About: I've cared for various animals for majority of my life, especially cats and dogs. I have been pet setting for the past 10 years and I've even had the opportunity to work with championship horses. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping a calm and comforting presence, I focus on creating a positive and stress-free experience for every pet. I provide dependable, attentive care tailored to each pet’s needs, from basic care routines to playtime. My purpose is to ensure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away Safety is highly important to me when caring for your pets. I always triple-check that items are returned to their designated places and that doors are locked. Often, before I leave a home, I will send updates with photos to let the owner know. I also prefer to have meet-and-greets before pet sitting to allow me to get to know your pets and their preferences. This also helps me in learning any medical or dietary attention your dog may need.

There were a couple times she had to come past the scheduled drop in time which initially had me nervous, but she made it and communicated well each time which put me at ease. About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve dedicated both my education and experience to caring for them. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Care and Behavior and I’m currently continuing my education in veterinary medicine. I also have hands on experience working with animals in professional boarding and daycare settings, along with several years of animal shelter volunteering. I’m comfortable caring for pets of different breeds, ages, sizes, personalities, and energy levels. For boarding, I'm able to plan my day around feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and your pet's normal routine. I'm also available throughout the week and on weekends. I live in a pet friendly apartment with an enclosed patio where pets can safely get some fresh air and relax. My community also has an on site fenced dog playground for supervised play and exercise, and I’m conveniently located near Shelby Farms trails and park for walks and outdoor time. Inside my home, pets are welcome to get comfortable and make themselves at home. I always follow each pet parent’s routine, feeding instructions, and safety preferences, and pets can be crated if requested. I have a friendly cat of my own who will remain comfortably in a separate room during boarding stays, giving your pet their own space to relax and settle in. 🐾

“I thought I give Rover a try with a drop in service with Tara. She's responsive with messages and we were able to meet and greet within the same day of request. My dog seemed to be ok with Tara when they met, and Tara is definitely passionately about dogs from meeting her twice and seeing her spending time with my dog. Glad Tara was able to help me with taking my dog out for a break in the middle of the day and give him refreshments. Will request for her help again in the future.”

I'm new to the Memphis area and looking to meet nice families who need help with their dogs. I can walk or play with them as well as sit when you're away. About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life, so caring for them comes naturally to me. I work part time, but have been able to easily care for my dog, as my hours aren’t for very long. I’m attentive to feeding schedules, walks, and playtime, and I make sure every pet in my care gets consistent attention throughout the day rather than being left alone for long stretches. I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own. Having grown up with dogs, I know how to read their body language, recognize signs of stress or illness, and respond calmly in unexpected situations. I keep a secure, pet-friendly environment and always follow the owner’s specific instructions for feeding, medications, or routines. Your dog’s comfort and safety are always my top priority.
