Brittany is amazing! For one, she is very flexible and has been a life saver with squeezing in last minute walks for my dog, Frosty 🐾 but most importantly I can tell Frosty genuinely has a great time with Brittany. Nothing better than receiving photo updates of Frosty and seeing that he is happy and comfortable around Brittany 😊

He watched our dog while we were out of town for four days and he was reliable and communicated with us during each visit. He sent photos of our pup on each visit and also fed and filled his water bowl. We will definitely be booking him again in the future. Thank you, Cedric.

About: I’ve always loved animals, and I found that caring for other people’s beloved pets brings me lots of joy. I grew up caring for neighbors’ pets that included goats, ducks, dogs, cats, ponies and more. A passion of mine is volunteering at animal shelters to provide care to animals in need. I also have a degree in biology, so I have scientific background to support my love of animals. My combination of educational background and natural love for animals makes me a excellent choice when looking for pet care. I know how precious my pets are to me, and I want to provide the kind of care I would expect for my own pets to other owners out there. I know how stressful it can be leaving your pet with someone else, so you can rest easy if I am caring for your fur-babies. I have extensive experience with special needs dogs in particular. My own dog has severe epilepsy, so I am very familiar with proper medication administration. I take additional care and pride in looking after animals with medical needs. I understand the extra stress of finding care for a pet in that situation, and am happy to provide that service. I work remotely from home, so I am completely available for pet care. I have my own dog and 2 cats, though I can be flexible with my own animals’ schedule when it comes to sitting and boarding for others, thanks to my husband. I’m happy to discuss specifics to see what might work best for you. I primarily focus on drop in visits and walks, as I have a high energy dog and 2 cats at home. I also find that most pets are more comfortable and less stressed in their own homes. However, I can discuss boarding and housesitting on a case-by-case basis if that is something you are interested in.

About: I’ve been a lifelong dog lover and am the proud dog mom of my own Husky–Goldendoodle, Nagi. Caring for her has given me experience with daily walks, exercise, feeding, enrichment, grooming, and understanding different dog personalities and needs. Friends and family have trusted me to care for their pets, and I know how important it is to provide a safe, loving, and consistent routine while owners are away. In my professional career, I manage programs for the State of California, so being dependable, organized, and communicating clearly comes naturally to me. I bring that same level of responsibility and care to every pet I look after. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while giving owners complete peace of mind. I’m available for morning, afternoon, evenings, weekend, and holiday pet care. I’m happy to provide walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting depending on my schedule. I always keep my calendar updated and only accept bookings that allow me to give your pet the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. Communication is very important to me, and I’ll send regular photo updates throughout each visit. I know pets feel happiest when they can stay in their own familiar environment. I carefully follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions. I’ll respect your home as if it were my own and make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I provide frequent photo and video updates so you can travel with peace of mind, knowing your furry family member is in caring and reliable hands.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for years and understand that every dog has their own unique personality and needs. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone who will treat your pet with the same love and care you do. I have experience with daily walks, feeding, playtime, administering routines, and providing lots of attention and companionship. I’m comfortable following detailed care instructions and keeping pet parents updated with photos and messages throughout each visit. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. My availability is flexible, and I’m happy to accommodate your pup’s preferred walking times, whether they need morning exercise, midday breaks, or evening strolls. Shelby feels like family. I asked her to stop by so I could introduce her to Lala and walk her through the routine. She was on time, and she made me feel very comfortable. She was at ease with Lala, who is almost blind, and somewhat stand offish. She is definitely, a keeper!

About: I grew up on a farm, animals galore. I was always with the animals, they are incredible companions, as well as teachers. I have been on the birthing end of Dogs, Birds, Fish, Turtles Horses, Cows and sheep. Unfortunately I have been on the departure side as well. My love of animals is only second to my love of Life. When your pets are under my care, rest assured that I will act as an extension of you. I also have a very extensive medical education, no not vetinary, but this is the one time I am glad they can't talk. People give way to much information, where as animal will give you indications as to the possible problems. It has been my experience that diet is usually the culprit, but not always. Thanks from one Animal Lover to their Owners. half of the question is blocked so I am not sure what I am describing? i think its asking how does pet care fit into my schedule. it's part of the job. make sure all exits are secure, and that water and food are available, for cats, I would check their box for clumps. Any other critters would be treated according to there familial traits.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I started walking. I currently have a beautiful bengal named nova and a tiny chihuahua named lucky. I used to dog sit and help out with my neighbors senior dog as well. I have looked after my friend’s animals for years. All dogs are puppies to me no matter the size or age! I currently am a stay at home mom looking for work to make a little money doing something I love and that means spending time with animals! I am willing to be flexible and extend what hours I am available if discussed ahead of time. I would love to do walks and enjoy your fur babies to help people. I have always been very sure to make sure all gates/fences are closed, all doors are closed, pets are accounted for and making sure meds are dispersed correctly. Your pets are safe with me.

About: I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc. I believe animals come into our lives to make it better and to give us unconditional love. I have trained all my puppies as well as cared for my parents elderly Bullmastiff. I am very sensitive to the needs of pets and can feel when something is wrong. About: What sets me apart from other dog sitters is my deep understanding of dog behavior and my genuine passion for creating a safe, fun, and loving environment for every pup I care for. I don’t just “watch” dogs—I engage with them through structured play, enrichment activities, and tailored routines based on their needs and personalities. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine as a stay-at-home mom. I’m already used to maintaining a structured, nurturing environment, and that translates perfectly to caring for pets. I’m home throughout the day, so I can provide consistent attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, my focus is always on creating a safe, loving, and stress-free environment.

About: After a few years focused on other animal care work, I’m happy to be actively pet sitting again. I recently moved back to Lincoln, and I will begin offering pet care services again beginning August 2026. In addition to years of pet sitting and dog walking, I have worked professionally in many animal care settings, including veterinary, sanctuary, boarding, and rescue for the last seven years. These settings have taught me the importance of prioritizing safety, observation, consistency, and following detailed care protocols accurately. I have years of experience with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs and understand that trust cannot be rushed. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal routine, use their preferred treats or familiar cues, avoid known triggers, and give them the space or extra reassurance they need to feel comfortable. I also have a special interest in exotic and multi species pet care. I personally have two cats and a leopard gecko and have hands on experience and good foundational husbandry knowledge with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, fish, and small animals. I’m open to caring for many species, and willing to learn any of their specific routine and husbandry requirements beforehand. One of my biggest priorities is following instructions carefully and accurately. I know small details can make a big difference, especially with medications, feeding routines, behavioral needs, enclosure care, or pets with specific safety precautions. I also understand how stressful it can be to leave your animals in someone else’s care. I provide regular photo updates and clear communication so you know how your pets are doing while you’re away. I work full time in animal care on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Saturdays. On those days, I’m available after work for walks, drop in visits, and overnight stays. I have more flexibility on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays and can often accommodate daytime care on those days as well. I plan my Rover bookings carefully so I can give each pet the time and attention they need. I’m happy to discuss your pet’s normal routine ahead of time and make sure their care schedule is something I can reliably accommodate. For overnight stays, I do my best to keep feeding, medications, walks, and bedtime routines as close to normal as possible. Safety is always my first priority. Before opening doors or gates, I make sure pets are safely secured, and I always double-check that collars, harnesses, leashes, and other gear fit properly before leaving the home. I follow household and care instructions closely, including feeding, medications, walking precautions, behavioral triggers, enclosure care, and any special routines your pet may have. I also pay close attention to changes in behavior, appetite, mobility, bathroom habits, or anything else that may be important to communicate to you. I currently only provide care in my clients’ homes, which also allows pets to stay in the environment and routine they already know.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Joes Landing. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Joes Landing.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
