Wow! Heather is an absolute gem who exceeded our expectations and put our anxieties to rest! I truly can't recommend Heather enough. She is competent, friendly, ready to help, and most importantly, was really sweet and patient with our cats--one of whom is extremely shy of strangers. By the end of our vacation Heather had won over and made friends with our scaredy boy kitty. Heather kept us apprised of each visit with photos as well as detailed and humorous updates that really set our minds and hearts at ease. She was also more than willing to water a few of our plants and tend to a few things around our house. Please book Heather if you are looking for the very best pet sitter!

About: I have a passion for animals. I worked in a pet store for over year, enjoying being able to help pet owners find what their pets need. It’s rewarding to be able to help pet parents and pets get relief. Animals are giving and loving and I enjoy them so much. I have nine guinea pigs myself (which won’t effect my availability:)) and they are the absolute light of my life. Your pets will get so much love and care with me as your sitter. I love all animals, and I am comfortable with most dog sizes. I grew up with small dogs, rodents, and lizards. I understand that dogs need time outside for relieving themselves as well as exercise and fresh air. Every other kind of pet is also just as amazing, and I’d love to love and care for them too! I will be spending all the time I have with your pet. I wake up early to take care of them and I come home immediately after work to spend the evening with your pet. My job starts early, so I will have most of the afternoon and all evening to spend with them. I spend as much time as possible with your pet. I work full time, but make it a priority to be consistent so your pet knows what to expect from me and feels safe.

Savanah is the best and our dogs LOVE her! She takes the absolute best care of our two large breed dogs while we travel. She makes sure they get a great amount of play and activity during her drops in while making sure the essentials are taken care off (food, water, etc). Her communication is top tier and we are super thankful for her help!

This was our first experience using Rover and it was perfect. Morgan was so nice and stopped by the day before our trip to meet the fluffs and learn their routine. We got photos and videos when she stopped by and was flexible with our schedule which we really appreciated. Thank you for picking up our last minute request on a holiday no less! We highly recommend Morgan.

Saving Grace for my cats. During the snow storm she made sure the cats were fed and comfortable and safe. I can't express how grateful I was and am for Jesse. I knew what was happening at all times which eased my worry so much. She always communicates fully. Even my cautious cat loves her. You can tell without a doubt she operates with care and love. She is an absolute gem.

About: I started working in boarding kennels straight out of high school 13 years ago. I did that until I got into dog grooming 6 years ago. I’m looking to get back into the passion of caring for all sorts of dogs not just cutting their hair now that I’m home full time. I have experience in administering medication, and any special dietary needs. I have a two year old daughter, Laeton. She’s in daycare during the week periodically & My availability is pretty flexible. I look forward to meeting you & your fur babies soon 🤗🥰🐶🐾 I am a stay at home mom, looking to make some extra money, i have stepped out of working a full time job to be home with my two year old daughter because daycare is unfortunately unreliable so , I'm home about 80 percent of the time. I will feed / water them twice a day walks 4x a day. I have a field beside my house , I live in the country. I am also available to pick up dogs and take them on walks , I’m all about taking pictures so I’ll definitely blow your phone up with pictures while your baby is in my care.

About: I have been looking after animals my entire life. I watched pets for neighbors growing up, walking, feeding and administering medicine. I have looked after dogs and cats for friends whenever they go out of town. I currently work weekday mornings, and two days a week I also work afternoons. My morning shifts are 6 hours, so I will have time to check on your fur babies early in the morning, and again around 2pm most days, or until 6pm the other two days. I’m free all day saturdays and sundays! I will follow whatever instructions you leave for me regarding how you’d like me to care for your pet while you’re away. I can administer medicine if necessary, and will give lots of love no matter what!

Bradly did a great job watching our two dogs while we were out of town for a few days. We had him drop in 3 times a day. He arrived promptly at the designated times, fed, walked and played with our pups. He is very kind and responsive giving us comfort that they were getting the attention they need. Our English Springer Spaniel is full of energy and Brad was able to give him the play time fetching sticks to burn off some of his energy. We live on a few acres so having someone that is also active was important to us. We trusted Bradly with our home and pets and would definitely use him again.

About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. I’m patient, attentive, and love creating a calm, happy environment. Whether it’s giving medication, handling high-energy dogs, or comforting shy pets, I tailor my care to each pet’s needs. Our pets are our best friends, and it's my goal to ensure that we enjoy our time together! While it may be my job to provide care and love to your pets while you're away, I can also say that I value my time spent with each animal! Nothing makes my heart happier than a wagging tail or a slobbery kiss :) I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule that allows me to care for pets both during school semesters and breaks. I’m committed to providing mindful, loving care whether it’s a quick visit between classes or longer stays during holidays. Your pets will receive consistent attention and companionship no matter the time of year! When pet sitting in your home, I prioritize safety, trust, and a calm environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely to minimize stress and keep them comfortable. I’m careful to secure doors and gates, avoid hazards, and monitor their behavior to ensure they’re happy and healthy.

About: I have been passionate about animal care since a young age, with extensive hands-on experience managing the needs of multiple pets simultaneously. Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of the unique care each animal requires. My 3years of experience working at the Humane Society further honed my skills in providing specialized care for pets with specific health needs and routines. Having successfully balanced the care of my own three pets, and pet sitting for friends and family numerous times, I am highly attuned to the demands of pet care, even in the busiest of schedules. I always prioritize the well-being of the animals I care for, ensuring they receive consistent attention, exercise, and love. I take pride in preparing home-cooked meals for pets and have a keen understanding of how to cater to their dietary needs. Additionally, I am familiar with various walking trails and off ample space for pets to explore and play in a safe, enriching environment. Above all, my commitment to providing individualized care ensures that your pet will feel at ease and loved while in my care. As I currently do not have any pets of my own, my schedule is highly flexible and can accommodate multiple pet-sitting visits throughout the day. Given proper notice, I can ensure that your pet receives the attention and care they need, with ample time to visit and attend to their needs. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring they receive the utmost love, attention, and respect. I understand that some pets may take time to warm up to a new person, and I am committed to being patient and respectful throughout the process. I recognize that new environments or strangers can make pets feel nervous, so I take extra care to build trust, providing a calm and safe space for them to feel comfortable. I’ve developed a strong ability to read animals and understand their needs, knowing when they need a little extra space or when they’re ready to relax and enjoy some affection. Whether it’s through gentle interaction, engaging in activities they enjoy, or providing them with a sense of routine, I ensure that their emotional and physical needs are met with attention and care. I am always mindful of their comfort, and I take the time to understand their unique personality and preferences. My approach combines patience, respect, and a deep commitment to providing the best possible care, whether at my home or in your pet’s familiar surroundings.

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Morning Star

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 590 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Morning Star. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Morning Star. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
