Before the pandemic, I worked as a veterinary technician at a pet clinic, where I gained hands-on experience and learned essential skills like pet first aid and CPR. About: Usually when people small talk, the topic of animals comes up. “What type of pets do you have??”. Nothing prepares them for the “Oh!! I have a bearded dragon, ball python, cockatiel, and toads…I also foster dogs and cats”, sentence. Their faces never get old 😅. You heard me right though! Not only have I owned cats/dogs, I also pride myself in having owned a vast variety of reptiles/amphibians/avian/small mammals over the years. I have been fostering both cats/dogs for the past year as well. Providing me with experience in grooming, bathing, administering meds, enrichment, and attention. I’ve dealt with many emergent situations, strengthening my knowledge and preparedness with any animal. Why stop at just cats and dogs when you could enjoy so much more? What separates me from other sitters are the platters I’ve already been dealt. Fostering, as well as owning non traditional animals, has thrown me for several loops that I would’ve never experienced by just owning a cat or dog. Pet care is the majority, if not all of my daily housework. When I foster animals, all of them need hourly upkeep on food, medicine, and play time. Easily translatable to your pet! My apartment is deep cleaned on a weekly basis; a necessity when caring for many animals. I value a organized, clean space for all my animals. I care for pets by providing basic necessities, plenty of toys, and a loving space for them to thrive in. My animals receive weekly, if not daily, wellness checks. I check for weight loss, dehydration, fleas/lice, nail length, and matting. When feeding, I make sure everyone gets proper nutrition (with a few treats ;)) and there are no signs of fatigue or unwillingness to eat. Proper behavioral signs are noted, and I can catch on to behavior that is abnormal and needs attention.

About: Hi!! My name is Chelsea. My husband, Steven and I recently lost our soul dog of 13 years, Rudy. He was the best, grumpiest, sweetest little sunshine boy in the whole world. We really miss having fur babies around us but aren't currently ready to adopt yet. We thought we'd open our home to other doggos whose parents need to getaway for vacation or who need someone to check in on their babies during the day 💕💕. I was a VERY anxious dog mama so I understand how scary it can be to leave your baby with someone else. I'm happy to provide loads and loads of photos (proof of life as I like to call it 😉) as well as any do any other little activities/tasks that might make you feel better about leaving your baby (happy to FaceTime you, sing them the lullaby you sing at night, etc 😘). Our sweet boy passed after living with Canine Cognitive Disorder for a year, so while we love doggos of all ages, we have developed a soft spot for seniors 💕🙏🏻. We'd love to give all the snuggles and walks and treats and love to your fur baby while you're away 💕💕 My husband and I both work full time from home so your fur baby will get lots of attention if staying with us! I'm a morning person so I'm happy to do early walks or early breakfast times. We have a fenced in yard and are VERY diligent about keeping the gates locked (and doors closed). We have a small doggy door if your baby would like to go "in and out" all day, but are also happy to keep that shut for your peace of mind. I love spending time in the yard so your baby will have lots of company!

I understand that it can be nerve-racking to lend your pets to someone else but I can guarantee you I would provide your babies with the best care and affection, so you can feel at ease. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to giving every dog the care they need, from energetic pups to gentle seniors. Whether it’s daily walks, cuddles, or overnight care, I make sure to go above and beyond to keep you and your pet happy. On Monday and Wednesday I have classes and am unable to work. I am free Tuesday and Thursday before 3:30, Friday after 9am and on weekends with notice. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. In my care, I make sure they have a secure, loving environment where they can relax and feel at home. I pay close attention to each pet’s routine and needs, whether that’s feeding schedules, medications, or just extra snuggles so that they feel safe and cared for. On walks, I’m always alert to surroundings, keeping dogs leashed and making sure they enjoy exercise in a safe way. If I were boarding your animals, I live in an apartment that is on the third floor with no elevator so if they were small I could pick them up and bring them up and down. If the pet was large, they would need to have the ability to climb two flights of stairs. I am ready to abide by all rules but if no rules were set, they are allowed in all spaces and on furniture because while they are in my space they will be like my family. I also take time to earn their trust through patience and consistency, so every pet feels comfortable and every owner feels confident.
