“Kathryn is a very nice sitter! She follows the instructions carefully and being really nice to my cats. She will contact me in time or asking for more she could help. Most importantly, she has the cutest window stickers!”

“Amber was excellent with my cat. She followed directions exactly, was on time, and my cat warmed up to her to quickly. What was most important to me is following directions, as my cat is very picky with who he is around. Amber followed them exactly. When I came back from my trip, my cat was happy and everything was cleaned up. Recommended.”

“Spencer did a great job with a drop-in visit for my two cats, Zu Zu and Mr. T. He was prompt, thorough, and made sure everything was taken care of while I was away. I appreciated the attention to detail and the care he showed for my cats. I’d definitely recommend Spencer to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter!”

“Wonderful! Kayligh was friendly and professional. We booked her for 2x/day drop ins, for feeding and insulin for my 14 year old cat. He’s very personable and after losing his companion cat last year seems to be lonely when we left. My last sitter would medicate and leave, but Kayligh stayed and played and visited with him. She was perfectly on time and very friendly with us and him. Would book again, and I definitely recommend her.”
“Kevin kept an eye on my cats while I went away for Christmas. He was awesome! He was attentive to the cats when he came over, cleaned the litter boxes and gave them cat food. He even took the time to warm up and play with them for a while when he came over. I’ll definitely be using Kevin again anytime I need a drop in visit!”

About: Growing up, I had 4 dogs and a cat, seperated between households. More recently, I've been much more cat oriented since my partner is a lover of cats. I try to stay up to date on training research, and I'm big on communication! Your pet is your family member, and I want to know how to treat them best! I'm a freelancer so my schedule is always changing! I travel a lot both locally and further so making stops and changes in my plans are normal for me! I like to know exactly how you want your pet treated so expect lots of questions so I can ensure your pet feels safe and happy while their best friend (you) is away!
“Ayah left us detailed messages about her drop in visits with our cat, and made sure that she had as much fun and love as possible while we were away. I would definitely recommend Ayah!!”

About: Walked and fed my neighbors dog since I was 13, until I moved out of state. Then got my first dog Maia, who is now 7. She had endometria and has arthritis and I’ve been there for her through sickness and health! Also got my second dog Peanut who is the clumsiest bullmastiff ever! He is 4 now. I’m great with big dogs and small dogs. I served in the army where I have dog sat, dropped in for feedings, walked multiple dogs and house sat for multiple friends and colleagues. I’m currently transitioning from active duty and waiting for my Texas nursing license to transfer to a New York. So I’m free to take pups on long walks, spend the day with them or just pop in for feeds! I love playing with dogs and cats. I’m very loving to all animals and will give lots of pets, attention and play with them while caring for them.

About: Hello, welcome to my page! My name is Savannah and I am an experienced pet owner/pet sitter. I have watched dogs of all different sizes (trust me I’ve watched anywhere from a small King Charles to a Great Dane). I can walk your dog, let your dog out to play, help teach them commands and more! I have been dog sitting for over 5 years and absolutely love it. I have 2 dogs of my own, one of my babies has Idiopathic Epilepsy - medical case dogs are welcome! I also have 6 cats and a snake! All animal types are welcome! I have experience providing medication and injections. I truly love animals and I hope you give me the opportunity to watch yours! Thank you, I hope to hear from you soon! Rover is my world, I enjoy dog sitting and I can provide pet sitting at any and all times needed as long as available on my calendar. While caring for your pet in your home, my eyes are all on them. Potty breaks, walks, even just chilling on the couch, they will have my complete attention.
About: I’ve had a dog all my life and I can’t imagine life without a dog! I have been dog sitting about 5 years now and I know how important and stressful it is to leave your pet in the care of another. I have experience being a dog walker and even a cat walker, and as an overnight dog sitter for multiple weeks. I am very respectful of your home and understand that a home is your safe place and I treat it with that same reverence. I have some experience administering meds to both cats and dogs. I have not met a pet I didn’t like, even those with “strong” personalities. I have experience with anxious and cautious dogs and I am willing to put in the work to earn their trust. While you are away your pet will receive nonstop love and attention. When you return home, your fluffy pet will be just as happy and cared for as they were when you left. I love animals and I love being able to help families out by relieving the stress and burden of finding a safe sitter to watch your pet.
“Stacie was amazing with our pets. Our dogs can be particular and overly anxious, but they were always excited to see her. She asked questions about our animals that I hadn’t thought of and really wanted to make sure they were well taken care of. She always kept us updated and sent us lots of pictures. I would absolutely book Stacie again in the future. She is wonderful.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bergen. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
