“Kevin was the primary care giver. He was helping me care for my husky with a wound. Kevin was patient and gentle with my dog. I was unsure how to get her foot soaked for 15 minutes twice a day. I am disabled and the vets office wasn't giving me any good advice. He showed me how to get her into the tub and keep her there for 15 minutes without over stressing her. He was very impressive. About: Walked and fed my neighbors dog since I was 13, until I moved out of state. Then got my first dog Maia, who is now 7. She had endometria and has arthritis and I’ve been there for her through sickness and health! Also got my second dog Peanut who is the clumsiest bullmastiff ever! He is 4 now. I’m great with big dogs and small dogs. I served in the army where I have dog sat, dropped in for feedings, walked multiple dogs and house sat for multiple friends and colleagues. I’m currently transitioning from active duty and waiting for my Texas nursing license to transfer to a New York. I live with my girlfriend who is a veterinary technician with over 15 years of experience. Ours is a loving home, with a large, securely fenced yard. Our top priority is to keep your dog safe, feeling comfortable, and relaxed, just as they would be in their own home. I offer boarding, walks, in home visits, and more. I am comfortable giving meds, preparing special diets, and caring for puppies as well as seniors. I used to train and show dogs when I was younger, and can help get your puppy off on the right foot with house training. Dog sitting is my only job, and my flexible schedule revolves around that. I can be available at any reasonable time for pick-up and drop off appointments. I'm home almost all of the time to be with the dogs, only leaving to run brief errands when necessary. All dogs are cared for in my home. I have a large, securely fenced in back yard. During the day, dogs are free to be outside to play in the backyard as much as they wish. All dogs sleep in large crates or X-pens in our comfortable dog room at night, or when we are not home. We have a young cavalier who would be happy to have new friends to play with. For safety, I separate dogs for feeding and if we're out of the house, although it's rare that no one is home. Guests need to like other dogs and people.

I’ve been working there for over a year now, learning and applying a wide range of skills. In this role I’ve learned some key skills on how to ensure companions are safe and happy: 1. Body language: I observe everything from your dog’s head to tail to minimize reactivity due to human- animal misunderstandings 2. Health indicators: although I’m not a vet, I was trained to recognize irregular symptoms a dog may be displaying such as stool texture and consistency, body temperature, excessive panting and drooling, gum color, etc. Anything your dog may be struggling with from itchy skin to something greater, I’ll notify you right away! 3. Communication: parents love hearing about their babies and seeing them happy and comfortable! By regular communication, this allows me to get clear instructions to follow, assess any changes needed in care or routine, and stay up to date in case of any rapid changes or emergencies. In addition, what sets me apart is my artistic attention to detail, which allows me to adapt to your dogs needs in a creative way. I like to challenge myself by finding ways to stimulate and enrich your dog while you are away! I’m very relaxed, quiet, and easygoing, but also spontaneous and go-with-the-flow should your dog get the zoomies! About: Experienced Pet Caretaker: From Puppies' Playtime to Senior Pill Prowess! I have cared for many puppies, as well as our Seniors. I love to play with the puppies, however, I love making sure the seniors get the cuddles and treats they desire! I have a senior in my own home and administer daily pills, multiple times per day. I also have a pitbull puppy who will run herself ragged outside while chasing balls, gardening, and just running around. She also loves hikes and walks! I run my own massage business for in home massage. I am only working three days a week for a few hours at a time. Taking care of the pets is really easy with my schedule! I can carve out as much time as they might need in my day. I aim to keep there routine as normal as possible. I am very flexible in making sure I can do that! I personally feed my own dogs two times per day (morning and night). I have crated my dogs at night for many years, but that is because they love their space. I don't mind having the animals out and about if that is what they prefer! I love to take my own animals on several walks per day, especially with apartment living! We can do anything from short walks to long hikes. I also have had to give my own dogs medications and am no stranger to senior care.

About: I have had much experience around animals. From the time I was little, our family has taken care of 3 dog and 5 cats. As I grew up, I have had my own cat that lived with me for 18 years, name was Virginia. She was half siamese. I am currently working partime, so I will have plenty of time working with your pups and cats! I am also available on the weekend for boarding! I have a nice apartment in a safe neighborhood in Irondequoit. I can walk and housesit your cat/dog in a safe place. Their is also a dog park behind my home.
