“Tabutha was wonderful with my animals and my home while I was gone. I came back to happy relaxed dogs and alpacas and a clean, tidy house. My foster dog has very high anxiety and she bonded with Tabutha in just a day or so. I will definitely ask Tabutha to house sit for me again.”

“This was my first time hiring Becky for my two senior dogs. I was nervous because one of my dogs gets special food and medications. She is also pretty sensitive and emotional, so when we go away, she is sometimes very depressed. Becky was able to win both dogs over quickly and everything went great! Communication was stellar with messages and photos a couple times per day. That was much appreciated. 😍 Becky was respectful and easy to work with. She stayed at our house during the days we were gone and everything was very tidy and clean when we returned. I was really relieved and happy that our first time with this sitter worked out. We will use Becky again for sure!!😊”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since my brother got a puppy himself and one of my best friends got a husky pup! I would dog sit for them all the time so I quickly learned what a dog needs and how to care for them! Im currently a chiropractic student at Parker University so I have plenty of time to care for your dog most weekdays and weekends since my class schedule can be flexible! I am not able to provide care in my own home because my landlord does not allow pets. However, im more than willing to come to your house and follow the instructions you would like for me to follow!
About: I've been carrying for animals since I was a small child, I've volunteered to do animal rescue, and vet assistant. Let me show your pets some love. My days allow me to help others care for there animals, while at work, out of town or on Vacation. So let me help you. My pets are the boss of our home, i walk them at least one of them daily. The little ones are picky, we will go to the park or swimming, take rides and just enjoy living. We are only on this earth till we are gone. Live life to the fullest.
“Brad is the 🐐. Wookie is so happy when he’s here, making our travels way less stressful. She gets tons of exercise and we get tons of pics, best of both worlds! He also always leaves our house better than I did - so not only a great dog sitter..but house sitter too!”

“Great person to watch our dogs. Erica exceeded our expectations. We received so many much appreciated pictures and updates. She communicated with us every day and many times throughout the day. Just a wonderful person. We will defenitely be reaching out to her for our future time away from our babies.”

“All good with Ariana! The puppies Chidi and Ellie had a great time playing with Ariana's puppies, everything was in good order when I returned, no complaints from the puppies! Thank you!”

“We had a good experience with Madisyn! The house was left spotless and communication throughout the stay was great — she sent updates, pictures and was easy to reach. Our one note is that she was out quite late one evening, which we weren't expecting. I'd recommend discussing schedules and expectations upfront, as she is a popular sitter with other jobs. I would still consider booking again, as we discussed that issue and she was very responsive. Thanks, Madisyn!”

About: Hello! We are Cole and Kayla, homeowners in the Lake Limerick area of Shelton. We are conveniently located on your commute between Hwy 101 and Hwy 3. What sets us apart from other sitters is our hands-on experience with a wide range of animals and a deep understanding of what it takes to care for dogs with high energy and specialized needs. We have raised and trained high-energy hunting dogs, which has given us the skills to handle active breeds that require both physical and mental stimulation. We are very familiar with the importance of consistency, exercise, and patience when it comes to training and caring for these types of dogs. In addition to dogs, We have also taken care of livestock, so we are no strangers to early mornings, structured routines, and being attentive to animal behavior and health. Currently, we are raising a 1-year-old Weimaraner, which has only deepened our appreciation for the energy, intelligence, and quirks that come with certain breeds. We understand how to provide the right balance of discipline and affection, and know how important it is to create a safe, stimulating environment where pets feel secure and loved. Whether it's a playful puppy or a senior dog who needs a little extra TLC, we are confident in our ability to provide personalized, attentive care that fits each pet’s unique personality and needs. We both work full time but often have a lot of weekends/holidays available as well as most evenings after 4:00 PM. We also could be available other days potentially depending on the time of year and work schedules. Whether we’re caring for pets in our own home or in a client’s, we approach every situation with the same level of respect, responsibility, and love. We treat each home as if it were our own—clean, safe, and respectful of the space—and every animal in our care as if they were a member of our family. In our home, pets have plenty of room to relax, play, and feel comfortable. We allow frequent potty breaks and are happy to take dogs on walks as needed to help them get their energy out and enjoy some fresh air. If a pet is crate-trained or requires crating at certain times, we’re more than capable of accommodating that in a way that keeps them calm and secure. When caring for pets in a client’s home, we maintain their routines as closely as possible, from feeding and medication schedules to walks, playtime, and quiet time. We make sure they feel safe and loved while their family is away, and we treat the client’s home with the same care and consideration we’d expect in return. No matter the setting, our goal is always to provide a stress-free, comfortable, and loving environment where pets feel truly cared for.
“Quincy is amazing with animals. She is so kind and understands and appreciates all of their personalities. I cannot recommend Quincy highly enough, and I am so grateful that she was able to house and pet sit for us during a very stressful time.”
About: I grew up on a farm with lots of different animals, I also have house sat for friends and neighbors over the years. Love dogs and Cats! I work full time so I'm only available after 5:15 p.m. during the week and weekends. I don't do a lot out side of work. I would do day care and house sitting at the clients home. I can pass a background check and have house sat for friends and neighbors over the years.
About: As an experienced dog sitter, I go beyond basic care by truly understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. I have a natural ability to read their body language and adapt to their moods, ensuring they feel comfortable, happy, and secure while you’re away. Whether it’s administering medications, following specific dietary plans, or providing enriching playtime and walks, I tailor my approach to each dog’s routine. My calm and attentive demeanor helps even the most anxious dogs feel at ease, and I maintain clear communication with pet owners for peace of mind. Having cared for my own senior Pomeranian, Zeus, until he was 14, I am particularly attuned to the special needs of older dogs, including administering medications and adjusting routines for their comfort. I currently have an year and a half year old Yellow Labrador Retriever named cooper, so well experienced with puppies I’m currently home full-time, so I have a very flexible schedule and can give your pets lots of attention throughout the day. Whether your dog needs frequent potty breaks, long walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medication, or just extra cuddles and companionship, I’m able to be there consistently. I love getting outside for walks and making sure dogs stay mentally and physically happy while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal like they’re my own and take the time to learn their routine, personality, and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages, energy levels, and temperaments, including senior dogs and puppies. I always keep a close eye during walks, potty breaks, feeding, and playtime to make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in a calm environment.

FAQs for House Sitting - Bayshore
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 1,667 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Bayshore. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Bayshore walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Bayshore maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Bayshore choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Bayshore. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
