“Kali and her son were, last minute, able to look after moose for an hour. They followed the instructions and were very communicative. Moose was very happy to see them! Would book again.”

About: I've been a dog owner almost all of my life - a mini dachshund as a girl and two cavapoos as an adult. I've also been a long-time sitter for family and friends (Corgi Jake and Lab Rudy are in my pictures), and think of the dogs in my care one of our own. I look forward to connecting to see if I'm a good fit for your beloved pup. I'm a part-time grad student (online program) and full-time mama to toddler Jack (who's in Montessori school) and pup Seamus. We've moved to Spring Lake from Hoboken - days include walks by the lake, ball tosses in the backyard, and the dog beach in season (regular beach in the fall). It's important your pup feels comfortable with us! We allow our Seamus on the couches and will adhere to whatever rules you're most comfortable with.
“This was our first time leaving our cats for a long weekend, and Elizabeth made the experience completely stress-free! She followed our feeding instructions perfectly, gave the kitties plenty of playtime, and even earned the trust of our shy boy—no small feat. Her calm, caring energy was exactly what they needed, and it was clear they adored her. We’re so grateful for the peace of mind she gave us while we were away. We’ll definitely be using her again and highly recommend her to any cat families looking for a reliable, thoughtful sitter!”

“Kristin was so kind and helped us out last minute with a walk for our senior dog while we were out at a concert! Kristin was super communicative and came just when she said she would. Thank you so much, Kristin! Would definitely ask her again.”

“Melissa is a wonderful pet sitter! She did drops ins for my two cats. She washed dirty bowls that my cats used after eating. I thought that was so thoughtful of her to do this. She also took pictures of my pets , the pet food she fed them, as well as the cat pen area that she cleaned, everyday. In addition, she came over the day it was supposed to snow, on very short notice, for additional drop in visits. I asked her if she could do drops ins the day before, for this day. And even though it was short notice for this additional booking, she agreed to do the drop ins. I was relieved to not have to travel back home, an hour away, in inclement weather, the next day. I am so grateful for her hard work and for excepting my last minute booking, without much prior notice. Melissa is a reliable , flexible and kind pet sitter! I highly recommend her!”

“Hunter did a great job with our two dogs and was very responsive to our “visit” service request, did a meet and greet with us earlier this past week and executed on our the agreed to services . Very reliable, pleasant and mature. We received updates and photos on each visit. Hunter is highly recommended.”

“Rachel was great! Our dogs loved her. Not only did she feed and walk them to go potty, she spent time playing with them in the yard. They loved chasing the ball and getting belly rubs. Rachel is a sweet and caring person and would highly recommend her to care for your fur babies!”

“Heather has been an occasional caregiver for our puppy, Jerry and our cat, Lola for the last 4 months. She was the first person to puppy sit for Jerry after we got him, and we are so glad that we found her through Rover! Heather assists with last minute dog walks, holiday pet sitting for the cat, as well as drop-ins. She is consistently reliable, and we've always felt 100% comfortable leaving her to care for the pets. We are so happy that she lives just down the road and will definitely be using her for future pet sitting!”

About: I grew up with dogs. A dog, sometimes two or three, was always in our house and a part of my family. I’ve been around dogs of all ages, sizes and breeds, understanding each one is unique and needs certain care. I have helped train a chocolate lab (a very energetic boy named Brody) from a puppy. I understand dogs are a part of your family and will provide that love and care towards them. I care for my two cats, Avy and Moose along with my partner. Since we share responsibilities of our cats and my 9-5 job is remote I am able to schedule sits and walks regularly. My girlfriend and I currently have two cats who are a part of our everyday lives. They like to wake us up and sun bath by the windows. We love them

Absolutely amazing, super knowledgeable, immensely loving, sweet, and patient with our fur-babies!!! We have yet to have ever, even once, found such a kind, responsible, communicative and absolutely unparalleled person - let alone such a dynamic duo - as these two!!! My partner and I can both tell for 100% sure, from all of the gorgeous, super adorable, photos that Kathy and John take on each of their drop-ins and long walks with our two doggos, that they cannot wait for the next time that Kathy and John come to care for them 🥰😍🤩. Each and every visit, they go for long walks, smell all the sniffs in our neighborhood, play games inside and outside, and get all the food, water, love and attention that they need!! They are simply the best!!

Rachel was great! Our dogs loved her. Not only did she feed and walk them to go potty, she spent time playing with them in the yard. They loved chasing the ball and getting belly rubs. Rachel is a sweet and caring person and would highly recommend her to care for your fur babies!

Jessica is extremely reliable. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and is a true extension with training our 8 month old Havanese, Pebbles. The consistency adds to Pebbles success. The lond voice and affection Jessica gives to Pebbles is appreciated and genuine. We highly recommend Jessica!!

Emily is the absolute best! We continue to rebook her to take care of our 2 dogs. By now she has built a beautiful relationship with our boys. She goes above and beyond to make sure they eat and that they are in good spirits when we have to go away. Our boys are very attached to us and they get so sad when we have to leave them. Emily is so caring and attentive with them. This last time when we returned from our trip the boys looked so happy and healthy. That was all thanks to the wonderful care and attention Emily gives them. I love getting the updates from her, each update comes in on time with pictures and videos. It eases my mind and heart that my babies are being cared for by such a wonderful person. She’s a star! We are so lucky to have found her. ✨🤩✨

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
