About: I’ve always loved animals, and I found that caring for other people’s beloved pets brings me lots of joy. I grew up caring for neighbors’ pets that included goats, ducks, dogs, cats, ponies and more. A passion of mine is volunteering at animal shelters to provide care to animals in need. I also have a degree in biology, so I have scientific background to support my love of animals. My combination of educational background and natural love for animals makes me a excellent choice when looking for pet care. I know how precious my pets are to me, and I want to provide the kind of care I would expect for my own pets to other owners out there. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so you can rest easy if I am caring for your fur-babies. I have extensive experience with special needs dogs in particular. My own dog has severe epilepsy, so I am very familiar with proper medication administration. I take additional care and pride in looking after animals with medical needs. I understand the extra stress of finding care for a pet in that situation, and am happy to provide that service. I work remotely from home, so I am completely available for pet care. I have my own dog and 2 cats, though I can be flexible with my own animals’ schedule when it comes to sitting and boarding for others, thanks to my husband. I’m happy to discuss specifics to see what might work best for you. I primarily focus on drop in visits and walks, as I have a high energy dog and 2 cats at home. I also find that most pets are more comfortable and less stressed in their own homes. About: I grew up on a farm, animals galore. I was always with the animals, they are incredible companions, as well as teachers. I have been on the birthing end of Dogs, Birds, Fish, Turtles Horses, Cows and sheep. Unfortunately I have been on the departure side as well. My love of animals is only second to my love of Life. When your pets are under my care, rest assured that I will act as an extension of you. I also have a very extensive medical education, no not vetinary, but this is the one time I am glad they can't talk. People give way to much information, where as animal will give you indications as to the possible problems. It has been my experience that diet is usually the culprit, but not always. Any other critters would be treated according to there familial traits.

For overnight stays, I do my best to keep feeding, medications, walks, and bedtime routines as close to normal as possible. Safety is always my first priority. Before opening doors or gates, I make sure pets are safely secured, and I always double-check that collars, harnesses, leashes, and other gear fit properly before leaving the home. I follow household and care instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walking precautions, behavioral triggers, enclosure care, and any special routines your pet may have. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or anything else that may be important to communicate to you. I currently only provide care in my clients’ homes, which also allows pets to stay in the environment and routine they already know.
