About: Hi, I’m Ella! I have 5 years of hands-on pet care experience ranging from small, fluffy companions to large, energetic dogs and gentle seniors.I am the proud owner of a 3-year-old Maltipoo, so I am very comfortable with daily routines like feeding, walking, regular brushing, bathing, and even teeth cleaning! Recently, I’ve also looked after a diverse pack of three dogs together—including two large 4-year-old brothers and a sweet 10-year-old senior. This taught me how to balance different energy levels and make sure every dog gets the exact care, exercise, and attention they need. I am fully available all day on weekends and during weekday evenings (after 5:00 PM / 8:00 PM). I have reliable transportation during these hours, making me the perfect fit for your weekend trips, dinner-time feedings, or late-night check-ins! My Personal Pet Care Philosophy:I provide comprehensive, attentive care tailored to each pet's unique routine. For my own companion, this includes structured 30-minute daily walks, engaging indoor games for mental stimulation, regular feeding schedules, and essential hygiene maintenance like bathing and oral care. Above all, I prioritize deep companionship and plenty of affection so pets always feel safe and loved. My Approach to Client Care:When managing multiple pets, I excel at diversifying my attention to meet every animal's individual personality and age-related needs. I actively engage and burn off energy with high-strung dogs, provide a calm and reassuring presence for relaxed pets, and deliver the gentle, patient care required for seniors. No matter the pack dynamic, I ensure every pet receives their proper meals, routine care, and focused individual attention.
“Linda took great care of our dog Georgie and our home. She communicated with us throughout her stay and made us feel very comfortable leaving our dog and home in her hands. We would definitely recommend her and would book her services again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Melanie, a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). Caring for animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, and my very first job was at a dog kennel. That experience opened the door to working in an animal hospital, where I realized veterinary medicine was exactly where I belonged. I went on to earn my diploma as a Veterinary Technologist and have since worked in several small-animal clinics as well as emergency hospitals. I’ve cared for animals of every size and temperament, and I’ve built strong technical skills through hands-on work in anesthesia, surgery, patient care, and fast-paced emergency situations. I have a genuine passion for animal care and the expertise to support pets with both basic and advanced needs. Whether your pet requires medication administration, injections, subcutaneous fluids, or just a loving and attentive companion, I’m here to help. Your pet’s comfort and well-being will always be my top priority. I currently work full time, so my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. I have access to a reliable vehicle and hold my G license. As a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT), I uphold a high standard of ethics and care that aligns with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). I’ve grown up with all kinds of pets and truly understand how important they are to your family. I’ve also house-sat for several families, and my goal is always to respect your space and leave it even better than I found it.
About: Since I was born, my family has owned dogs. Growing up, I had two big dogs, a Husky, Collie mix names Fisher and German Shephard, Rottweiler mix named Sam. Our next pup was a mutt named Bolt that we had rescued from the Highway up in Northern Muskoka. She was a small dog with a Boxer, Pug and Terrier mix. It wasn't until 2016 when I saved my first cat from being hit by a car, Mango, that I was fully taking care of my onw pet. To date, we now have a Husky Australian Shephard puppy named Luna, and Mango and another little black kitty named Jolene. I also live with a Rottweiler Lab mix named Poppy, who is such a sweetie, and a crazy ginger kitten named Hippo. I am well versed in dog and cat handling, and will take extra care and time with your pets. There is no limit to the amount of love they will receive while in my care! In my house currently, we have three cats and a dog. I would say that pet care is a major priority in my day. Feeding, walking, cleaning up after and caring for our babies is absolutely part of my daily life. I will ensure your pets are handled with the highest professional care. They will have a constant eye on them so long as I am caring for them. They are my top priority and I will ensure that they are safe during walkings, feedings, play and cuddle time. I take pet enrichment very seriously and will ensure your pet is sleepy at the end of the day.

Juliet was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! She was reliable, caring, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving them in her care. It was such a relief knowing Ellie and Wrex were being looked after by someone who genuinely cared about them and followed their routine. We came home to two happy, well-cared-for dogs and a tidy house. We would absolutely trust Juliet with them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and loving pet sitter. Thank you so much, Juliet! ❤️🐾

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Paris maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Paris walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Paris choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 83% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
