“I needed a sitter on short notice after a cancellation on a holiday weekend with a flight coming up in 4 hours. Kelly accommodated me under a set of complicated circumstances and was wonderful. The picture updates and her timely visits gave me a great deal of relief and I was able to enjoy my vacation. My skittish pets warmed to her and she was very responsive. GREAT SITTER.”
About: We love our dog but we aren’t crazy dog people. Our home is clean. We have a friendly husky and a large fenced yard. We don’t leave for longer than 2 hours when we have a dog over and generally take 1 guest dog at a time. We work from home and only watch when we can be here every 2 hours. We don’t go out for more than 2 hours with a dog staying. I have a big fenced yard and a friendly husky that will keep your pet entertained. We also have a great dog walking neighborhood and path.
“Amazing! Our doggies loved him. He took extra care and truly altered his schedule to surround our dogs at the center of it. Consistently responsive, and let us know of every single detail which was most appreciative. Excited to book him again!”

About: Hi, I’m Gal! I’ve been caring for and loving dogs my whole life. With a calm, nurturing energy and years of hands-on experience, I treat every pup like my own family. Whether it’s a playful stroll or a gentle walk for an older dog, I’m here to provide comfort, reliability, and lots of love. I am an undergraduate student in psychology and have a lighter schedule this semester, so I’ll be happy to fill some of my extra time up with pet care! I care for pets in their own home where they feel safest and most comfortable. I follow your routine closely and provide gentle, loving attention every step of the way.
About: a dog owner myself and living in an area surrounded by owners who I’ve helped over the years to take care either walk, stay over night, or just a cuddle buddy, I’ve worked from puppies all the way to senior puppies I work full time but my hours vary each day so I know what days work better and will be able to help anyone whenever requests assistance for their loving furry friend my dog is trained off leash, but I don’t have a fenced backyard I love at a dead end so I have a lot of space to run around if need but a big area in neighborhood for walks to the park or just in town.
About: Hi there! My name is Diana, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up around animals—long before I was even born, my family always had pets. From cats and dogs to farm animals like chickens, cows, and pigs, I was raised surrounded by animals of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Being around them taught me early on how special the bond between people and their pets can be. When my family relocated to New Jersey when I was 7 years old, we adopted a sweet beagle named Sparky. He was a beloved member of our family for 15 wonderful years before he passed away from old age. Caring for Sparky throughout his life showed me how much love, patience, and attention pets deserve at every stage of their lives. I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet! Please feel free to reach out with any questions—I look forward to helping care for your furry family member. I’m reliable, dependable, and attentive to detail. I’m currently taking a gap semester from my master’s program, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I’m available throughout the week for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s specific needs and schedule. Since my family and I foster cats, we work hard to maintain a calm and consistent routine for them while they adjust to our home. For that reason, I’m unfortunately unable to board pets in my home. However, I’m more than happy to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home through drop-in visits, where they can stay relaxed in their familiar environment.
About: I am a responsible, active and caring dog lover. I live in beautiful Basking Ridge with my wife and our two male Golden’s, Dunkin and Blue. Walks will always be fun, safe, and exciting. My wife and I are both fun, energetic, young professionals who love animals, I work from home full time and decided to restart my Rover account to get out of the house more and help out other dog owners! I grew up with a dog who was a diabetic, had a heart murmur and arthritis so I have a lot of experience giving medication of any type including insulin with a syringe. Currently, my family has a dog named Baxter who lives back in NJ with my parents. I worked from home when he was a puppy so I have experience with training and a lot of messy cleanups! I will do everything to make sure your pup is comfortable and happy in my home. Air conditioning will be on all day (during the summer), a lot of playtime and belly rubs. Also, you can expect daily pictures/videos to ensure you that your dog is being cared for properly (and maybe a bit spoilt!) I have a very flexible work schedule and can come and go as I please. Having had to deal with issues finding reliable dog care for our two dogs when we were both in the office, I wanted to offer my services to help other professionals or those who need a long term trustworthy and reliable dog lover! I’ve had to find last minute help in the past multiple times for our two boys and it always gives me so much anxiety. Whatever you need from me to feel comfortable before booking please just let me know.
About: I recently was a manager at an interactive aquarium and petting zoo. I’ve also had experience with multiple different types of animals for 10 plus years. I love being outdoors so your furry friend and I will get along great! I’m currently searching for a part time job so I have ample time for all your furry friend’s needs. I like to be physically active and go on walks daily so I would enjoy having a companion to go with. I am available for pet sitting in your home, as well as daily dog walks. My skills include feeding, medications, bathing and grooming, excersizing, and playing. I am also willing to help with any additional services you may require.
About: Hello pet parents! My name is Val. I have been working with pets since I was 16 years old. I started in a dog/cat boarding facility and now I’m a part time Vet Tech at a pet hospital . I have lots of experience with feeding schedules, long and safe walks, bathing, trimming nails, and giving lots and lots of love. I’m also CPR certified to be prepared if the unexpected happens. I will take care of your furry friends as if they were my own 🫶🏻 I’m currently working part-time in a pet hospital. Usually I’m there 2-3 days a week, which usually change every week. I have plenty of days off where I can take care of your babies. I’m pretty sure I can accommodate myself to your schedule to make everything easier for your pets. I will give lots of pets to your pawsome babies. I can also bathe them if wanted. And I will give them lots and lots of love.
About: I have had my dog Joey for 10 years. I also have another dog named Bella who is 3 years old. I used to have a Doberman named Crosby. Dog walks or visits are better for my day. I already have dogs at home, and they do not do well when other dogs are present. House sitting would not be a good option for me for now. Dogs are sweet innocent animals who take care of their owners, but also need some taking care of as well. I understand it is hard for owners to not be there for their pets, so I would love to ensure them that they’re pet is not alone and being well taken care of.
About: My name is Jared and I am 36 years old. I have grown up with dogs all of my life. Ever since I was born we have had four or more dogs as part of the family at any given time! I adopted my dog Mia seven years ago and she has been my best friend ever since. I rescued my Staffordshire Bull Terrier because she is deaf and suffers from seizures. I have learned many new ways of training dogs working with Mia!!!! I love taking care of her as she has brought so much positivity into my life. I also have Miley and Blazer 2 retrievers for the past 5 years. I love all dogs and can’t wait to meet your dog! I’m available 7 days a week and look forward to working with new puppies! I am with my dogs most of the day and spend most of my time home. If I’m not home my Wife who works from home is also with them. I love caring for all types of dogs, my belief is that all animals deserve special attention and caring for just like us humans do.
“We had a fantastic experience with Nicole! This was our first time leaving our cat while we were away, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to look after her. She was punctual, very communicative throughout our trip, and clearly took great care of our cat—she seemed happy, relaxed, and well looked after when we got home. We would absolutely recommend her and will definitely be reaching out again for future trips!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for several years and have experience with pets of all sizes and ages. I regularly dog-sit, doing mostly overnight stays, and always make sure pets feel comfortable, safe, and loved while their owners are away. I’m happy to follow specific routines, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or medications. I treat and love every pet like my own and always keep owners updated for peace of mind. I’m currently in school so weekdays 9-3 I am unavailable for drop ins at those times. However I do overnight boarding in the clients home and can do breakfast, a check in/walk at 4, and be there for dinner and night time as well. I have no problem staying over for extended periods and am also flexible on the weekends! In my client’s home, I make sure to follow all routines exactly, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any specific instructions. I’m very respectful of both your home and your pet’s space, and I always keep things clean and secure. I’m attentive, reliable, and make sure pets are never left alone for long periods. I also provide regular updates so you can feel completely at ease while you’re away.
Basking Ridge dog parents share their Rover experiences
Cassidy stopped by to let our pups out in the day and spend a little time with them. She responded quickly on short notice and accommodated a few last minute schedule changes without any problems. Our pups looked happy to see her in the pictures she sent and we had peace of mind! We would definitely recommend Cassidy!
Vanessa and Jeremy were wonderful and so caring! I think my dogs had more fun with them than they do with me! My dogs are not the easiest to take care of, especially the 16 yr old, but Vanessa and Jeremy handled it all and sent pictures and reports that made me feel at ease. I am so grateful for how caring and conscientious they were.
