I have nearly four years of experience in a veterinary hospital as a kennel technician, where I care for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, breeds, and medical needs. I am comfortable administering oral and topical medications, monitoring for signs of illness or stress, and handling a wide range of temperaments. Outside of work, I have grown up with dogs my entire life and currently have an 8 year old golden retriever of my own. I have cared for many age ranges from senior to a weeks old. I have also had other pets, including a rabbit, so I understand that every animal has unique needs and personalities. My clinical experience, combined with my lifelong love of animals, allows me to provide attentive and reliable care. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, senior, or needs extra patience, I will treat them as if they were my own while you’re away.

I currently have a golden retriever who I love with all my heart. I can do whatever is necessary to care for your pet and have seen many different special instructions at my job. From medications to special diets I have seen a diverse range of special needs that I am well equipped to handle. I am experienced in senior care for pets, exotics, different energy or temperament levels, and many more areas.

Tara was really great with our dog and came by twice a day as agreed on. She also sent daily photos and updates.
Tara did a wonderful job taking care of our two cats while we were away! She provided us with detailed updates and photos every visit and was excellent with communication. Would highly recommend her to anyone!
Tara has been great with my senior dog, Boss. She is very kind, gentle, and patient with him. That is something I really appreciate since his health isn’t great and needs the care. I would definitely recommend her for your doggy needs!

Schedule
I am a full time student during the school year but on breaks I work around 3/4 days a week so I have plenty of time and flexibility to take care of your furry friends whenever you need me to! I do not have a set work schedule and can adapt relatively easily.
