“Jen was great! We dropped Cooper off for the day and felt very comfortable leaving, knowing he was in great hands! Her two dogs were very sweet and were great companions for Cooper during his day there. When we picked Cooper up it was obvious he had a great day and was well taken care of. We would definitely bring Cooper back again when we are in the area.”

About: I grew up with all kinds of animals including cats, dogs, chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and the list goes on! I'm comfortable around all animals, and I absolutely adore them all! I go to school full time, but I do not have classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. I can be available between classes on Wednesday and Thursday. There's lots of room for flexibility in my schedule. I will follow all instructions the owner provides. I can crate animals, take them on walks, feed, and water them, and keep them entertained throughout the day.
“Heather and Calob are so awesome! I’m so glad to have found them to watch our two pups. They are so flexible, responsive and easy to coordinate with. They were great about sending photos too. And our pups sure loved them. Looking forward many more stays in the future!”

“Allyse hosted my dog for doggy day care since she panics when left alone. Itza had good company while I was at work, Allyse took great care of her, providing lunch, potty breaks, and sun bathing time in their fully gated yard. Itza will be back, I highly recommend Allyse!”

“So happy we booked with Robyn! She was so kind and helpful. Really appreciated her great communication too. She took excellent care of our anxious dog, sent photos and updated us throughout the day. Would be very glad to book with her again!”

“Susannah and Richard were so kind and great to work with! They took excellent care of our nervous dog during a holiday, allowing us to spend valuable time with family, which we really appreciated. They asked helpful questions to make sure they could provide the best care for our dog, and they made sure to take him out for walks and give him lots of good attention. We are so glad we met them, and would definitely recommend them to anyone!”

“Steven hosted my dog over for doggy day care when I received a last minute cancellation from another sitter. All worked out great. Steven had prompt communication, understood dog behavior and needs, followed through on my requests on how to care for my dog. Perfect experience, highly recommend! My dog will be back!”

About: Hi! I’m Zahra, a dedicated dog sitter based in Sonoma County. I’ve cared for dogs, and cats of all sizes and personalities… Im an active person that loves any excuse to go to the beach or out for a hike. Have experience working with anxious, gentle, and special needs puppers. As well as large excitable breeds. Good with administering medications on schedule, based on the pets established routine with their human. With me you’ll get Daily photo/video updates Walks tailored to energy level Safe, clean environment Fast response time Feel free to message me with any questions! I work from home which provides plenty of extra time to spend with my animal friends. Since I am a very active person I find it quite lovely to have a reason to get up and out to enjoy the day. I have a fenced yard, and a very friendly female dog. Breakfast is at 9am, followed by walk and play time at 11am. Then some water, and rest. Dinner is at 5:30, followed by one more walk and/or play. I love a bed dog, but also respect kennel training, or if the owner prefers the dog sleep on their bed.
About: Currently being a stay at home mother, my hours are very flexible! Growing up with cats and dogs, my kiddos and I are currently lacking the fun presence of furry friends! Although my apartment is not the biggest, allowing only one dog at a time allows all of my attention to be focused. If pets are to stay overnight you can expect daily walks, trips to dog parks and most likely a bath if we get too ambitious. I am an adventurous person that believes dogs have individual personalities and unique characteristics that should be embraced and loved. Allowing pets to cuddle up on the couch MAY be negotiated because I am a sucker for puppy eyes. I am currently a stay at home with my three kiddos. I home school, so including a dog in the mix is so much fun for us! We often go on walks and trips to the park. I have a fenced yard, doggie door for easy outside access and loving, gentle kids to keep your animals company with lots of love and play.

Just let me know what your needs are, and I'm sure I could accommodate! I also have my son Luca to help me. Warmly, Toni I am able to be with your pet most hours of the day. “Robert and Sheila were fantastic! They were responsive and easy to work and took great care of our little one, Shelby. Their sweet dog Yoti was patient with our timid and over-attached dog Shelby. Yoti is friendly and welcoming……just like Robert and Sheila. Their home had a beautiful back yard where the dogs can roam together, and Rob is there with them all day while he works. We were fortunate to find them.”

“Jo had a great time with Alexis! She came out from her day visit with a huge smile and lots of adventures! Loved getting updates and pictures through the day as well. Great fit for my sweet, but Velcro dog.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 482 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Lairds Landing. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Lairds Landing commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
