About: We’ve both been animal lovers our entire lives and would love to care for your pets as a team! We’ve both had cats and dogs our entire lives and currently have two cats of our own. Between the two of us, we have years of hands-on experience caring for pets and understand that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. We know how important it is to feel comfortable leaving your pets in someone else’s care, so we treat every pet like they’re part of our own family. Your pets will get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and care while you’re away! 🐶🐱❤️ Pet care fits naturally into our routine as a team. I work full-time close to home, while Sean’s remote schedule gives us additional flexibility, allowing us to work together to make sure pets receive consistent care and plenty of attention throughout the day. Having two people also gives us extra flexibility for walks, drop-ins, feeding, playtime, and longer visits. We’ll work with your pet’s normal routine and make sure they’re never short on love, attention, or companionship while you’re away! 🐾 When caring for pets in your home, we focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. We’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and any special needs, while giving your pets plenty of love and attention. As a team, we can provide dependable and flexible care while making sure your pets get the individual attention they deserve. We’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect we would our own and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax knowing your pets are happy, safe, and well cared for! 🐾❤️
“Lisa was great with communication and a great help with informing me of heating issues so that I was able to call my plumber on New Years Day to clear up the heating issue . So thankful to Lisa 🥰 I will definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a sitter. Thanks again Lisa for everything.”

About: I grew up surrounded by all different kinds of animals. I currently work as a dog handler and spend my days watching over large packs filled with various breeds, ages and sizes. I have experience in administering medicine, deescalating fights, and even swim lessons. I’m a full time commuter student working on my masters degree. I also have a part time job at a dog daycare that I work one to two days a week at. I would be available for dog walking and drop in visits Tuesdays after 12:30 until 5, and Wednesdays and Thursdays anytime before 3. I am flexible and am able to care for your pet in any way wanted or needed. My pets at home are both free range and crate trained, so I’m comfortable with either option.
“It was such a relief to be able to go on vacation and know our cats weren't just being fed, but truly taken care of. Stacy was very communicative and we could tell she made good friends with our cats - they still ask when shes coming back. She came over in advance to get a lay of the land and meet them and learn all their hiding spots. She even took the litter when she left so we wouldn't have to deal with it. Stacy really was wonderful and knowing our cats were being loved by someone with such great experience while we were away was such a gift!”
About: My love for animals goes beyond being a pet owner. Through my volunteer experience at animal shelters, I’ve gained hands-on experience socializing animals, handling dogs with different temperaments and needs, and administering medication when needed. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and that patience, consistency, and compassion are essential to helping them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Whether your dog is energetic and playful, shy and reserved, or requires extra care and attention, I strive to provide a calm, nurturing environment tailored to their needs. I take pride in being dependable, attentive, and responsible, and I understand the importance of following your pet’s routines and care instructions. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family member is receiving the same love, respect, and attention they deserve while you’re away. Your pet isn’t just a pet—they’re family, and I’ll treat them like one! At the moment, my availability is very flexible. I can provide service at any day and time. I’m local and can travel for clients. In addition, I’m very responsive. I like to make all animals feel at home by providing a relaxed environment. I have a fenced in yard. All animals should be loved and approached with patience.
“Erica took great care of my 3 cats, including one with cancer, when I was away. She went above and beyond by offering to go back and take care of something when I left confusing instructions, which gave me great peace of mind. All looked the way I left it when I returned, too. I highly recommend Erica for your animals’ needs!”

About: I was a hands on member in my own dogs professional training, and I have taken care of friends and family’s dogs of all ages and breeds so there’s really nothing I haven’t seen before. That being said, I am well-versed in the high demand and needs of puppies and can confidently say that I am trained to care for them and all the hurdles that they entail. Having rescued my fur baby as a puppy off of the streets, she’s had her fair share of difficulties. Everyday has been such a blessing to see how far she’s come, and continues to. I have such a firm belief that dogs are truly a man’s best friend, and their greatest companion and deserve all the time and love that they deserve. Just from getting in walks everyday, to intentionally setting time aside to play with them is so important. In my home, I pretty much hang out with my Blaze as much as I possibly can. Every hour that I’m home, my dog is right by my side. Even when leaving the house my Blaze is in the backseat of my car ready for a road trip. I think to be deserving of a dogs love means putting in the time to treat them with the care they require, whether that time goes to an extra long walk, or play time with the ball, or even making sure she’s getting all the nutrients she needs in her food. How I can for my dog is how I intend to care for any future clients dog, with care and time.
“I cannot recommend Victoria enough! She was so wonderful with my cat. My cat is usually very shy around people she doesn't know so I was shocked to see pictures that Victoria sent me of her petting my cat or sitting with her! She clearly has the magic touch. She also dealt with her own emergency one day and still found a way to do a check in. I am so appreciative and will definitely use Victoria again!”

I read animal behavior naturally, staying calm and patient with breeds from Jack Russells to Bloodhounds, Pit Bulls, Shiba Inus, and Golden Retrievers. About: I'll make sure your pet has the best time possible in your absence. I just love seeing happy animals, earning their sacred trust, and helping them become comfortable and confident❤️ I offer training, as well! And I'll gladly watch any pet, big or small. Both on and off of Rover, walking and training dogs is what I do most for work! So, my schedule is constantly changing to ensure every pet gets proper care. My biggest con is that I may be late because of spending extra time with client's pets, but I try to plan for it wherever possible! If a dog needs 10 more minutes, but my time is already up, I'm not just going to leave. I am very respectful of other people's homes, and always will be. I am not currently offering to pet sit in my home, as my family has allergies.
“Jessica is amazing. She is truly very understanding and it’s such a great job with our dog. She sent us pictures of him as she was watching him. She is the best I would highly recommend Jessica.”

About: I love big and small animals and will take care of them as if they were my own. I just graduated college so I have a flexible schedule and have had experience looking after my family and friends pets. I have my own German Shepard so I can handle big dogs, especially for walks. I am a fitness lover so I enjoy going outside and getting exercise, which is great if your dog is high energy! If there are any certain needs your animals requires such as medication, I am comfortable taking care of that. I love animals almost more than humans and will ensure that your pet is loved and cared for no matter what. Thank you so much for taking a look at my profile!
“Hayley was absolutely fantastic with my dogs! From the moment we met, I could tell she genuinely loves animals and knows how to care for them. She kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me total peace of mind while I was away. My dogs were happy and clearly adored her. I highly recommend her and will book with her again!”

“Vinny helped me ensure my pets had great care during a family emergency. I am forever grateful for his prompt help and excellent care, it was such a comfort to know my pets were taken care of and I didn’t need to worry about them at all. Thank you!!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
