“Kathryn has been amazing!! Always on time and very professional. She is great with Trooper, and gives me daily updates after his walks. She is also very responsive to her messages. I highly suggest!!”

“Kevin was the primary care giver. He was helping me care for my husky with a wound. Kevin was patient and gentle with my dog. I was unsure how to get her foot soaked for 15 minutes twice a day. I am disabled and the vets office wasn't giving me any good advice. He showed me how to get her into the tub and keep her there for 15 minutes without over stressing her. He was very impressive. He obviously loves animals, and has a talent to calm them.”

“She is absolutely great with our dog. Only a half hour walk, but she took the time to get to know him, and make sure he had a comfortable first meeting. We'll always have her back to help with Ryu's care. Thank you.”

“David is an absolutely phenomenal dog sitter! He took amazing care of my boyfriend and I’s two huskies, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. My boyfriend especially gets so so so anxious about anybody watching them, and for him to be at peace 24/7 knowing David was there should say a lot. He was incredibly responsive and professional throughout the entire process. The numerous photos he sent gave me so much relief and reassurance, knowing my boys were in good hands and having a blast. I highly recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter! His wife was also extremely sweet and didn’t mind going on walks with our crazy boys and made the cutest art of them.”

I work a full time job but can definitely work walks in around my schedule. I cannot board any animals overnight because I do not have a crate. We have a large yard and lots of area to go for walks. There is a privacy fence in the backyard. There is one indoor/outdoor cat
About: I am a recent college graduate with a passion for animal care. Besides having two dogs of my own, I have dogsat for many friends and family members, with all different breeds of dogs. I am a huge animal lover and would love to meet your pet and take great care of them! I will send updates with photos because I know how it can be stressful being away from your pets/family! I currently work part-time, so have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I am off on Tuesdays, and Fri/Sat/Sun I only work until 12pm, so still lots of free time on weekends. I have a huge yard with lots of room for your pet to play in! It isn’t fenced in but I will keep them on a leash! I also live by the Genesee County Park where I can walk them, play fetch, etc.
“Hannah is awesome and super sweet. It can be hard trusting a “stranger” with our puppy but I did not need to worry one bit. Hannah showed Alfie so much love and was so kind to me. She was prompt, was an excellent communicator and friendly to everyone she encountered with Alfie. I am so lucky to have found her.”

About: Walked and fed my neighbors dog since I was 13, until I moved out of state. Then got my first dog Maia, who is now 7. She had endometria and has arthritis and I’ve been there for her through sickness and health! Also got my second dog Peanut who is the clumsiest bullmastiff ever! He is 4 now. I’m great with big dogs and small dogs. I served in the army where I have dog sat, dropped in for feedings, walked multiple dogs and house sat for multiple friends and colleagues. I’m currently transitioning from active duty and waiting for my Texas nursing license to transfer to a New York. So I’m free to take pups on long walks, spend the day with them or just pop in for feeds! I love playing with dogs and cats. I’m very loving to all animals and will give lots of pets, attention and play with them while caring for them.
“Karibian was a joy to have walk my dog Lani. She was professional, kind, knowledgeable and engaged in great conversation. Lani simple adores her. I had recently fallen and fractured my hip so I needed someone to walk my dog. She was very attentive to Lani, played with her and gave her plenty of loving. She also kept me company and was so kind in assisting me a few times, although she didn't have to. I will definitely contact Karibian again for any future pet needs. I highly recommend.”

“Joey was fantastic with my dog! He made sure that she was well-fed, walked, and had plenty of fun every time he visited her. He constantly kept me up to date with report cards and pictures. I would happily ask Joey to watch my dog again the next time I am out of town!”

About: I have had much experience around animals. From the time I was little, our family has taken care of 3 dog and 5 cats. As I grew up, I have had my own cat that lived with me for 18 years, name was Virginia. She was half siamese. I am currently working partime, so I will have plenty of time working with your pups and cats! I am also available on the weekend for boarding! I have a nice apartment in a safe neighborhood in Irondequoit. I can walk and housesit your cat/dog in a safe place. Their is also a dog park behind my home.
About: I love hiking and snuggling with my fur babies and hope to share the love with your fur family. I’ve fostered pups of all ages with different behavioral styles and volunteered for a handful of shelters and rescues. I do pop ins for a few locals in town and of course for my family. For me, there’s nothing more therapeutic than a fur baby and nature. I’d like to think I repay them for their endless love by easing their nerves while you’re away. I'm currently a dog Mawma to my 95 lb lap dog, Leana and a 25 lb pot cake, Millie. Leana is reactive on leash and takes strength on walks. And quite opposite of Leana, Millie is trained to walk off leash. My previous pup was a 100 lb pure bred Swissy (also a lap dog) who I lost to cancer. I was laid off from my up-tight corporate job and I'm looking to go back to what I know and love, animals. I own my house in Mt. Morris, NY (with a fenced yard!) and I spend a lot of time in Seabreeze/E. Irondequoit, NY, so my range in location is pretty wide. I'm currently available to stay in your home while you're on vacation, tend to your pets for an evening out, or make sure your pet gets the potty breaks and walks needed during a long work day. At my house in Mt. Morris, I have a fenced yard with 2 dogs and a cat, and my housemate. All are people and dog friendly. At your home, I'd abide by your requests.

I promise to treat your baby just as if it were my own! We have a cat and a dog and yes they sleep in the bed lol
“Sarah is such a great communicator, we had the pleasure of meeting her Wednesday and she was walking Tully on Friday! So informative and does a great job with him. Very happy we have someone we can depend on!”

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Le Roy. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.
For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Le Roy.

- 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
