About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years and understand that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone who will treat your pet with the same love and care you do. I have experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering routines, and providing lots of attention and companionship. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. Caring for my own dog has also taught me patience, consistency, and how to recognize when a dog needs extra space or a calmer approach. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. My availability is flexible, and I’m happy to accommodate your pup’s preferred walking times, whether they need morning exercise, midday breaks, or evening strolls. As a dog mom, I know how important it is to trust someone with your pup. I provide patient, attentive walks focused on safety and happiness.

Shelby feels like family. I asked her to stop by so I could introduce her to Lala and walk her through the routine. She was on time, and she made me feel very comfortable. She was at ease with Lala, who is almost blind, and somewhat stand offish. She is definitely, a keeper!

He watched our dog while we were out of town for four days and he was reliable and communicated with us during each visit. He sent photos of our pup on each visit and also fed and filled his water bowl. We will definitely be booking him again in the future. Thank you, Cedric.

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and am the proud dog mom of my own Husky–Goldendoodle, Nagi. Caring for her has given me experience with daily walks, exercise, feeding, enrichment, grooming, and understanding different dog personalities and needs. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets, and I know how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and consistent routine while owners are away. In my professional career, I manage programs for the State of California, so being dependable, organized, and communicating clearly comes naturally to me. I bring that same level of responsibility and care to every pet I look after. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while giving owners complete peace of mind. I’m available for morning, afternoon, evenings, weekend, and holiday pet care. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting depending on my schedule. I always keep my calendar updated and only accept bookings that allow me to give your pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Communication is very important to me, and I’ll send regular photo updates throughout each visit. I know pets feel happiest when they can stay in their own familiar environment. I carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I’ll respect your home as if it were my own and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I provide frequent photo and video updates so you can travel with peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and reliable hands.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was around 10 years old, starting with my own family dogs and being responsible for feeding them, letting them out, playing with them, and making sure they were taken care of while I was home. As I got older, I started pet sitting for friends and family and eventually for people I didn’t know personally as well. I’ve also helped my friend Jade with her pet-sitting clients and have watched pets for a previous manager. I’m comfortable with walks, feeding, playtime, check-ins, overnight care, and following each pet’s individual routine. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pets, and I’ll always treat them with the same love and attention I give my own. I typically work morning shifts and am usually done with work by 12pm at the latest, which gives me plenty of availability throughout the afternoon and evening for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and overnight care. My schedule can vary week to week, but I’m happy to work with you to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need. I know how important it is to trust someone with both your pets and your home. I’ll always follow your pet’s normal routine and any specific instructions you leave for me, including feeding, walks, medications, crate routines, and any household rules. I want your pet to feel as safe and comfortable as possible while you’re away, and I’ll make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and love.

About: I’ve been around pets my entire life, and I truly believe they’re one of the best parts of the world. I was a dog owner for over 10 years, and after losing my sweet girl to cancer, I really missed having furry friends around. That experience reminded me just how much joy and companionship pets bring into our lives. From dogs and cats to fish and hamsters, caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I’m a family guy with a comfortable home and a safe, secure environment where your pet can feel relaxed, loved, and right at home. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your furry family member with someone else. My goal is to give you peace of mind while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. Whether your companion needs walks, drop-in visits, sitting, boarding, or simply some extra love and attention, I’m happy to help. I’ll treat your pet like part of my own family and make their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities. I look forward to meeting you and your four-legged family member! 🐾❤️ I work part-time in the evenings and am available during the day to spend time with and care for your pets. While I’m at work, my wife and daughter are home and will be there to care for them. Your pets will always have someone at home with them, so they won’t be left alone. You can have peace of mind knowing your pets will receive care, attention, and companionship around the clock. I have a good-sized, secure backyard where dogs can safely enjoy some outdoor time, as well as a public walking path right behind my house for those who enjoy stretching their legs and getting some exercise. I love taking dogs for walks—it’s a great way for them to get fresh air, exercise, and enrichment while keeping them happy and comfortable. I always make sure pets are supervised, cared for, and treated like part of the family while they’re in my home.

About: I’ve always loved animals, and I found that caring for other people’s beloved pets brings me lots of joy. I grew up caring for neighbors’ pets that included goats, ducks, dogs, cats, ponies and more. A passion of mine is volunteering at animal shelters to provide care to animals in need. I also have a degree in biology, so I have scientific background to support my love of animals. My combination of educational background and natural love for animals makes me a excellent choice when looking for pet care. I know how precious my pets are to me, and I want to provide the kind of care I would expect for my own pets to other owners out there. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so you can rest easy if I am caring for your fur-babies. I have extensive experience with special needs dogs in particular. My own dog has severe epilepsy, so I am very familiar with proper medication administration. I take additional care and pride in looking after animals with medical needs. I understand the extra stress of finding care for a pet in that situation, and am happy to provide that service. I work remotely from home, so I am completely available for pet care. I have my own dog and 2 cats, though I can be flexible with my own animals’ schedule when it comes to sitting and boarding for others, thanks to my husband. I’m happy to discuss specifics to see what might work best for you. I primarily focus on drop in visits and walks, as I have a high energy dog and 2 cats at home. I also find that most pets are more comfortable and less stressed in their own homes. However, I can discuss boarding and housesitting on a case-by-case basis if that is something you are interested in.

About: While I specialize in cat sitting and absolutely adore caring for feline companions, I'm also happy to help with dog sitting for friendly, WELL-TRAINED SMALL PUPS. As a cat sitter first and foremost, I only accept ONE dog PER booking to ensure I can provide the best possible care and attention. Though I'm newer to dog care, I'm patient, attentive, and eager to provide a safe, calm environment for dogs who are easygoing and enjoy a relaxed routine. I'm comfortable following detailed care instructions and making sure your pup feels comfortable and cared for while you're away. My heart is with cats, but I'm always happy to give well-mannered dogs the love and attention they deserve too! I'm currently open and have a flexible schedule, so I'm happy to work around your pet's unique needs whether it's regular visits or last-minute plans. Your pet's comfort and routine always come first. Because I may be caring for other pets throughout the day, I can't always guarantee an exact visit time. If your requested time is already booked, I'll reach out as soon as possible to see if there's a nearby time that works for you. If your pet needs medication or has a strict schedule, please let me know in your booking request so I can make sure I can accommodate their needs. I do require an in-person meet and greet before confirming any new booking. This helps ensure your pet feels comfortable and we're a great fit! About: Hi! I'm Susi, and my goal is to make your time away as stress free as possible, for both you and your pets. My experience comes from being a lifelong dog owner and understanding firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care. I know that every dog has their own routine, comfort level, and quirks that make them who they are. That’s why I focus on providing personalized care for one family at a time, creating a calm and comfortable environment where your pet can feel safe and loved. I know how important trust is when leaving your pet with someone new, so I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, giving you peace of mind while you're away. I'll follow your instructions carefully, from feeding schedules and medications to favorite toys and bedtime routines, so your pet experiences as little disruption as possible. When your pet stays with me, they'll receive the same love, patience, and care I'd want for my own family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine, and I’ve structured my schedule so every pet in my care receives consistent attention, companionship, and supervision. I’m home everyday of the week and have plenty of time for walks, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and maintaining your pet’s normal routine. I attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm and 6pm-9pm, but someone is always home, so your pet will never be left alone for long periods. Because I only care for one family’s pets at a time, I’m able to give them focused, personalized care instead of dividing my attention between multiple bookings. My goal is to keep their routine as familiar and stress free as possible so they feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. In my home, I provide a calm, comfortable environment where pets can settle in and feel like part of the family. I have a large, fully fenced yard for supervised potty breaks, playtime, and outdoor enrichment, along with a quiet dog park just a few blocks away that is usually empty. I only use the park when it is appropriate for the individual dog and with the owner’s permission. I also have a dog (Jayda) of my own who is friendly, calm, and respectful of other dogs’ boundaries. I always prioritize safe introductions and closely monitor interactions so every pet feels comfortable. If a visiting dog is not comfortable around other dogs, my home has separate rooms and spaces where pets can be safely kept apart whenever necessary. Their comfort and safety always come first. Because I care for one family at a time, I can give each pet personalized attention and follow their usual feeding, walking, medication, playtime, and bedtime routines as closely as possible. For care in a client’s home, I respect both the pet’s routine and the home itself. During drop-ins or house sitting, I provide fresh food and water, potty breaks, litter box or yard cleanup, medication when needed, playtime, affection, and any other care instructions provided. For walks, I focus on safety, exercise, and letting each dog move at a pace that suits their age, energy level, and comfort. No matter the service, I send regular photo and message updates so owners can feel confident knowing their pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving attentive care.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
