“Jess was amazing with our dogs and even did extra to play with our kitties. She included so many pictures of our babies it was nice to see them being so happy while we were out of town. Would definitely recommend using her to watch your fur babies.”
“This was my first time using Anna to take care of my two cats. She has been more than wonderful! It says a lot when my cats will come out for someone new and they both did. I highly recommend her and will definitely be using her again. Thank you Anna!”

“Jordan was phenomenal with my Blue Heeler who was still recovering from a rear leg surgery. Jordan jumped in to help on a spur of the moment request and truly was a godsend.”

“Veronica is amazing! My dogs are both very high energy and one is slow to warm up to new people. They love her and know they're going to get plenty of attention when they see her coming. She is wonderful with them. I highly recommend her for your pet sitting/visiting needs!”

“Stacy did a great job looking after Polly! She was always on time, took many pictures of Polly, and sent sweet messages about their time. She was also very flexible when my travel plans changed. I definitely recommend Stacy! :)”

“Linnea is proof that there is still good people out there. She was so nice and accommodating to my unstable weekend schedule! She treated my dogs like her own and extraordinarily trustworthy. I am definitely going to rebook and recommend her.”

About: I have a large yard and home, where I have raised horse, dogs, and cats. I have years of experience training horses and dogs and caring for my kitties. My career in the medical field transfers over to minimal pet care. I am very familiar with administrating medications and taking special precaution for those that need special accommodation. I am working from home and have a lot of time to be outdoors. I have plenty of time during the week and weekends. My only trips out are for groceries and needed supplies. I live on 10 acres north of Big Bend all fenced in. We are set up for equestrian care with all the fencing to keep small and large farm animals on the property. We do have horses on the property. The dogs and horse will always be separated. We have lots of room for dogs to run and play. I enjoy taking the dogs on long walks on the property (if the weather is good) and always away from the horses. My house has a big family room that is divided into two large areas for the cats or dogs to be inside in separate areas.
“Claudia has cared for Milo at least five times now, and every experience has been outstanding. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing he’s in such loving and capable hands whenever I’m away. She is reliable, attentive, and genuinely treats Milo like he’s part of her own family. She always pays attention to the little details, keeps me updated, and makes sure he’s happy, comfortable, and well cared for. The moment Milo sees Claudia, his tail starts wagging and he gets so excited—that says everything about the bond they’ve built. I couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter. Thank you, Claudia, for always taking such incredible care of my sweet boy. I wholeheartedly recommend you to anyone looking for someone who will love and care for their pet as if it were their own!”

“Shayla was amazing with my fur-baby! She followed instructions as directed, communicated daily, provided prompt responses, and arrived on-time for scheduled check-ins and walks. For example, my dog is given multi-vitamins twice daily and Shayla followed those instructions. She was flexible with her schedule: as I needed to add check-in services and accommodated my last minute requests. She showed some much love and patience towards my fur-baby during my extended trip with lots of hugs, belly rubs and play, which added the comfort my fur-baby needed. I would highly recommend Shayla to anyone who is seeking someone who is truly passionate about caring for your pet, has excellent communication skills, and is extremely reliable. We look forward to booking Shayla again!!”

“Dana was absolutely fantastic with our two cats. Such peace of mind! She even managed to give one of them the asthma inhaler which I wasn’t sure our cat would accept from someone else than me. Highly recommend!”

“Kyle was awesome for us. She did numerous drop in visits over Christmas break. Was at the house when she said every time and stayed the full 30 minutes. She made sure they were outside playing the entire time too. We asked her while we were gone if she could make a few more visits than we had originally planned and she was more than willing to accommodate our needs. We were very greatful for her help and will definitely use her again in the future if she is available. The dogs loved her from the second she walked in. Couldn't be more pleased!”

“Lindsay have been doing check ins on my Boston lilly for 2 weeks now. And she has had good communication and always make sure lilly gets plenty of exercise and has time to cool down safely after play time. Atm I plan on keeping her as a sitter for a long term. Thank you Lindsey 😊”

About: Over the past four years, I’ve cared for dozens of dogs and cats for friends and family—walking, feeding, playing, and giving them love while their people were away. What started as doing favors turned into something I genuinely enjoy and feel confident doing, so I thought… why not finally offer it professionally? While I’ve never had a pet of my own (yet!), I treat every animal I care for like they’re family. I take time to learn their routines, preferences, and personalities to make sure they feel safe and happy while you’re gone. I’m attentive, gentle, and great at reading an animal’s vibe—whether they want playtime, cuddles, or just someone calm nearby. I’d love to meet your furry companion and be someone you can count on. Let’s chat about how I can help! I currently work part-time most of my work days are during the weekend so throughout the week I am home all day pretty much every day! I am to make sure I learn the routines of each of my clients and ensure that the pets feel like they are at home!

Thank you very much for everything. The animals seem to be doing great and are very happy. Of course now they see their humans! We are traveling again next month from August 24 through the 28th. I’m sorry the 23rd through the 28th. Would you be available then?

Amanda was great with our two Cats. One of our cats went into hiding at the end of our trip and Amanda stayed lingering just to make sure she got eyes on the cat before leaving. The cats and our house were left exactly as we left it, clean and happy. Thank you Amanda for the great job.

Anna is amazing! She went above and beyond caring for my kitties while I was away. She sent photos, brought in any packages by the door and even swept the floor. She is caring, compassionate, and kind. I am so grateful to have connected with Anna and look forward to her watching my kitties whenever I am away from them.

Noel has been taking care of Jinx for a couple years now and I can tell Jinx looks forward to her visits with giving her his full belly for belly rubs. She's has great communication and sends the best pics. I'm always confident Jinx is in great hands whenever I go on vacation and Noel takes care of him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
