“I met Adrienne recently to have her pet sit. Upon first meeting, she asked all the appropriate questions about how to care for them. The weekend had some adventures (not fault of hers) but she handled it beautifully and showed so much love for my pets. I absolutely will use her again. ❤️ -from A Veterinarian”

“Jessica was great! She accepted our booking last minute and still made time to do a meet and greet prior to watching our dog. She was very communicative and prompt! Would definitely book her again!”

“Sara took care of our 2 dogs while my family was away for the weekend. She took great care of the dogs, sent pictures and left the house clean and just as we left it. She was attentive to the dogs and followed the routine we usually do with them. I would absolutely use her again”

“Kaila was amazing!! She took care of my German Shepherd while I was away for the weekend. She kept me updated the whole time and I’m so grateful she took such a good care of my baby!”

“Syd did a wonderful job watching our dog-reactive dog! He kept him safe most importantly. Communicated well throughout, even sent us pics, kept our place clean and gave our dog, Pablo lots of love! Highly recommend! 😊”

“Kaylie was great with our pet Bella, an older dog needing a little more comfort and companionship. Bella was well taken care by Kaylie while we were out of town a few days. Kaylie sent us pictures and we were able to keep in touch. thanks Kaylie!”

“Devon just spent 10 days at our home watching our 2 dogs (12y.o. Pit/chow and 8 y.o pitbull). I was nervous about finding someone to stay with our dogs as my older dog can be temperamental but the moment Devon came by for a meet and greet it was clear he is a dog whisperer. I received updates and pictures twice a day and never had to worry about how things were going at home. My older dog has been showing signs of dementia and Devon was able to sooth him through 4th of July and fireworks without any additional anxiety medication. Additionally, I was impressed with how respectful Devon was of our home and space. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs. We will definitely be booking again.”

“Tess is the best! One of our dogs is quite anxious. I could tell from the pictures that he was super comfortable with Tess. We received pictures and updates daily and knew they were in wonderful hands. To top everything, Tess was a super home sitter as well. Tess is genuine, reliable, considerate and a sweet and caring person. Six stars out of five!!”

“Our dogs love her and the house was left perfect after she left. One of our dogs is old and needs care every 4 hours or less and some pills. He is also deaf and uses sign language to communicate. She was able to handle all of this no problem. Booking her again for our next trip!”

“Maureen was great with Mack. Did a meet and great last minute for me. Left our house better than we left it:) Maureen was really patient with our highly anxious dog. Great communication and sent lots of pictures. I felt very comfortable leaving our dog with Maureen and will use again very soon!! Thank you Maureen!!”

“Ashley did such an amazing job with our two pups Gotham and Nora! She was so sweet with them and extremely accommodating to my wife and I by even staying a little bit extra because of a hiccup in our schedule. I would fully recommend Ashley for any one of our friends with fur-babies.”

“Best house sitter that there ever was!!! She washed and folded the laundry that she used (we didn’t ask her to), she helped out with Buddy, our Elf on the Shelf, and was great with communication.”

“Our sweet Gimli was happy with Marilyn! She was very responsive and reliable. She shared happy photos of our dog! I appreciated finding our home just as we left it! I would recommend Marilyn for watching your pets!”

“Maria is the best! She was so kind, accommodating to our specific needs, communicated very well, and loved my kitten as if he were her own. We are incredibly thankful to have found her and look forward to working with her again in the future.”

“We had Alyssa at our house for a week and our dogs seemed to really like her. When we got back they weren’t agitated or anxious or anything. I loved the pictures and updates she sent too. She even noticed one of my dogs was having bad allergies and let me know about it so I could tell her where the allergy medicine was.”

About: I grew up with a border collie that my siblings, and I took care of. I currently have a tabby cat that I got almost six years ago when she was a kitten! In the past I have also taken care of friends’ dogs and cats. My work schedule is very flexible right now, and I would love to take your dog for a walk or watch your cat when needed! Unfortunately I am NOT able to accept repeating requests at this time! I live in an apartment and have a cat who prefers her own space! I would prefer to watch pets in your home or take them outside on walks.

Miranda is an angel!! She was so patient and kind with our reactive dog, Nessa. We’ve always been weary of hiring a dog sitter for Nessa and this was our first time. Miranda used several strategies to make Nessa feel comfortable. By the end, Nessa wanted lots of pets from Miranda. We are so thankful for her!

Karen was amazing with watching our pups and cat while we were out of town for 12 days. She was very communicative with multiple updates and pictures throughout the day. Karen also helped keeping an eye and taking care of things around the house to make sure everything is good while we were away. Thank you very much for everything and will reach out for future home boarding needs!

Jennifer is an absolute gem of a human and pet sitter. Shes the perfect amount of confident and calm which both I and my dogs picked up on and appreciated. My one pup is a bit anxious but by the end of the second day I had photos of both dogs loving their lives. Jennifer even road out terrible weather and put their safety first. We already have another trip booked and I cannot be happier that we have her here to help us!

Kristen was fantastic with our dogs even when our husky went full husky on the very first night. With one of our dogs being a new diabetic, it was great to have her expertise stay with the dogs so she could administer the insulin shot twice a day. We would definitely use Kristen again.
We had a great experience with Leslie. She accommodated our booking last minute, which was incredibly helpful and took a lot of stress off our shoulders. She kept us updated throughout Olive’s stay with messages and photos. We really appreciated her responsiveness, flexibility, and the care she showed Olive. Would absolutely book with her again!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clover Hill walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clover Hill maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clover Hill choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
