6. Anita T.
“Anita is one of the very few I would trust with my dogs. She has extensive experience with XL Bullys and doesn’t discriminate any breed, which makes her a fantastic trusted person for XL Bully owners especially. She truly has a passion and love for all dogs and is a very responsible and serious individual when it comes to caring for dogs.”
7. Steve H.

8. Lijana S.
“Lijanna has looked after our dog Elwood twice. We used to have two dogs but when one passed away it hit Elwood hard and he struggles to be by himself. Lijana cared for him so well, took him out for lots of walks, gave him lots of cuddles and always sent beautiful pictures of him out on his adventures. It was reassuring to know he was being cared for so well. I think he was disappointed when we came home!”

About: I've been a receptionist at veterinary practices for coming up to 8 years now & friends and family have relied on me for housesitting their furry family members. As a part-time online student, I allocate specific time slots throughout the day for essential pet care activities such as feeding, grooming, exercise, and playtime. Additionally, I plan my study breaks strategically to include quality bonding time and activities, which helps both of us relax and rejuvenate. When caring for pets in a pet owner's home, I provide attentive feeding, exercise, grooming, and playtime, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment, while following specific care instructions.

Unfortunately I had to cancel the arrangement through unforeseen circumstances but will definitely rebook.”

About: I have been around working dogs since I was a child. When I was younger I had the ambition of being a veterinary surgeon and so had to gain animal experience to apply for the course. This included farm work, doing multiple weeks at 2 vet's practices and over a year and a half dog walking for the RSPCA. Since moving to Harrogate many years ago, I have walked and looked after 30 + dogs in the area; including house-sitting and drop-in visits. My job requires me to have a current DBS check in place. I am confident with big dogs as well as small ones and would happily meet beforehand to hopefully put your mind at ease. I am free on weekends all day, although do visit family etc on these days but not on a regular basis. I mostly work from home (usual office hours). I can walk the dog before and after work, combined with play and scent work during the day. Usually, if I were lucky enough to look after your dog, this would involve lots of outdoor exercise (providing the dog is able to). I live very close to the Stray in Harrogate, so if needed it would not be far to quickly bring him or her home briefly for a drink or rest. However, I do drive so would be comfortable walking / looking after wherever your home is. Rover now encourages you now to message more than one person, this is a new feature and it isn't necessary, as I do reply quickly. I take great pride in my reviews and the service I offer. I have so much dog-handling experience and lots of common sense!
13. Andrew D.
“Andy has been a godsend for my busy life and my Dorkie just loves him! Andy is reliable, flexible and clearly enjoys being around dogs.”

About: I love the outdoors, and I have always adored dogs as long as I can remember. I am reliable, professional and enthusiastic. I am surrounded by green spaces, perfect for dog walking I am available most weekdays, in both mornings and afternoons. I work from home and walking my dog has been part of my daily routine over the past six years. I can do one hour walks if you prefer. We have a spacious dog-friendly and safe garden. We are a non-smoking family. We have a 1 year old Beagle called Hooper who loves the outdoors. He is not allowed upstairs but is allowed cuddles on the sofa at weekends.
15. Niamh M.
About: I have grown up around dogs since the age of 10. With 2 family cocker spaniels I am used to the craziness that having a dog brings to a household. I no longer live with my family dogs and miss being around them. I have experience with elderly dogs, one of my family dogs died this year at the age of 14 and she needed full time cars for months. We had a litter of puppies when I was younger, so I am experienced with younger dogs as well. I graduated from university 2 years ago and now work from home almost full time (I tend to go into the office once a week, but this is flexible). I would care for your dogs in the same manner you would. Whatever they need I am able to provide. I understand all dogs are different. I love long walks and they can accompany me daily.
16. Sarah H.
“Sarah has been brought up with dogs her entire life. Whilst at home she lived with rescue dogs, who were lurchers. We also had Yorkshire Terriers. Once Sarah left home, she then got her own rescue dog, Missy who was the softest Staffy ever. Missy sadly passed away before Christmas 2022. Sarah has always looked after family dogs, whilst we went on holidays. Sarah would care for other people's dogs like they were her own. Sarah has a caring and compassionate nature. And I've had no doubts in recommending Sarah to anyone who requires their dog looked after in a homely setting.”
17. Laura A.
“Laura was amazing with Bella and with us, very accommodating and gave us updates and pictures every day. She came to meet bella prior to us going away to make us feel better and Bella seemed to love her. Made us feel a lot more relaxed about going away without her and we will be coming to Laura in the future when we next need a dog walker. Would definitely recommend to a friend:)”
18. Isla W.
“Handled my labrador with much love and attention. Really recommend Isla and will be using her in the future for any dog walks and holidays we need our dog looking after for! A+ service, well worth and absolutely lovely.”
19. Georgia H.
About: Hey, I’m Georgia. I’ve been dog sitting since I was 11 years old. I previously worked at a kennels in my village and since have looked after multiple dogs both in my own home and at other peoples homes. I live in the countryside and love to go exploring with my cockapoo Bisto. We love a trip to the seaside and out in the fields. Bisto loves having friends over to play, I am not in a position to get another dog but can offer your dog a companion whilst being in the care of a loyal, loving dog sitter. I am currently working as a primary school teacher so get a lot of holidays in which I’m available to look after your pooch if you are heading a way for a well deserved break or if you just fancy a weekend away. My dog is treated like he is my child. Your dog will be in the exact same position. Your dog will have the freedom to run round in the field and able to snuggle up on an evening. If we are at your home, rest assured your pet and home will be well cared for. It will give me the perfect opportunity to explore some new walks. Your home will be left clean and tidy, bedding removed and if you fancy some bread and milk on return home that can also be arranged!
20. Ilona D.
“Ilona has looked my dog many times now. She is caring and looks after her really well. With lots of exercise given. We get regular photos and videos during the stay. My dog gets so excited once she knows she is going to Ilona’s house! I would always trust her to look after my dog.”
