“We had an amazing experience with Adrienne! She stayed with Mickey and kept us updated with frequent messages and adorable pictures, which gave us a peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Mickey was well cared for, happy, and comfortable the entire time. We truly appreciated the communication and attention to detail. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend Adrienne to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!”

“Jessica has cared for our pups 3 times now. They're not the easiest to handle at times but she's a true Godsend. She's very detail oriented about their routines and habits and very patient when needed. She took great care of the house while we were gone for a week as well. So glad we found her and will definitely have her watch our pups again and again.”

“Sara was absolutely amazing! One of our dogs can be a little nervous meeting new people, and Sara was so patient. She came in, sat down, and let Heidi get comfortable at her own pace. She even brought her own treats, which the dogs loved. While we were away, she checked in regularly with photos and videos, and we really appreciated that. And when we got home, I swear the house was even cleaner than when we left it. Truly a 10/10 experience. Sara was fantastic!”

“We happily had Laurie spend a long weekend with our 2 dogs at our house and everything was great! She sent lots of photos of the dogs and they seemed very much like they enjoyed themselves. She even got my picky dog to eat. Respectful with the house and we returned to happy dogs and a clean house.”

“Taylor did an excellent job watching our dog over the weekend. She kept us updated with great photos and asked detailed questions that really let me know that she cared about our boy. I'll definitely look to Taylor again next time we leave town.”

“Kaylie was awesome! She house sat (my senior dog and cat) ensuring they got their medication. She did all the things I asked and sent me pictures am/pm. Highly recommend Kaylie!”

“First time using Rover and leaving my 10-week-old puppy, and Ava was absolutely fantastic. She sent pictures and videos throughout the day, and I could tell he was having so much fun. She kept him on his schedule and was clearly experienced with puppies. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such great hands- will definitely be using Ava again!”

“Maria is the best! She was so kind, accommodating to our specific needs, communicated very well, and loved my kitten as if he were her own. We are incredibly thankful to have found her and look forward to working with her again in the future.”

“Sherri is amazing!!! We feel so comfortable going away and leaving our dog in her care!! She sends us thoughtful updates and cute pics of our dog, and she messages us about any questions or concerns. She has great attention to detail, and she takes wonderful care of our home. She makes sure that our dog gets his daily walks and/or backyard exercise and most of all - lots of love! We definitely plan on using Sherri for future dog sitting! I highly recommend her as a dog sitter and a house sitter!!”

About: Hello, I’m so excited to become a dog sitter & walker on rover! I have always been a huge dog fan. I have had a small yorkie ever sense I was young. My sister has a big dog who I also enjoy being around! I am currently college student training to become a nurse! I’m looking for a seasonal job for over the summer! I love being active so taking care of dogs would be perfect! I am correctly working a part time job as a hostess at a restaurant but I’d love to do rover on my days off! I will treat pets like my family. I love making pets happy and feel loved. I will adhere to all costumer requests! I will make sure the dog is happy and well taken care of!

About: Animals have been a huge part of my life for years. I previously worked at a veterinary hospital, where I cared for pets in a kennel setting and assisted with appointments, giving me experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities, and also currently furthering my vet med education. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply cuddling on the couch, my goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else's care, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am a stay at home (expecting) mom, and my schooling is also done at home. You can rest assured knowing that your fur baby will get constant attention and affection I have ample house space and yard space for your fur baby. I also make walks apart of my daily habit so you can rest assured knowing your baby will get all the exercise they could dream of
About: I’ve spent my entire life around animals! From growing up in a house full of all kinds of animals and currently being a proud dog mom of 3 and snake mom of 1, to pet sitting through my teen years, to volunteering at a special needs dog sanctuary for 3 years.. there is nothing I feel more comfortable doing than hanging out with and caring for furry, scaly, or feathered friends! I am available for care all hours of the day or night weekdays and weekends! I’m happy to do late night or early mornings 😊 I want more than anything to provide everyone that trusts me with their furry babies peace of mind knowing that with me, they are genuinely safe and will always be treated like they are my very own. To say I’m a helicopter dog mom is an understatement, and I understand more than anyone the fear of unknowns when leaving your pets with a new person and I hope I can alleviate that stress from both you and your pets. From the bottom of my heart, you can trust that when your pets are with me they are in a safe space and being treated with love, care, and consideration!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Amelano Manor
Karen was absolutely the best dog sitter and house sitter. We were overseas for 10 days and our blind dog is very averse to strangers. She came over a couple of times so he could get used to her. Her calm presence and gentle manner immediately put him at ease. He's very barky but she remained perfectly calm. He warmed up fast and they were best buddies soon after we left. Notably, Karen also took amazing care of our house - watering plants, filling the bird feeders, taking out trash, and leaving our place perfectly clean. She provided our special needs dog with exactly the kind of caring, loving, calm environment that he needed while we were gone and provided us with the peace of mind that we needed to enjoy our vacation. Karen gets our highest recommendation to anyone considering her for pet/house sitting.

Rochelle did an excellent job watching our two pups over a long weekend. She got along with them right away, helped us administer daily medications, and kept me and my wife up to date with fun pictures, videos each day. She kept our house in excellent shape, and she even left us a pressed four leaf clover that she found in our yard. We look forward to booking with her again!

Amanda bonded with my cat immediately. He is a 'super senior' in good health, but he gets quite needy when we go away, which is why I needed a sitter who truly understands cats, and Amanda is that person! She took great care of him and the house. Having a peace of mind while away is invaluable. Thank you again, Amanda, for your kind care of our needy little guy, and your excellent communication.

If I could give Ellen a higher rating I would. She was amazing with my dog Kylo.. going for daily walks/hikes and reserving play time around the farm. The photo updates along the way gave me peace of mind while I was out of town and by the end of his stay, I’m not so sure he wanted to come home! We’ll be returning very soon. Thanks, Ellen!

Lily was so great with my dog reactive girl, Serenity! She kept me up to date the entire visit regarding meal consumption and how she did on walks. She also sent many pictures of my baby, which made being away a little easier. Five stars! Will absolutely re book in the future!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Amelano Manor on Rover is $42.18 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Amelano Manor walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Amelano Manor maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Amelano Manor choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Amelano Manor. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
