About: Hello, my name is Sophia! I am located in Franklin, MA. I’ve been working in the animal care industry for 5 years and have worked at multiple different daycare/boarding facilities. I not only have experience in pet care, but also dog training. I am looking forward to meeting you and your pup/kitty! I am currently working per diem so my schedule can be inconsistent. However, since I do not work the same hours every week, I will be better able to make the time that adheres to your needs and schedule. Your pup’s health and safety will always be my top priority. During walks or overnight stays, your dog/cat will be my main focus at all times. I am always on top of your pets needs whether it is a walk, potty break, play time, feeding & water, or litter scooping; no task is too big or small.

Cheryl took great care of my two cats while I was on a two week vacation. She handled food, water, treats, litter, and play just right. From the meet and greet, I could tell she has a sweet and gentle touch and really understands how to relate to cats. Her thorough updates including photos kept me confident that they were in good hands.

About: Hi, my wife Ali and I have been taking care of and walking dogs for years. We have 3 small dogs and 1 parrot of our own. We live in a house with our own yard. My wife is always home as she works from home and I work overnight so your pet will never be alone. We love to care for all dogs or other animals! We have 2 young children so your dog must be good around kids as well. If you have any questions please message me. Unfortunately at the time we are not accepting any large breeds (dogs that stand really tall on 4 legs) unless they are a small puppy and are 35-40lbs or less. We also do not take dogs that mark all over the house, one accident is expected when nervous. We are am extremely flexible with pet schedules, as of right now we bring our own dogs out every 3-4 hours for potty breaks and playtime outdoors. We visit a local dog park and we also have a yard. We have our own yard and we will be outside with your dog on leash, never left unsupervised, safety for everyone is important to us.

Cate is amazing! She saved our vacation twice! First time by being willing to step in last minute after plans with another sitter fell through - Cate did a same day meet & greet and impressed us so much with her calm competence that we felt okay leaving. The second time was by winning over our most neurotic kitty and convincing her to eat, so we could continue our vacation rather than driving back to feed her (which has happened before)! Cate took beautiful photos of all our kitties, and quickly mastered administering multiple meds and fluids to our most senior kitty. She kept us completely updated all the time we were away. We are so happy we found Cate and look forward to having her take care of our kitties again!

Kate was absolutely fantastic. It was the first time using a cat sitter and the first time leaving our cats. We travelled internationally so I really wanted someone I could trust. From the walk through before we travelled, I had an instant warmth and trust with Kate. During our travels she was always on time, her check-ins were very descriptive which I really appreciated and the photos she took of our cats were adorable! I was so happy that our cats welcomed her and warmed up to her very quickly, for not so cuddling cats they were very cuddling with Kate. I would highly recommend and will definitely be rebooking her for future needs. I actually feel sad that my cats won’t be seeing her on the daily for a while and I’m sure the cats are sad too!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bellingham. On Rover:

  • 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
