About: Hi! I'm Melissa! A little bit about me. Growing up, our family always had dogs and cats. Since the moment I was born, I was raised alongside dogs and cats and at one point in my childhood we had three large breed dogs and 2 cats at once, so fun and crazy! This always nurtured my deep appreciation for animals from an early age. One of our family dogs even had three litters of puppies during my teenage years, giving me hands on experience caring for dogs and puppies of all ages and sizes. Today, I have my own dog in my own family home, a 76 pound English Coonhound rescue from Arkansas. Despite his high energy levels, strength and tendency to pull on the leash, I handle him confidently and independently. I adopted him through Philly Rescue Angels Inc., where I am also an approved foster. Family and friends have relied on me for years from a young age to let out, walk, feed, and play with their dogs whether it be when they need help on short notice or go on an extended vacation. In addition to my experience with dogs, I’ve had cats throughout my life and have fostered them as well. One of my cats even needed daily insulin injections for diabetes and I always handled that myself. My background has given me a well rounded understanding of animal care, and I take pride in my ability to provide attentive, compassionate, and responsible care for all of your pets! Since I am a nurse, I also understand most medical conditions and medication administration and precautions for pets as well, they're more similar to us than we realize! I am a registered nurse whom only works 3 days per week. I am quite flexible in my schedule and can move around my days easily if requested! I have a fenced in yard. I have a friendly dog to play with your pup! And an extra large crate if you need your pet crated at all. Pets are allowed on furniture in my house as well!

About: I have had dogs all my life from the time I was small with my parents to now as a grandmother myself. I have always had 2-3 dogs as I can't seem to say no to a dog that needs a good home. About: I'm a School Counselor with 20+ years experience taking care of others, including my own children, and 30+ years taking care of my own pets. While people are my 'jam', animals are my HEART. I've spent summers grooming dogs and have very few regrets in life - except not pursuing becoming a vet. My life took me in another direction...ANY chance I get I spend it with animals, usually dogs. I walk my neighborhood daily, and would say at least 20% of the time I'm finding a stray dog and returning it to its rightful owner. I can help out with medication administration, nail clipping, etc...and just LOVE spending time cuddling/walking/feeding/taking care of pets, especially dogs. I've trained all of my own pets, including crate training. Pets are where it's AT - now take me to yours and you won't be disappointed! Summers are wide open for me. During the school year, I can be available after 3:30pm daily and up until 7:30pm for drop ins. I’m home most weekends with the occasional soccer game or track meet obligation for my son. I prefer to plan in advance to best meet your pet(s) needs - at least a few days. I have a fenced in yard but am happy to walk your pet. I provided daily oral medication administration for my own 16 year old dog, groomed her, clipped her nails and provided an enormous amount of love and support for her. She was my children's heart. I've owned 4 dogs and 6 cats in my lifetime and enjoyed every single minute of it. In your home, I will care for your babies exactly as I would my own - with care, love and compassion. I will follow any instructions you have and will be happy to help in any other way possible with your pet.

About: Leanna and I have had dogs all of our lives. We have a dog name Gus now. He’s an Australian cattle dog. He’s very active and sweet. We have taken care of a few dogs while their owners were on vacation. We absolutely love it. A dogs unconditional love is the best feeling. You could have the worst day ever but a dog can make you smile for that moment. We are familiar with giving dogs medication. I had a dog that suffered from seizures and I had to medicate her twice a day. Matt works as a nurse full time. 12 hour days 3 days a week. Leanna works full time as well in the medical field.
