About: Hi! I'm Melissa! A little bit about me. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats. Since the moment I was born, I was raised alongside dogs and cats and at one point in my childhood we had three large breed dogs and 2 cats at once, so fun and crazy! This always nurtured my deep appreciation for animals from an early age. One of our family dogs even had three litters of puppies during my teenage years, giving me hands on experience caring for dogs and puppies of all ages and sizes. Today, I have my own dog in my own family home, a 76 pound English Coonhound rescue from Arkansas. Despite his high energy levels, strength and tendency to pull on the leash, I handle him confidently and independently. I adopted him through Philly Rescue Angels Inc., where I am also an approved foster. Family and friends have relied on me for years from a young age to let out, walk, feed, and play with their dogs whether it be when they need help on short notice or go on an extended vacation. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve had cats throughout my life and have fostered them as well. One of my cats even needed daily insulin injections for diabetes and I always handled that myself. My background has given me a well rounded understanding of animal care, and I take pride in my ability to provide attentive, compassionate, and responsible care for all of your pets! Since I am a nurse, I also understand most medical conditions and medication administration and precautions for pets as well, they're more similar to us than we realize! I am a registered nurse whom only works 3 days per week. I am quite flexible in my schedule and can move around my days easily if requested! I have a fenced in yard. I have a friendly dog to play with your pup! And an extra large crate if you need your pet crated at all. Pets are allowed on furniture in my house as well!
“Our pup Emmy greatly enjoys her walks with Jillian! She is great with our rescue and very responsive in communication. Also gives helpful updates on how Emmy did. Will definitely book again!”

“Marilyn is extremely reliable. She communicates well and my 9 month old puppy loves her. We’ve hired Marilyn for 30 minute walks and she always walks him longer. She’s truly a gem!”

“She was very nice, very well prepared and actually taught me a trick to keep pulling to a minimum. Amazing job. Sven thanks Emily a lot for his wonderful walk.”

About: 2+ years of experience. I’m a dependable and caring sitter with hands-on experience watching both cats and dogs. From energetic pups to laid-back kitties, I enjoy getting to know each pet’s routine and personality. I’m happy to provide updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in great hands. I work from home during the week and have free weekends, and I love to spend my down time checking in, walking, feeding, and spending time with your pets! I prefer to care for pets out of their home (drop-ins, walks around their neighborhood, etc.), ensuring they are comfortable and feel safe with me and their surroundings.
About: What sets me apart is my calm, attentive, and highly dependable approach to pet care. I believe every dog is different, so I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, routine, energy level, and comfort zone rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Some dogs need patience and reassurance, while others thrive with movement, stimulation, and structured exercise. For active dogs, I can also provide longer walks, adventure-style outings, and light jogging when requested and appropriate. My goal is to help pets feel safe, understood, and genuinely well cared for while giving owners peace of mind through clear communication, consistency, and dependable follow-through. Pet care fits naturally into my daily and weekly routine, and I make time for consistent, dependable walks, drop-ins, and visits throughout the week. I am organized, punctual, and take commitments seriously, so you can count on me to show up, stay communicative, and follow through. I enjoy staying active, which makes dog walking a natural fit for me. Whether your dog needs a steady neighborhood walk, a longer outing, or light jogging for extra exercise, I aim to provide care that is reliable, structured, and tailored to your dog’s needs and energy level. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. In a client’s home, I respect your space, follow your care instructions closely, and work to keep your pet’s routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I use secure leashing and careful entry and exit habits, stay alert to my surroundings during walks, and pay close attention to your dog’s behavior, comfort, and energy level. For dogs that enjoy more activity, I can also provide longer walks or light jogging when requested, always in a safe, controlled, and appropriate way based on the dog’s age, condition, and needs. My goal is to provide dependable care, clear communication, and a calm, trustworthy presence so you can feel confident your pet is in good hands.
“I am so relieved to have found someone who was able to connect with my 20 month old 110 lb white Shepard. Kimba has a traumatic history and I have worked really hard to rehab him mentally since adopting him a few months ago. He immediately took to Anthony and put his fear-based aggression aside. Anthony constantly sent me updates with photos and followed all my requests to keep Kimba on his daily routine. I highly recommend Anthony to care for your dog.”

About: I treat every pet as if it were my own. I’ve owed three dogs in the past years , two of which were rescues. I worked at a greyhound shelter in the past. I grew up with a cat as child and always been drawn to animals. My house is pet friendly and is a three story row house with a fenced in yard, on a quiet block. I love taking care of animals and will make sure your pet is treated with love and respect! My dog is a friendly and playful Jack Russell mix who loves his walks. My goal is to provide love and company for your pet when you can’t be with them. Whenever I go to someone’s house with pets, they instantly become my best friend!
About: Hi. My name is April and I always had dogs in my life. I personally own dogs and cats and I love every single one of them. Animals need love and to feel safe. I have experience pet sitting and walking. I know how important it is to give our fur babies everything they need to feel loved and happy. I have personally have given medicines in case you baby needs a little extra love. I love cuddling, playing and just enjoy time with these babies. If you have cats as well as dogs I have no problem taking care of them as well. I also have experience with dogs that are energized like a lab and dogs that have anxiety like my Chihuahua. I am here to help and make sure your babies are well taken care of. I currently work a full time job but I have a flexible schedule so there is plenty of time for playful pups and lovable cats. I do not board animals because of my currently living situation. I also believe it is better for the pets to remain in their own environment for a pet sitting.
About: I have taken care of dogs for about 4-5 years. For neighbors and family friends. They have relied on me to take them out for the bathroom, feed them, give them medicine (if/when needed, take them for walks. I'm currently working for the school district full-time and looking for a part time job while I'm there. A little extra cash doesn’t always hurt here and there. Trying to then move to full time in the summer. Since I can't have dogs in my apartment, I have always stayed at the clients house or popped in to take care of their pet. I'm comfortable with crating the dog. Some dogs that I have taken care of slept in their beds (not in crate) since they were older.
“Laura was on time, took Toby for a nice walk and fed him. After he ate she cleaned his bowl which she didn't need to do (she didn't even need to stay while he ate) but I thought that was nice!”
About: I have taken care of animals my entire life, primarily cats but dogs and fish as well. Most other animals I put extensive research into the care of when considering owning them, and I would be more than happy to use that knowledge to give your animals the best care possible. I am currently working on continuing my education, so having a way to cover my bills that allows me a flexible schedule doing something I love seemed the perfect fit. Raising my own cat, Tabitha, from a kitten to be a very social, outgoing, sweet girl who loves going for harness walks has left me with a healthy appreciation of how well it works if you treat an animal with respect and expect the same. That being said, house rules come first, and I will make sure to enforce them in your absence.
“Jennifer was very accommodating. She sent pictures and updated me before and after Samson's walk. She even squeezed me in for a last minute walk while my trip was delayed. We will definitely be using Jennifer again”

Academy Gardens dog parents share their Rover experiences
Jessica was a great pet sitter! She made sure to schedule a meet & greet beforehand, which I really appreciated. Our dog Wrigley, felt super comfortable around her and I knew I could trust her to take really good care of him while we were out. Jessica followed our instructions perfectly and her communication was stellar. Overall, it was a really great experience. Thank you so much Jessica!
