About: Growing up with dogs, especially Golden Retrievers, has given me a lifetime of love and experience. My journey began as a kennel tech at a veterinary office, where I learned how to care for dogs with diverse needs, from specialized diets and medication to post-op care and lots of playtime. I even worked as a kennel tech at a doggie daycare in college, picking up countless tips for handling all kinds of personalities. After losing my Golden Retriever, Gonzo—my loyal friend through my teenage years—I chose not to get another dog. But for the past 25 years, I’ve been the go-to caregiver for friends’ dogs, showering them with the same love and attention I would for my own. I bring both experience and a heart full of affection to every pet I care for. I’m currently working part-time, primarily in the evenings and on weekends, which leaves me with plenty of free time to care for your dog. I’m also home every night, so you can rest assured that your pup will have company and attention if they’re boarding with us. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or simply extra cuddles, I have the flexibility to give your dog the care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I am CPR & First Aid Certified for Dogs & Cats through American Red Cross. Our home is set up with a concrete block fenced backyard with two secure gates, so dogs have a safe space to play. We also have a large pool with a safety fence to ensure that kids and dogs can’t accidentally access it. Our home is completely smoke-free, and we don’t have any other pets, so your dog will be the center of attention. With two adults and one gentle 10-year-old child in the house, your pet will be cared for in a calm, loving environment.

About: I truly treat every pet like they’re my own🤎 — with patience, love, and attention to their unique needs. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, including shy or anxious pets, senior animals, energetic puppies, and bottle-fed kittens. I have two Scottish straight cats at home. I grew up with dogs that did not get along- So i know how to take precaution when needed. I grew up with Australian Shepards my whole life, extremely high energy so nothing is too much for me. I’m calm, reliable, and I always follow instructions closely to make sure your pet feels safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, meds, slow walks, or just quiet company, I adjust my care to what your pet needs most. I currently plan to do rover full time so i can accompany your pets needs while also working part time on the weekends usually at night. I currently offer drop-in visits, walks and overnight stays in your home, so your pets can stay in a familiar, comfortable environment. I follow any routines or instructions you provide closely — whether that’s feeding, playtime, litter box cleaning, medication, or just giving them some love and attention. I’ll always bring my own waste bags. I aim to keep things calm, and stress-free for both you and your pets while you’re away.

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life, and 24 years ago I had the wonderful privilege of becoming a pet owner myself. Over the years, I’ve cared for countless pets for family and friends while they were away—and I’ve enjoyed every single moment. Today, I have a dog of my own and also care for outdoor cats, so I truly understand how important it is to keep your pets happy, safe, and loved while you’re gone. I originally started Rover with my daughter, a proud UCF graduate, and I’ve loved the experience so much that I’ve continued on my own! Currently, I’m not working a full-time job, which means I have the time and flexibility to give your pets the attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or snuggles, I’m here to help in any way I can. I look forward to taking care of your furry family members as if they were my own! I will spend the time with your furry loved one and take care of them in anyway you need. I’m very patient with our furry friends. I will spend the time with your furry loved one and take care of them in anyway you need. I’m very patient with our furry friends.

About: I've had pets my whole life, especially dogs who've enjoyed long and happy lives. Right now, I even have a sweet old 14-year-old lab mix. Hey, I'm free right now and happy to help out. Plus, I've got my own ride, so getting to you and your furry friend won't be a problem at all! I get that every pet and their person has their own special way of doing things. Just tell me what your pet needs, and I'll make sure they get exactly the care you want.

About: I grew up fostering animals so I learned a lot of my pet care skills through that. Now that I’m older I’m the one everyone in my family trusts to take care of their pets and I truly love it. I’m always surrounded my animals and I have a baby of my own named Mr. Beef. He is everything to me so I understand what I means to let someone else watch your baby and I can’t wait to make your pets feel loved!! Currently I’m working part time so I have pretty open availability. I’ll be completely free the 27-30th and will be in the Brooklyn/ City area. I’m really in tune with each pet’s personality and what makes them feel comfortable. When I’m staying in someone’s home, I make sure to respect their space and stick closely to the pet’s usual routine. I want them to feel safe, cared for, and as relaxed as possible while their owner is away.

I would love to help you with your furry loved ones too! I am a retired Physical Therapist Assistant and after taking care of people for years now I really want to just take care of animals. They calm my soul and fill my heart with their unconditional love. I enjoy taking doggies for walks, or sitting with a kitty on my lap. My best memories involve somebody with four legs! ;o) I will stay in your home and care for all your needs while I am there. All pet care needs as well as watering plants, mail/package collecting, home security, whatever needs attention. I will leave your home clean and well respected. I have never had a dissatisfied client, and my integrity is one thing I bring with me everywhere I go.

About: I grew up in a house with both cats and dogs where everyone got along great! Once I moved out of the house I adopted my first rescue dog and have had dogs as pets ever since. Currently fostering dogs for Orange County Animal Services and have helped them get several dogs adopted into forever homes. I have regularly helped friends with dogsitting and housesitting while they are away from home, and have taken care of dogs of all sizes and ages. Currently working part time, from home, so my schedule is very flexible on both weekdays and weekends. Mornings or afternoons I'm available for pet play dates or walking. Trusting our pets with someone else is a big step, so I take their safety and security very seriously. When walking a dog I'm always cautious about traffic, strangers, or other pets that have been let off leash. Building trust with your pet is the best way to keep them safe so they can see you again soon!

Karen R.Star Sitter
“When my daughter was young, we had to keep after her to feed our dog and take care of him. We had a cat who showed up one day and she was our pet for several years, but she ended up with cancer. By this time, my daughter was a teenager and we went together with the cat to the vet. She handled it well as the vet took care of her and it sparked her interest in animal care. After that, she started taking complete care of our dog and ended up working as a kennel tech our veterinarian's office, as well as at an aviary. That's when she decided she wanted to be a veterinarian. She chose not to fulfill her dream of being a vet, but she has always loved and done well with animals. Instead of being a vet, she graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation, where she learned about a wide variety of animals and plants. While at UF, she was a kennel tech at a doggie day care. She also frequently volunteered with Operation Catnip to assist with the pre-op and post-op care of stray cats being spayed and neutered. I know she would be a great asset to Rover and I have complete confidence she would be able to handle any situation with the dogs.”
