I know we live in busy world and sometimes we need just a little help keeping the pups happy, please let me help so you don't have feel guilty for not taking your buddy out. A few things your dogs will experience while in my care are attention, love, affection, and of course some treats if you will allow. I am a very out going person and your pups will be in good hands. All dogs I for care will receive walks, snuggle time and more throughout the day, rather they are in my home or their home. Thanks
“Serena was great to my little dog. LOL 😆 Hera is a 9 month old pup and she weighs a little over 90 lbs. Serena was very good with her, Hera loved her and was happy to see her. I will absolutely use her again top-notch to say the least.”

About: Hello, I am new to the area. I am from Jacksonville, Fl but relocated to San Jose for my Fiancé’s job. I am excited to get to know the area, new people, and of course your pets! Let me introduce myself… I am dependable and kind. I will treat your animals like they are my babies, too! I will walk them, play with them, and if you allow them to get in the bed, I will snuggle with them! If they are not allowed on furniture I will sit on the floor and cuddle with them! ? I have been sitting family and friend's pets for years and through word of mouth have ventured out to all over the Jacksonville area and beyond. I have clients in St. Augustine, Fl and Ferdandina Beach, Fl. I love all breeds of dogs and have some experience with elderly animals. I can't wait to meet you and your fur babies; I will make them feel safe and secure! ❤️ I am a preschool teacher and work long hours throughout the week. My availability is to start dog sitting Friday night after work through Monday morning. This way your pet gets the most attention from me. I will love on them the way that you do. If they sleep with you at night? They will sleep with me too. I will try my best to make them feel like you have never left!
“Fuliang did a great job. I felt my cat Alba was well cared for. I got a nice detailed report on the last day. Could have used a picture of my cat everyday but otherwise I am a very satisfied customer and will use this sitter again for my pet sitting needs.”

“Tillana is an absolutely fantastic sitter! She’s taken such great care of our two cats and is super communicative - always giving updates and takes so many pictures. She is 100% dedicated to making sure your furry friends are loved while you’re away! Thank you!!!”

I am a person that likes to be extremely organized and plan my days accordingly along with my own pets needs as well as caring for the needs of other pets. About: I strive to respect every individual's needs and preferences while also prioritizing their comfort and well-being. Whether they are a dog, cat, reptile, bird, or bug. During overnight stays I ensure pets feel comfortable and content, while also respecting their space and boundaries. Especially for those who prefer to be left alone. Some of my prior experiences with pet sitting involved caring for four senior dogs and a kitten. I made sure they received meticulous care. Some of my tasks included administering medications and providing engaging activities. My devotion to animals of all kinds sets me apart as a compassionate and reliable pet sitter. Being unemployed allows me to prioritize pet care, ensuring reliable and attentive service tailored to your pets needs. I am committed to giving the best possible care for your pets! In both my home and my clients home, I dedicate myself to making sure that every pet is content and comfortable. During my overnight stays, I prioritize the pets safety and well-being by following their feeding schedules, administer medication as needed, and offer constant supervision.
“Ana was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond checking in, communicated very well, and was great to work with. We (including our dog) loved her. Will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Another terrific set of services from Denise while we were on vacation. All went well and smoothly. Denise sent us pics, which our other pet-sitter did not, and we enjoyed (and felt comforted) seeing that all was well while we were away. Thanks for your help, Denise!”

“Leaving your pets to go on a trip can be stressful, even more so if they have health conditions. However, rest assured that your pets will be in great hands with Shannon. She was absolutely wonderful with our kitties. Not only she carefully followed all of our instructions, including administering medications and providing extra attention to some of our kitties when needed. She truly went above and beyond to keep our kitties comfortable, happy and healthy. Throughout our time away, Shannon was in regular contact with us and provided thoughtful updates and observations about our kitties. We could enjoy our trip knowing that someone really cared about our pets.”

About: Hi, I’m Julie, a loving, lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet sitter with a knack for keeping pets happy and stress-free. Since childhood, I’ve had the joy of caring for pets of all shapes and sizes. Whether it’s tiny, timid pups who prefer to be attached to your hip, or big, playful dogs who need a loose-leash lesson, I’ve got it covered. I grew up with cats and dogs but also learned the ropes on my cousins’ ranch in Napa, where I helped take care of chickens, ducks, pigs, goats, cows, and even horses. I’m well-versed in calming scared kitties out from their hiding spots and giving cuddle-happy cats all the attention they crave. If your pet has separation anxiety, I’m happy to stay overnight, providing treats, belly rubs, and extra attention to help them feel secure. As a vegan with a deep love for all animals, I connect easily with pets, meeting their needs with empathy and care. I’d love to make your fur baby feel right at home while you’re away. I’m a social media manager for small businesses - all from my laptop! Flexible schedule, extraordinarily communicative, and can work from my phone. I’m an early riser, like dogs need their stimulation,I practice yoga for an hour each day. It’s actually a great way to bond with your dog to help gain quality time in their space. I’m happy to dedicate my time on a consistent or varied basis. I’m experienced with all types, from friendly pups to reserved seniors who prefer their space, ensuring everyone feels respected and at ease. I also want to respect all of your house rules to keep your space clean and respect your privacy. With years of pet-sitting experience, I understand the unique “languages” of different animals—especially cats, who can bring a bit of sass (thanks, Ginger, my childhood orange tabby!). I prioritize each pet’s personal needs, tuning into their preferences, triggers, and routines. Before any overnight stay, I always meet pets to let them get comfortable with my scent and presence. For dogs, I focus on getting their energy out with safe, structured walks—leash on, crossing only at crosswalks, and steering clear of any distractions.

About: I moved to San Jose August of 2023 from San Diego, and a few months prior to moving I worked at a dog boarding & training facility that specialized in relationship-based training. The facility offered board and train programs and I would handle the pickups, dropoffs, behavioral assessments, playtimes, training and walking sessions, feedings, medications, and also assisted with the board and train programs. At that facility, I accumulated close to 100 hours of relationship-based training with many dogs of different breeds, backgrounds, and behaviors. I am experienced with basic obedience, recall, engagement, behaviors, socialization, impulse control/ counterconditioning, and walking(leash and harness)/loose leash walking (slip lead, and gentle leader)!! I work a part time job and I would love to utilize my free time to gain more experience/time with dogs of all different backgrounds! I believe that there is always something new to learn, so I want to expand my knowledge as much as possible in this field to develop my skills and understanding more as a dog behaviorist/trainer. Message me for my availability! Thurs-Sun I work part time. But outside of my hours and days I work, I would love to sit, walk, check on, or train your pup! Message me for my exact availability, as it changes weekly. I am happy to try and pencil someone in who needs services! Most importantly with walking dogs, I value the connection and I want to establish a good relationship with any dog I have the opportunity to work with. It is my priority to make sure that your dog(s) feels safe and loved along with having a developed mutual respect for both I and the dog. And second, I will never place any dog into an environment or situation that could be harmful for the it's psychical and mental well-being. Lastly, I believe communication is essential and I will always strive for strong and open communication to help any client feel trusting of their pet being in my care. And I will happily help talk through any troubles or concerns that are expressed!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Ashrama. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
