About: I adjust my energy to the animal, genuinely hyper and excited with a dog, calm and respectful to a cat. Loving pets and sweet towards them. Have dropped in for family and friends' pets like dog walking and relieving, feeding chinchilla, feeding and playing with cat, taking care of litter. I currently am in-between jobs so pretty flexible with time. I'd like to save my time outside 9am-5pm with my family, but outside from that I can do some drop-in visits. Occasionally, house sits. I'm currently not thinking of doing any boarding service. I have one cat and two bedrooms so technically I can keep him in one room, if needed. If it is a drop in visit, I will respect the client's guideline on where is off bounds, lure the pet out with some treats, for some play time or sitting together (with cats), or walking with dogs.
About: I think I love cats and have them since I am little and if I could, I would have at least 10 of them haha I worked as a volunteer in a shelter in Erie PA, I used to play with cats and they used to have around 50 cats and as a volunteer I need to follow protocol to protect the cats. Unfortunately I had to move or otherwise I would be there as a volunteer still. That includes Shihztus, Rottweilers, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Border Collies. I'm patient and responsible. My goal in any work field, but especially with your loved ones and possessions, is being reliable and communicating. This is what I find in my experience to be key for providing the best care and peace of mind. I work full time as a receptionist Mon - Fri, 8 to 4:30. This provides a lot of morning visits and overnight potential. Evening walks would works great as well. For specific requests, I can even dip into PTO to make the right situation work if a mid day visit is required during the work week. My Saturdays and Sundays are fully open at this time. I'm very patient and observant when interacting with pets of different personalities. Once informed on how you'd like your loved one to be cared for, I will do so in that manner. An obvious statement, but you'd be surprised how important that is to be said. If unsure or uncertain of care, we can brainstorm together as well to make sure I'm the correct sitter for the job.
“Jolene went above and beyond for my cat Princess. Just like her name she can be a lot to handle sometimes but Jolene really saw through to all of it. First of all, she took my booking even though I was booked for the same day. This was my first time using rover and the first time Princess has been away from me, but Jolene told me how everything works and made sure I was more than comfortable. When I got to her home I forgot Princess’ food due to how last minute everything was and Jolene went out and bought my baby some food. She had a whole room set up for Princess with toys and made it so easy for Princess to adjust to the environment. I got multiple videos, pictures and messages Of Princess and how she was doing/adjusting. She spent time with her! I genuinely could not have asked for anyone more helpful, understanding and caring. I couldn’t thank her enough for everything she did over the past 7 days and I am more than happy with this experience.”
