“Sherry was reliable, attentive and a good communicator. She watched my two cats for a week and absolutely no issues. My cats were happy with my return but would have been just as happy if it was Sherry who greeted them on the last day instead of me!”

“If I could give Cassidy 6 stars, I would 🧡 She's punctual, flexible with requests and scheduling changes, responsive to messages .... and the dogs and cat were so relaxed when I got home! I would definitely recommend Cassidy to anyone 🙌”
“Kristina was absolutely wonderful. This was the longest time I have ever left my kitties and she thoughtfully put together a very detailed report card for each day she came she was even thoughtful enough to bring my babies a Christmas toy 😁 we will definitely be returning to her!”

“Robin was absolutely fantastic! This was my first time leaving Casey alone, and she kept me informed with daily photos and detailed updates. She ensured Casey had food, scooped the litter box daily, and added some play time. I highly recommend Robin and will definitely be booking again!”

About: Hi there! I’m Melanie, a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). Caring for animals has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm, and my very first job was at a dog kennel. That experience opened the door to working in an animal hospital, where I realized veterinary medicine was exactly where I belonged. I went on to earn my diploma as a Veterinary Technologist and have since worked in several small-animal clinics as well as emergency hospitals. I’ve cared for animals of every size and temperament, and I’ve built strong technical skills through hands-on work in anesthesia, surgery, patient care, and fast-paced emergency situations. I have a genuine passion for animal care and the expertise to support pets with both basic and advanced needs. Whether your pet requires medication administration, injections, subcutaneous fluids, or just a loving and attentive companion, I’m here to help. Your pet’s comfort and well-being will always be my top priority. I currently work full time, so my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. I have access to a reliable vehicle and hold my G license. As a Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT), I uphold a high standard of ethics and care that aligns with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT). I’ve grown up with all kinds of pets and truly understand how important they are to your family. I’ve also house-sat for several families, and my goal is always to respect your space and leave it even better than I found it.
“Colleen came to feed our two cats, one of which is a rescue and is very timid. Both cats came out to see her when she arrived which is amazing! We were very happy with Colleen’s service and would recommend her. Very reliable, polite and professional!”

“Sarah was great and very personable. I was a little worried that my shy cat wouldn’t welcome her but boy was I wrong, he absolutely loved it. Will definitely book again in the future.”

About: As a pet parent in my own home, I’ve had the privilege of caring for a unique group of beloved dogs and cats. My family includes two cats with specialized health needs, a large Lab mix with hip dysplasia and allergies, and a Border Collie who struggles with anxiety. It can feel like a zoo at times, but I genuinely love caring for them and ensuring each of their individual needs is met with patience, attention, and compassion. My schedule allows me the availability to take jobs most of day, Monday - Friday from 6am to 4pm. This allows me to work owners in with last minute needs as well. I have experience and am very comfortable with walking various sized breeds and training level in city neighborhoods or trails. Comfortable with giving medication, bathing and feeding. Love spending time with animals and want to ensure they are comfortable and happy.
About: I've always loved animals and have had many dogs, some cats and small animals in my life. I treated them all like the king and queens that they deserve to be and would treat yours the same. I like to sleep with animals in my bed and spoil them as much as you will allow me- if you have specific rules for your animal I will follow them. I want the pets to feel completely comfortable and for you to know that they are in good hands when you have to go away. I try to keep my dogs mentally active as well as physically active and I would hope to do the same for your pets. I babysat my neighbours cats for 20 years while they went away for weeks at a time. The cats loved me. I always make as much time for my pets or the pets I’m caring for. When you hire me, I will be devoting and doting on your animal. I’ve had rescue dogs all my life. They are either unfriendly with people or other animals. I’ve never had one of my dogs attack before. I’m always cautious on walks and in my surroundings. I always keep my dogs leashed for their safety and comfort.
About: I have taken care of a variety of pets my whole life as well as taking care of others. I have owned two dogs, 2 hamsters, a rabbit and many fish. I am very personable with each pet and make sure they are fully taken care of. In my experience I have walked, house sat and fed dogs based on their own needs and administer medicine . I am currently only working part time and am seeking a second job to create more income. I am very flexible and would love to help! I can easily take care of any animal depending on their needs. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
