“Giuliana has been absolutely amazing! I don't leave many reviews online, but she 100% deserves the recognition. Giuliana has gone above and beyond, I will definitely ask for her to pet sit next time it's needed.”

“Savannah took great care of my cat Piper and even managed to win her over during the first few visits. It was so reassuring to know that Piper was being taken care of and to receive Savannah's detailed updates!”

“She is very communicative and prompt, consistent and thorough. I have cameras so I got to see how much my dogs loved her. So reliable and I’m grateful she could keep my dogs safe and happy!”

About: I have worked in the veterinary medicine industry for approximately 9-10 years. I am now a Vet Assistant in a small animal hospital. I have worked with and been around maybe different animals since I was young. I have also worked with horses for approximately 14 years in many different settings. I am fear free certified and truly enjoy giving an owner peace of mind that their pet is in great hands! 💛 If my schedule does not reflect your needs, please message me, I can be flexible at times. I am employed full-time with a 4-day work week. I am available on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays at any time. Other days of the week, I am available for PM drop-ins. When pet-sitting, I follow instructions from the owner and do not vary from the directions unless advised. I understand the importance of a pet's routine and sticking as closely to that as possible. I care for all animals with the same gentle, caring approach I use with my own pets. I am equipped to administer medication if needed.
“James was great with my wild boys. I needed someone last min and he was on it! He's attentive, communicative, warm and put my dogs at ease. Glad to have found him and will use his services again.”

About: I've been a dog lover and owner for more than 25 years and have experience caring for dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. My first two dogs lived to be 16 years old, giving me firsthand experience with the patience, attention, and extra care senior dogs often need. Today, I share my life with Bailey Love, my 5½-year-old rescue pup and adventure buddy. We spend lots of time exploring the trails and woods around Asheville, and it's where he's happiest. Bailey is friendly, well-trained, and loves making new friends...both human and canine. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, playtime, or simply curling up for a nap, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away. I treat every dog as family and will provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing they're in good hands. ***For overnight stays, Bailey would be with me - he is great with cats; he has grown up in a house with 3+ cats and litters of kittens and pups.*** I own my own business and teach yoga, which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. You'll often find me on the trails with my dog, Bailey Love, exploring the woods and soaking up nature. If your dog enjoys walks, hikes, sniffing every leaf, and outdoor adventures, we'll have a wonderful time together! For pets who prefer a slower pace, I'm equally happy providing cuddles, companionship, and calm care at home. 🐾💜 Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. If your pet stays in my home, they will be treated like family. While I do not have a fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised. Dogs can enjoy walks in my neighborhood, adventures on local trails, or relaxing time outside on a lead if they enjoy being outdoors. When caring for pets in your home, I will treat your space with the same respect and care I give my own. I understand the trust involved in welcoming someone into your home and caring for a beloved family member. For drop-in visits, I often have the flexibility to stay a little longer when schedules allow. As a business owner, I can sometimes bring my laptop and work from your home while spending extra time with your pet, offering additional companionship, playtime, cuddles, and comfort while you're away. My goal is to help your pet feel safe, loved, and as relaxed as possible until you're back home.
“Autumn is great! Whether she is stopping by to let my dog out or boarding him for the weekend, I always feel confident that he is getting the utmost love and care. She is reliable, communicative and dependable and my dog and I highly recommend her!”

About: I have been looking after animals my entire life. I watched pets for neighbors growing up, walking, feeding and administering medicine. I have looked after dogs and cats for friends whenever they go out of town. I currently work weekday mornings, and two days a week I also work afternoons. My morning shifts are 6 hours, so I will have time to check on your fur babies early in the morning, and again around 2pm most days, or until 6pm the other two days. I’m free all day saturdays and sundays! I will follow whatever instructions you leave for me regarding how you’d like me to care for your pet while you’re away. I can administer medicine if necessary, and will give lots of love no matter what!
“Ashleigh is the absolute best. My kitties love her! I trust her completely with their care while we’re away. She always gives thorough updates and pictures, really gives me peace of mind. She pays attention to details always responds quickly! Cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Ashleigh for loving on our babies while we’re away!”

“Kendra has watched our puppy 3 times now. She’s been so reliable, quick with communication, and has gone above and beyond by accommodating all of my many requests during the visit. We are so grateful for all her help”

About: I'm that go to friend that everyone always asks to love on their pets while they are busy or out of town. I've had all sorts of pets in my life too. No requests to weird. I love to send selfies of your furbabies so you know they are safe and happy. I live in west Asheville and am able to travel to close towns. I have taken care of the special needs of animals I cared for. Pills and special food is all good. I do require a meet up drop in visit before we book a stay. I want to meet you and your pet in their own home and learn about their particular needs. This is so we both feel that your fur baby is being cared for the way they are used to. Less stress for pets and pet parents this way. I do work outside of pet sitting, but still have free time for pets. Im available for overnight stays as well. I will treat your home as I would my own. And yes I can bring in the mail(or packages) for you too. I appreciate written care instructions. That way if there is ever an emergency I can take the best possible care of your pet in a timely manner. LGBTQ+ friendly (obviously lol)

Marni has been watching my two cats and my dog when I’m away for years, and I can’t recommend her enough. She is reliable, kind, and truly loves animals. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Beaverdam. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
