“I’m so grateful for the wonderful drop-in visit Anna provided for my dog! From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional and communicative, asking thoughtful questions to ensure she understood my dog’s routine and needs. During the visit, Anna spent quality time with my dog, giving her attention, playtime, and making sure she was fed and comfortable. I received regular updates with photos and notes, which made me feel so reassured that my pup was in great hands. Anna went above and beyond, even taking the time to send a little extra love and care my dog’s way. I can tell my dog felt totally relaxed and happy after the visit. I will absolutely be booking Anna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!”

“She was great with my dogs! She was always on time, took them for walks, and sent lots of updates and pictures. I felt completely comfortable knowing they were in good hands while I was away. Highly recommend!!”

“I was really anxious about leaving my three cats at home while traveling for the holidays. I couldn’t have made a better decision in choosing Cristina for animal care. Cristina always responds to messages promptly, takes extra care during her visits (lots of photos and thorough review of the visits), and goes above and beyond (taking in our mail, turning off lights, taking out the trash, etc). Thank you so so much, Cristina! I hope you are available the next time we need a cat sitter!”

“Shayla was amazing with my fur-baby! She followed instructions as directed, communicated daily, provided prompt responses, and arrived on-time for scheduled check-ins and walks. For example, my dog is given multi-vitamins twice daily and Shayla followed those instructions. She was flexible with her schedule: as I needed to add check-in services and accommodated my last minute requests. She showed some much love and patience towards my fur-baby during my extended trip with lots of hugs, belly rubs and play, which added the comfort my fur-baby needed. I would highly recommend Shayla to anyone who is seeking someone who is truly passionate about caring for your pet, has excellent communication skills, and is extremely reliable. We look forward to booking Shayla again!!”

“Veronica will be our go-to pet sitter, hands-down. From the initial meeting, it was apparent we had selected a true pet lover. Thanks, Veronica, for the detailed feedback, promptness and delightful pics you sent in the status update. It makes our traveling days so much more relaxing to know they’re in loving hands.”

About: I have taken care of neighbors, friends and family's pets. I have had 10 pets in the past 35 years. I have trained 6 puppies. I have had 4 senior dogs. I am a retired teacher. Other than an occasional routine or exercise, I'm home. I have plenty of time to love and care for one of the most important member of your family. I have a fenced yard and can take on more than one dog from the same family. If your pet feels comfortable in a crate, I will set one up, otherwise I do not crate dogs. Dogs are welcome to sit on the furniture and I have dog stairs.
“Jess was amazing with our dogs and even did extra to play with our kitties. She included so many pictures of our babies it was nice to see them being so happy while we were out of town. Would definitely recommend using her to watch your fur babies.”
“Dana was absolutely fantastic with our two cats. Such peace of mind! She even managed to give one of them the asthma inhaler which I wasn’t sure our cat would accept from someone else than me. Highly recommend!”

“Dana was a wonderful sitter for my two cats. She was reliable, flexible, and very personable. She made sure to update me regularly and send photos which I love. I would consider her again in the future and highly recommend to others looking for pet care!”

“Lisa was wonderful and I would recommend her to anyone looking for care for their pet! She asked to do a meet and greet (at no charge) ahead of time which I really appreciated - it was great to be able to explain instructions in person. She arrived on time, sent updates and was an overall pleasure to work with. Will definitely use again!”

“Wow. Stacey is amazing, I really lucked out with her… this was my very first Rover visit and wow, she would be a tough act to follow. She’s a former vet tech so she really knows her stuff, and she took such great care of my precious little Persians including my tiny, brand-new 3 month old baby kitten. I was nervous about leaving them alone but Stacey immediately put me at ease. She’s so easy to communicate with too and perfectly on-time. Stacey, you’re perfect!!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have been caring for them since I was about 10 years old, so having animals in my life has always felt very natural to me. Over the years I’ve cared for dogs with very different personalities, ages, energy levels, and needs. I pay a lot of attention to how an animal communicates - what makes them comfortable, what makes them nervous, when they want interaction, and when they need a little space. I know how important familiar routines are, especially when their person is away, and I’m happy to follow the feeding, walking, playtime, medication, and other routines your pet is used to. I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to plan walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting around my workday. I arrange visit times with each client in advance and do my best to keep your pet’s usual schedule consistent. For house sitting, I can work remotely from your home, which allows me to spend more time there with your pets. I care for pets in their own home, where they can stay in a familiar environment and follow their usual routine. I carefully follow your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medication, and any special care your pet may need. I pay close attention to their behavior and body language, respect their boundaries, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. For house sitting, I always meet with you and your pet beforehand so we can go over their routine, home instructions, and anything else I should know before the stay.

Thank you very much for everything. The animals seem to be doing great and are very happy. Of course now they see their humans! We are traveling again next month from August 24 through the 28th. I’m sorry the 23rd through the 28th. Would you be available then?

Amanda was great with our two Cats. One of our cats went into hiding at the end of our trip and Amanda stayed lingering just to make sure she got eyes on the cat before leaving. The cats and our house were left exactly as we left it, clean and happy. Thank you Amanda for the great job.

Anna is amazing! She went above and beyond caring for my kitties while I was away. She sent photos, brought in any packages by the door and even swept the floor. She is caring, compassionate, and kind. I am so grateful to have connected with Anna and look forward to her watching my kitties whenever I am away from them.

Noel has been taking care of Jinx for a couple years now and I can tell Jinx looks forward to her visits with giving her his full belly for belly rubs. She's has great communication and sends the best pics. I'm always confident Jinx is in great hands whenever I go on vacation and Noel takes care of him.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
