Loving Pet Sitter, Works from Home

I've had a love for animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up in a home with cats, dogs and bunnies. As an adult, I've had the pleasure of living with a high energy husky with a huge personality and an adorable yorkie with a personality bigger than he is. In the past several years I have watched/walked dogs/cats/bunnies/snakes/lizards and an array of other animals. I worked for a local wildlife company for the past six years and still help there on occasion. When I first started working for them, I became a licensed wildlife rehabilitator and have helped to rehab a plethora of local wildlife in the past six years. For the past five years I've volunteered at a rescue farm in South Salem. When I am there I do everything from basic animal care to cleaning stalls. Some of the animals that I care for there are ducks, chickens, turkey, emu, horses, goats, pigs, alpaca and a llama. I also have experience with administering medications to many animals from dogs to red tailed hawks and horses. My current job is very flexible, which has allowed me extra time to do things I enjoy. Since, my job is so flexible, it is very easy to cater my schedule around the needs of your fuzzy babies. On most occasions, I am even able to fit in those last minute walks, when you're running later than you thought you would. I take pet safety very seriously. When your pet is with me, they are my main priority and concern, as if they were my own. Because each pet and parent is different, I will also go over any concerns or needs that you have pertaining to your furbaby and their safety.

Elizabeth is a wonderful sitter for our cat Bart. He loves her and she knows how to read his cues and care for him. He never looks sad when we get home. Your pet will be in good hands!

Elizabeth is the only person we trust with our special needs dog. We are so fortunate to have found her!

I'm relatively certain that our girls love Liz and her partner more than us. There is not any amount of treats and toys that equal the time they get at her place while we are on vacation. They are so well taken care of that whilst I spend my vacation thinking of them and missing them, they are forgetting me while they go on walks and play and snuggle with Elizabeth. One of my dogs is a stubborn trouble maker and the other is anxiously dog reactive and she knows exactly how to handle them both with love and kindness. If Elizabeth ever moves, I swear we will sell our house and go where she is so we have the best caretaker ever for our furry potatoes.

Schedule

I do this full time, so I usually have availability. Just to note, I do have a two hour arrival time window for all visits. If you request 1pm. I will arrive in between 12-2pm. The visit will most likely be close to the time you request. But given the nature of the job, animal behaviors, animal emergencies and other factors, the visit may need to be shifted to earlier or later within the arrival time window.

Pets

A typical day

I enjoy many different activities with the pets I am caring for. Whether it be a walk around the neighborhood, playing with tennis balls in the park or a hike on a local trail. I tailor your pets activities to their needs. If you have a large rambunctious dog that needs to get some energy out, we can go to one of the local parks, or if they are dog shy, we can take a hike. If you have a smaller dog who likes to go at a slower pace, I can accommodate that as well.
