About: We love our dog but we aren’t crazy dog people. Our home is clean. We have a friendly husky and a large fenced yard. We don’t leave for longer than 2 hours when we have a dog over and generally take 1 guest dog at a time. We work from home and only watch when we can be here every 2 hours. We don’t go out for more than 2 hours with a dog staying. I have a big fenced yard and a friendly husky that will keep your pet entertained. We also have a great dog walking neighborhood and path.
About: a dog owner myself and living in an area surrounded by owners who I’ve helped over the years to take care either walk, stay over night, or just a cuddle buddy, I’ve worked from puppies all the way to senior puppies I work full time but my hours vary each day so I know what days work better and will be able to help anyone whenever requests assistance for their loving furry friend my dog is trained off leash, but I don’t have a fenced backyard I love at a dead end so I have a lot of space to run around if need but a big area in neighborhood for walks to the park or just in town.

“Diana was excellent! She cared for cooper as if he was her own. I never had left cooper before and Diana eased my mind and made this a incredibly positive experience”

About: I’ve spent the last 6 years caring for dogs and cats for families in my neighborhood, including puppies, high‑energy dogs, and seniors who need a gentler pace. I regularly do dog walking, drop‑in visits, and house sitting, and I follow each pet’s routine closely—feeding, medications, walks, and playtime. I treat every animal like my own, send lots of photo updates, and make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their people are away. I’m a college student, so my availability is best during school breaks and holidays. When I’m home in New Jersey, I’m generally free on both weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to work around your travel plans. I keep my calendar up to date and respond quickly so we can find times that fit your schedule. When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I stick closely to the routines you already have in place—feeding schedule, walk times, and house rules. I always double‑check doors, gates, and leashes, and I watch for any changes in behavior or appetite that might signal a problem. I’m respectful of your home, keep things tidy, and send clear updates and photos so you always know how your pets are doing.

About: I grew up with a childhood dog (a Yorkie mix) that I got when I was five years old. My dog became an angel last year at the age of fifteen. I unfortunately am not able to get another dog for the time being because I am starting law school in the fall. But, I miss the presence of a dog dearly, which is why I chose to become a sitter. I smile at and care for all animals, and I am excited to meet all of your fur babies! I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and energy levels. I understand each pet has different needs, so I always ask for details/notes to make sure I can accommodate properly. Under my care, your pet is treated as if it is my own and has my full attention. While caring for pets, I also make sure to send frequent updates and pictures to keep pet parents in the loop:) I currently have a very free schedule, as I am in the summer before I start law school (I am trying to relax as much as possible before). When I begin my studies at the end of August, I will be available on weekends for boarding requests. I enjoy going on walks at the park and have a very active lifestyle, so I would love to bring your dog along! Although I do not have a fenced backyard, I have a 1.5 acre property with ample space. I will always ask what you are most comfortable with (leash in my backyard or not). I have dog bowls in my home I can use for food and drink. Dogs will always be under supervision in my home.
“Mike immediately was one of Freddy’s favorite humans. He had a natural positive energy when he met Freddy for the first time and it’s still like that. He’s communicative and shows up on time. It’s great to have someone reliable to take care of our furry family member while we’re working.”

About: I've been caring for dogs and cats for family, friends, and other pet owners for several years. Whether they're away for a weekend or longer, I make sure their pets receive the same love, attention, and care they're used to at home. I'm experienced with both overnight house sitting and drop-in visits before and after work, making sure pets stay on their normal routines while their owners are away. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to find someone you can trust. I currently have two pugs that I absolutely adore, and I treat every pet I care for as if they were my own. I look forward to giving your furry family member plenty of love, attention, and compassionate care while you're away! I do work full time so I am unable to take the dogs out for a walk during the day (lunch time), but I am able to take them out (walk/feed/play) before I go into work and when I get out of work. I also am able to stay over night if needed. I like to meet the pets first before I watch them alone to that they get used to me and my scent. I want them to be as comfortable as possible so that if I need to walk them or put them in the crate they are at ease with me and everyone is safe.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Basking Ridge
Vanessa and Jeremy were wonderful and so caring! I think my dogs had more fun with them than they do with me! My dogs are not the easiest to take care of, especially the 16 yr old, but Vanessa and Jeremy handled it all and sent pictures and reports that made me feel at ease. I am so grateful for how caring and conscientious they were.
