About: I love dogs, especially the ones that may not be the best walkers and best trained. My 15 year old shiba recently passed and I miss taking walks and caring for him daily. I have also lived with a variety of higher-energy, larger dogs who've needed more help in training and runs. I am available to help if your hours are long or in off times (I do actually work a full-time remote job and am seeking this out because I would love to spend more time with more dogs and dog owners), and would love to spend time with your pup for whatever his or her needs may be (even if that just means keeping treats on me at all times)! About: Hi! I'm Melissa! A little bit about me. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats. Since the moment I was born, I was raised alongside dogs and cats and at one point in my childhood we had three large breed dogs and 2 cats at once, so fun and crazy! This always nurtured my deep appreciation for animals from an early age. One of our family dogs even had three litters of puppies during my teenage years, giving me hands on experience caring for dogs and puppies of all ages and sizes. Today, I have my own dog in my own family home, a 76 pound English Coonhound rescue from Arkansas. Despite his high energy levels, strength and tendency to pull on the leash, I handle him confidently and independently. I adopted him through Philly Rescue Angels Inc., where I am also an approved foster. Family and friends have relied on me for years from a young age to let out, walk, feed, and play with their dogs whether it be when they need help on short notice or go on an extended vacation. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve had cats throughout my life and have fostered them as well. One of my cats even needed daily insulin injections for diabetes and I always handled that myself. My background has given me a well rounded understanding of animal care, and I take pride in my ability to provide attentive, compassionate, and responsible care for all of your pets! Since I am a nurse, I also understand most medical conditions and medication administration and precautions for pets as well, they're more similar to us than we realize! I am a registered nurse whom only works 3 days per week. I am quite flexible in my schedule and can move around my days easily if requested! I have a fenced in yard. I have a friendly dog to play with your pup! And an extra large crate if you need your pet crated at all. Pets are allowed on furniture in my house as well!
“I can't say enough about Christine and her willingness to help and care for my animals. I was so very worried to leave Caesar, my 15 y.o. dog who has hearing and sight issues, at home without me. Christine did her best to make my guys feel comfortable and loved!! My cat, Mahzick feel in love with her .<3 She was very timely each day, with her check-ins, which I noted on the app. and sent me many photos ( which eased my mind) every time she dropped in. My pets looked happy and I know they were!! When I arrived home, I noticed that she left me a "Welcome Back Mommy" note from the pets, on the door. :) She even washed some dishes that I had left in the sink!! SO sweet!! I couldn't be more appreciative of Christine and how she took all of my anxiety away. I had no worries at all. I would definitely have Christine help me again with Caesar and Mahzick. About: I have taken care of animals my entire life, primarily cats but dogs and fish as well. Most other animals I put extensive research into the care of when considering owning them, and I would be more than happy to use that knowledge to give your animals the best care possible. I am currently working on continuing my education, so having a way to cover my bills that allows me a flexible schedule doing something I love seemed the perfect fit. Raising my own cat, Tabitha, from a kitten to be a very social, outgoing, sweet girl who loves going for harness walks has left me with a healthy appreciation of how well it works if you treat an animal with respect and expect the same. That being said, house rules come first, and I will make sure to enforce them in your absence.

I've had a dog all my life until recently (apartment restrictions) and they have been various sizes and breeds. I have also been a dog walker and sitter for a company that gave me experience handling and interacting with shelter and elderly dogs; I also have experience giving oral tablet medication at specified times. I understand that not every dog has come from a happy home and I will put an effort into earning their trust (I've done so with two shelter dogs with severe anxiety and I love them) because I know that it will mean so much in the long run. About: I absolutely love taking care of pet, especially with dogs and puppies. my experience came from taking care of my own pup since I was 10. My skill included potty training/ basic training and teaching them tricks. I enjoy spending time with pets, cuddling with them, and taking long walks. Rosabella was great! I received lots of pictures as part of my rover card each time she checked in on my cat, Roscoe. It was clear from the start that Roscoe was comfortable with her (both from our meet and greet prior to her check ins and in the pictures throughout her time with him). I had no doubt that he was well taken care of while I was away, which is major considering I am a worried cat parent and often need reassurance while away from my cat.
We selected Julie when our normal Rover sitter was no longer available. I don’t have enough good things to say about her. She went above and beyond in every possible way. I felt like our cats were in great hands and I’ll be looking to her the next time we need our boys cared for.
Amber’s commitment to caring for my dogs cannot be overstated. Very few people in her position would have left the comfort of their homes to come out and take care of my dogs. She worked not only with me, but also with my sister, to care for four dogs in very harsh and potentially dangerous conditions due to the weather. Despite my unique situation due to a family emergency, she was incredibly flexible with rescheduling and accommodating adjustments when needed. She was responsive to my concerns throughout her care and even got back to me well outside of what I would consider normal business hours, especially since I was unable to respond during the day. Mind you this was on fairly short notice as well. I cannot recommend Amber enough.
Deresha is great! Feel like I got lucky with her being available. She knows her way around dogs of all breeds and can handle any type trouble your dog may give some one. Trusted her more and more as time went on. You won’t regret hiring Deresha to take care of your little ones, she’s great and is even willing to meet you before you need services to make sure she’s a good fit for your mascots. Deresha is the best!
