“Laura is a 22 year old who has always had a love for pets. in our family we have had 3 dogs - a Cockapoo, a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and a German Short Haired Pointer. Laura has been involved with the care and training of these dogs. She has raised and shown mini lop rabbits as well as having owned flemish giant rabbits. Laura is currently the owner of 2 cats. She also has a love of horses, having part boarded a fjord paint cross, where she became proficient with english riding. Laura has currently completed her first year of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program at OVC in Guelph. She worked as a volunteer, animal care attendant and receptionist at a vet clinic for 7 years, where she gained valuable experience handling animals and recognizing behaviours suggesting illness. Laura is definitely a responsible and loving pet owner and would make an excellent pet caregiver. Helene H.”

“It has been a delight to have Joy help us by taking care of our dog when we have not been able to take her with us on our travels. Miyu loves Joy and is so happy and excited to see her when she comes. Joy gives her lots of attention and walks. She follows up on giving medications and with the feeding routine. Often, Miyu does not eat well when we are away, but when Joy is with her, that has not been a problem. Being able to have our beloved dog stay in our home and have a trusted caregiver come and stay with her has been so valuable to us and helps us to enjoy our time away without worries.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals most of my life, sitting for neighbors and friends. I have done boarding for dogs and worked for a dog walking company, I love taking care of animals!! I am currently working part time so I have lots of time during the day to stop in or stay over night. I am very flexible! We have a few pets at my home right now which I have been taking care of for years in a safe and trusted environment.
