About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was a kid. I know how to handle extra-large breeds as well as small breeds. I even know how to handle senior dogs and puppies. I currently have a dog and a cat I am responsible for caring for. I take care of my cat full-time and the dog I take care of when I go home. I am responsible for feeding them and cleaning up after them. My dog I will take on walks and play with her. I would make sure they have water and an adequate amount of food. I also ensure their litter box is cleaned if it is a cat. If it were a dog I would take them out for a walk or into to back yard for them to go to the bathroom.

“Debora is AMAZING. She checks on my rescue pooch Jordi once a day for five days a week when I am at work. She sends photos and videos along with a brief recap of how Jordi did that day. I completely trust Debora with my dog, and will continue to book her each week! GO DEBORA!!!”

About: I have had dogs and cats since I was born and have always loved animals. I currently have two large dogs and a cat of my own. I worked as a vet tech for 3 years and am familiar with caring for animals with various health needs such as medications both orally and subcutaneously (insulin) as well as general first aid. I am comfortable with all size pets and all breeds and am happy to take my time with nervous animals to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. I am not working currently so I am available most days and most times. I can accommodate early morning or late night requests for walks and drop ins. For the safety of my own pets as well as your own I do not plan to bring any pets to my house while under my supervision.

About: I’ve been dog walking and sitting for both relatives and family friends since I was maybe 5 or 6. I grew up in a big dog family and have always had a passion for animals. I’m starting school this fall at Iowa State University, and I plan to major in Animal Biology so I can get myself started on the pre-veterinary track. To get some extra hands-on experience, I want to “officially” get some pet-sitting under my belt through Rover. I have also recently started volunteering at the Ames Animal Shelter and I love the exposure that I’m getting! Apart from starting college in late August, I am currently unemployed and am looking for one (or more!) part-time job(s) to add some more structure to my summer :) From there, I’ll probably stay active on Rover, but my availability might become a little less flexible. I have two cats and one dog (all girls and all spayed!) that know how to behave with guests. Our dog loves to make friends and is very sociable. I’m perfectly fine visiting or staying overnight for your pets, and they will always be welcome at my house. I can adjust based on whatever your preferences are!

“Jeanette was amazing! There are very few people I will leave my baby boy with. She did amazing. She was willing to come and meet him and he is high strung but she was still willing to deal with his size and personality. We will be requesting her if we need again.”

I am flexible with my schedule, however, and can make accommodations for your pets needs! In order to care for your pet best, I will communicate with you on walking schedules, medications, and any other accommodations. I have experience giving medications such as pills, eye drops, ear drops, and ear cleaning solutions. I am more than willing to work with the owner on special care and welcome instruction.

Sarah M.
“Sarah has experience with a wide range of animals, including fish, reptiles, rodents, dogs, cats, and horses. With two dogs and a cat at home, she prioritizes their well-being by caring for each animal as an individual. For example, one of her dogs has a condition that needs specialized vet care and diet. Between her previous job as a vet tech and her innate love of all creatures, she makes sure that while the dog receives the necessary care, the other animals in the house are just as happy and loved. Her world revolves around her animals, so she understands how important pets are to their people!”
