“Katherine was able to book with us last minute due to a family emergency and was willing to meet the dogs within 24 hours of our booking. She handled our dogs well (they jump a lot with new people) and took tons of cute pictures. She offered to help with taking out our trash while we were out of town and had great overall communication with us. We would definitely rebook with her!”

“(Written from the perspective of Margot, a female black lab.) Carrie was a nice lady. From the minute she first came by to meet me, she knew right where to scratch and rub. I can tell she really knows how to deal with us doggos. She fed me dinner (always so yummy!) and took me out on a walk -- which was probably all about looking for squirrels, but it gave me a chance to pee and do my business. I don't know why my human has to go away sometimes, but when he does, I hope I'll keep on getting visits from Carrie! I'll bet she'll take great care of me when I have to board overnight too!”
“Beth was great with my cat Winry. Normally Winry hides when someone else is checking on her, but Beth managed to get her to come in just 2 days. She communicated well and did an excellent job taking care of things”

“Chelsea took a great care of our cat while we were on a trip. She also shared lots of photos of our cat during the drop in visits, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend Chelsea!”

“Shadae was very communicative and attentive to mine and Odessa’s needs. I could feel the love she has for her own pets carry over into her care for Odessa. She went the extra mile to ensure Odessa was comfortable. This was the longest I had been away from my pup and I could NOT have asked for a better person to watch over her. 1000/10”
“gabby did an amazing job with my kitten bean! she is so trustworthy and made sure to make bean feel comfortable and happy while i was gone! she made sure to do everything that I asked her to do perfectly and was also the sweetest person ever. I couldn’t recommend her enough!”

“Mariana did a great job caring for Cosmo - taking him out for walks and to do his business. She also made sure he got his meds and followed up and got our house key back to us in a timely fashion.”

“Kara did a great job. She followed all the instructions we left her, gave us thorough updates of each visit and went above and beyond putting several heavy packages we had delivered into the garage. She also sent us lots of pictures which we loved!”

“The pictures she sent were great and showed Ziti having a wonderful time, she got some porch hangout sessions and tunnel play! Allison is very kind and has great communication. Thanks for taking care of my angel!”

About: I have had animals all of my life and have cared for them immensely. My family and friends say I have a special way with animals. I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for almost 2 years and got lots of experience caring for dogs there as well as opportunities to sit outside of it which has become a huge part of my life. I have knowledge and experience on all sorts of problems that may arise in both cats and dogs including cpr. I am currently a full-time purdue student who takes most classes online so I have plenty of time to care for your fur baby! I love going on walks so you can guarantee your fur baby will get some long peaceful and smellful walks! So far I have done both in-home and in my home. I make sure to have a specific wake up sleep schedule so my animals and the ones I have watched have a routine and care. As I mentioned before I love walks… so walks are guaranteed! In the clients home I make sure to provide the same level of care and attention to the pet as I would my own or in my own home!

“Cheryl was great with our cat when we left town! Awesome communication and pictures. She even fed our fish with no hesitation. She communicated that our cat got sick and was so caring 💗”

About: I have had pets all my life; I am the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family. I’ve even stayed with some fur babies for the week at a customer’s house who frequented the greenhouse i worked at. I also rescued a cuban tree frog from a tropical plant truck shipment from Florida- she has been with me for 3 years now. I also have a Chameleon who just turned 2! My three cats keep me busy and on my toes. I’ve had many dogs and would love to have one but it wouldn’t be ideal for my living situation. I am eager to have the opportunity to meet more people and pets! 😁 I would be available throughout the weekdays, i get off my job around 5:30 and would be available to travel and stay for a few hours in the evening; I am open to staying the night if needed. I sometimes work Saturday morning till noon but am open the rest of the weekend unless i have prior plans made. I am capable of performing any pet duties needed with love. Caring for animals is a passion of mine and I am excited to care for yours!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
