“What can I say that hasn't already been said? Olivia is well-loved on here for a reason! She is warm, caring and responsible. You will have nothing to worry about even if you are the most anxious type of pet parent, as I am after trying so many sitters over the years and some of them have not been great. These days I have a very shy and skittish type of kitty, he wouldn't come out at all (even after several days) for the last sitter I tried. With Liv, it's a totally different story. He not only ate well (which was an issue the last time I tried to leave him), but also he came out for his dinner while she was there, and allowed pets!! She made an effort to show that she was reading the detailed instructions I left, communicated exactly how everything went with notes and photos, and just generally has a gentle, sweet energy that would put anyone at ease. She clearly takes pride in doing things well, and it shows that she loves animals. I feel lucky to have found her to care for my little guy!”
About: During my time in college I lived in a 1 bedroom apartment by myself which felt a bit lonely, so I decided to sign up to foster adult cats. Because of this my experience with cats may be less than someone who grew up with them, but let me tell you: foster cats are no joke. I have dealt with any type of temperment you can think of, and administered many types of medication from pills to SQ injections. In the last 2 years I had 8 different cats call my place their home, and I wouldn't change it for anything. About: I started dog walking and petsitting in 2022. I'm great at reinforcing recall and working with all kinds of dogs, from independent off-leash to dogs that are prone to separation anxiety. I am currently working from home and part time at that so I have plenty of energy to devote to making sure your furry friend is well taken care of. I'm fairly active and get at least 2 walks in a day and enjoy hiking as well. I usually take dogs on walks 2x daily unless otherwise instructed. I have trained and competed in agility with my Australian shepherds, and I have worked with and trained dogs of all ages. When I played varsity polo for Virginia Tech, my team was charge of all aspects of care for our 16 horses during the school year. I have ridden and cared for over 100 horses since I was young. I spent several years volunteering at a veterinary clinic and later at a humane society, where I gained hands-on experience in animal care, handling, and support. I telework so I am at home most of the day. When I do leave, my dog gets to hang out in the dog run where he has access to comfy beds, toys and an upstairs patio where he can keep an eye on all the goings-on.
