Dog Walking Ament Corners

About: Hi there, my name is Sami! I've lived with dogs my whole life, big and small - some of which include a Golden Retriever, a Yorkie, and a Maltese. My sister occasionally comes over with her Goldendoodle, and I love spending time with my aunt's Bernese Mountain Dogs when I can visit them. I plan to adopt my own dog later in the future, and perhaps enroll them as a therapy dog to bring comfort to others. I've watched both my sister's and parents' dogs while they are away for the day, and I have some experience in caring for them when they were puppies. I used to walk my parents' dogs in the past, as well. I enjoy interacting with dogs as a whole, and I put their safety and comfort first. I'm an introvert who lives a quiet lifestyle, but I also love to have fun, so if your furry friend needs someone to hang out with while you're away, I'll be there for them! NOTE: Though I adore cats, I am unfortunately allergic and therefore cannot interact with them directly if you have any in your home. I can still feed or play with them via a cat teaser or laser pointer, but I cannot pet them or pick them up. :( Currently, I am working full-time at an elementary school in Minooka. However, school is out for the summer until August, so I will be manually updating my Rover schedule to provide some availability Monday through Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays, I am available during afternoons and evenings, though prior arrangements in advance can be made for a morning walk or drop-in visit! I will update my schedule as soon as anything changes. If you have any questions regarding my schedule for a particular day or week, please don’t hesitate to message me! IMPORTANT: As per Rover’s Terms of Service, please note that I cannot share private contact details or accept methods of payment outside of Rover. This is for the safety and security of all parties involved. When out on a walk, I will make sure your friend is kept safe and away from hazards or things they may be uncomfortable with. When dropping in for a visit, I will make sure their needs are met and everything is secured for their safety. They would never be left unsupervised, and they'll get lots of love and playtime! I will gladly send photos and text updates upon request. Please do let me know your communication frequency preferences, so I don't accidentally disturb you with messages!

About: I have been around animals my whole life. Growing up, we mainly had cats and dogs, but in recent years we have expanded to fish, birds, and frogs! At the moment, my family has 2 cats, 2 parakeets, and about a million fish. I started pet sitting for friends, family, and neighbors as a kid, and now I try to pet sit whenever I am home from college. I am also the primary care taker of my little home zoo. I’m currently home for the summer, and I have really flexible hours! I have several vacations planned for the summer, so I do not currently have a job lined up, which means more time to play with your pets! I am currently not able to care for your pets in my home as my cats are not very accepting of new animals. At your home, I will work with you to learn what is best for your pets! If you have a fenced in yard, that’s great! If not, no worries.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life from big dogs to small. I love walking my own dogs in forest preserves and I have dog-sat my neighbor’s dog before. I also worked at a pet store for a few months. I’m currently in school and have a part time job, but my mornings during the weekdays from 6 am to 11am are free to walk your dogs. I currently don’t offer pet care in my home, but I’m happy to travel to you. I make sure pets feel safe, happy, and loved while in their own home. I follow their usual routine for feeding, walks, and playtime. I can also send updates and photos so you know they’re doing great while you’re away.

About: I’ve cared for and trained my own dogs, mostly focusing on basic obedience like sit, stay, lay down, speak, crate training, and name recall. I use positive reinforcement and food motivation, and I try to stay consistent with routines so pets understand what’s expected. I’m comfortable with daily care like feeding, walking, potty breaks, and keeping pets on a schedule. I’m patient and focused on making sure pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. Pet care fits well into my weekly routine. I currently work part-time, so I’m available for house sitting on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. During those days, I have plenty of time to stick to your pet’s routine, that means feeding, walks, playtime, etc. Im often available after work as well to provide any small quick services like walks! I follow all instructions provided by the owner, including feeding schedules, walks, medication, and routines. I make sure pets get consistent attention, exercise, and companionship so they don’t feel stressed or alone while their owner is away. I also treat the client’s home with respect, keeping it clean and secure, and making sure everything is left as it was when I arrived. My goal is to create a calm, reliable environment where both the pet and the owner feel at ease.

About: I grew up around dogs as my grandma was a verified trainer and breeder. I’ve been around all sizes of dogs ranging from German Shepards to Corgis. I had my own dogs growing up that were professionally trained. While I no longer have my own dog, I am around one constantly and have always had a love for them. I do work the weekends at a restaurant so later at nights but during the weekdays, I am almost always free and in town. I am a night owl but do wake up very easily in the mornings. I plan to follow and abide by any rules or boundaries that the owner sets for their home. I will not able to house any dogs at my own house but will make sure that any doors or yards are locked.

About: I have work experience in kennel and farm animal as well! I have been fostering pets since 2015 and am in undergrad for Veterinary Medicine. Pet care is usually always a responsibility 4-5 times a week when I am working. With my free time it can be my responsibility whenever. I provide care by creating a fun experience for the pet(s). No matter the personality of the pet, I will always love and want trust.

About: I have worked in animal control for 5+ years. I love all animals!! tiny or tall? Sweet or stranger danger ? I love them as they are ! I also have 100 pound German Shepherd and a cat. I am currently working in the evenings, but also available every weekend! I would love to care for anyone’s animals whenever they need it ! Making sure doors and fences are secure before and after arriving and making sure all pets are accounted for! Always double check just to be sure !!

About: I have owned cats for the past 30+ years and owned dogs for the past 16 years. We are an animal loving household that would love to help you out with your pet care needs. I have experience with all ages and sizes of dogs. I currently have a diabetic dog that I give special care to - Homemade food- insulin - CGM to monitor her blood sugar. I work from home and have a pretty flexible schedule, so I would be home taking care of your pets needs throughout the day, evening and night. I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs for your dog to play with. We have plenty of people in the house to give lots of love, affection and playtime daily. Your pup will be treated like one of our own while they stay with us.

About: I have grown up with all kinds of animals! Currently have 3 loving and friendly dog along with 1 cat! They love when friends come over and they have someone to play with! We go on walks, love to be outside in our fenced in our back yard and snuggling up on the couch! My fur babies and I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies! I do have 3 children so being good around kids for stays with me is a must! Thank you! I am currently a full time stay at home mom, so I will be home with your pets all day long! We like to spend a lot of the day out in the fenced in backyard, and getting cozy on the couch afterwards for a nap! We have a monthly bark box subscription, so we have plenty of toys to play with! I have a big fenced in yard, and sweet dogs, eager to meet some new friends to play with! We do not have crates at my home, but always welcome to stay consistent with your preference of crate training if necessary!

About: I’ve helped taken care of our family dog for over 10 years & friends always rely on me to help with their pets as well! I have experience working at a shelter and a doggy daycare! I’m currently I’m working on becoming a CVT but I am not enrolled in any classes until the fall. I am looking for a full time job but for now plan to take on Rover full time! Any chance I get to spend time with animals count me in! Anything to make you & your fur baby/babies feel safe! I am trustworthy & reliant, i am constantly around dogs and know how to care for them. I promise they will be in good, loving & caring hands!

About: My family has been part of Rover for 10 years and have gained a network of regular animals. I have taken care of many types and breeds of animals including my own family pets. I've had 3 dogs, 3 cats, a chinchilla, a guinea pig, and fish so I can handle most animals. Overall, I am pretty open on weekdays after 11:00 am and can do overnight stays as well. I am available all day on weekends as well. I am in an apartment that does not allow pets so I am looking to have time with animals through Rover. I miss my animals back home since I am away at college so I would never put an animal in danger since I know how important a pet can be to someones life.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life! I have experience with dog sitting and dog walking! Always excited to meet a new puppy! I am free all afternoons! But if needed in the morning or evening let me know! I’m always willing to negotiate a schedule to whatever is easiest for you! Unfortunately I am in an apartment so I will not be able to pet sit at my home, but whenever your pet needs to go outside I will keep an eye on them (especially if there is no fence)! I am able to lead a pet into a crate if needed. If there is anything else you would like me to do while with your pet let me know!

I have grown up with animals my whole life including cats, dogs, rabbits, and other small animals. I'm currently a teacher working remotely and during my breaks before and after classes I would love to care for your pets. I'm available to do check ins and walks. I would also consider doing an overnight depending on my availability. I will provide updates and photos when requested by the owner and will provide quality care to your pet while you are away.
