“Emma provided house sitting for my dog for a night, and I couldn’t be more pleased. She stopped by ahead of time even though it was a pretty last minute booking to meet my dog and make sure it was a good fit, and allow my dog to familiarize with her. My dog took to her immediately, which isn’t the most common as my dog can be a little standoffish with people the first time. During that time Emma was lovely to chat with, and my dog just wanted to play with her the entire time. Over the evening she watched her, Emma provided photos and videos of how things were going, and updates on behaviour, feedings, and potty breaks. Even went back to turn some lights on for me after I failed to mention that request earlier. Emma also left my home just as she found it, which was very kind. Would absolutely recommend her for your animal care needs.”

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs since I was six years old. I’ve had all types of dogs. My first was a Golden Retriever, then a Doberman, a, Shitzhu, a pitbull, and I currently have two 8-yr old Australian Shepherds. I’ve also had the pleasure of watching, training, feeding, playing, walking, hiking, checking in on many of my friends, family and neighbours dogs over the years. I’ve also had experience with shepherds, Chihuahuas, American bulldogs, and Dalmatians. I’m currently working part-time so I will be available most days before 10am and after 4PM. Otherwise, on weekends, I will be completely available for services. Calm and respectfully, I usually take them out for a good walk to get some energy out of them and then I like to feed and then play with them.

About: I am the go-to pet sitter for my friends and family! I have lots of experience caring for cats and dogs, and am ready to administer medication, clean, and adhere to specific diets. I am a musician and actor, and mostly work in the afternoon and evening, so in the daytime and late evening I am free to take care of your pet! I work to build trust with animals, and am careful to adhere to their boundaries. I offer compassion and respect, letting them become comfortable and feel safe with me.

About: Since as long as I can remember I have loved all animals. I have owned and grown up with many different animals and dogs all my life. Owned a few different dog breeds from a Jack Russell to a Great Dane. I currently own 2 senior Ridgebacks which are my precious babies. Growing up with dogs all my life has aloud me to gain the experience, patience and confidence to teach basic training commands and read body language fairly well. I also had the privilege of volunteering at a non profit dog rescue program where I was in charge of walking, feeding, providing medication and keeping the area clean. Animals deserve the best love and care♡ I am currently working a morning shift but will be available in the evenings Monday to Friday after 6 PM or weekends any time! 🙂 I can keep your furry pet company, play in the yard, take them for walks or even load them in the car and take them to a trail near by! Even cook a special meal! Anything they are needing to keep our furry friend happy🙂

About: I grew up with Moose, our family's Shar-Pei. The breed tends to be wary of strangers, and watching Moose slowly warm up to visitors taught me to let a new dog come to me when they're ready. I've also walked dogs for neighbours and friends, and I'm comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. On walks, my phone stays in my pocket unless I'm taking photos for your update. That way, I spot a dropped chicken bone before your dog does. If your dog tenses up at an oncoming dog, a skateboard, or a goose, I cross the street or head the other way before it turns into barking or lunging. I also adjust each walk to your dog, whether they need a slow stroll with lots of sniffing or a brisk pace to burn off energy. I'll stick to your rules too: the commands you use, how many treats are allowed, and whether the couch is off-limits. I'm on a lighter course load this term, so apart from a few classes, I'm available 7 days a week, 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. That means I can walk your dog at the same time every weekday while you're at work, so they know what to expect. I'm also around for last-minute walks when you're running late, and I can usually do a meet & greet within a day or two of hearing from you. I keep my Rover calendar up to date, so if it shows me as available, I am. If my class schedule changes next term, I'll give you plenty of notice. At our meet & greet, I'll learn your dog's routine, how they are with other dogs, what spooks them, and who to call in an emergency, including your vet. On walks, I make sure your dog can't back out of their collar or harness, keep them leashed the whole time, and always pick up after them. They only greet other dogs if you're fine with it and the other dog's owner agrees. On hot days, I test the pavement with the back of my hand to make sure it's safe for paws, bring water, and keep walks short and shaded. When it's bitterly cold or icy, I shorten walks and stick to cleared paths. In your home, I block the doorway when I come and go so your dog can't dart out, and I never bring anyone else inside. On drop-ins and house sits, I keep meals, walks, and bedtime on your dog's usual schedule. When I'm staying over, I never leave them alone longer than we've agreed. Before I leave, I wipe mud or road salt off their paws, refill the water bowl, latch any gates, and lock up. After every visit, you'll get photos and a quick update, including bathroom breaks. If anything seems off, like limping or an upset stomach, I'll let you know right away.

About: Neighbours, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. Very responsible and pet loving. Perfect opportunity for me spend time taking care your fur babies since I don’t have my own. I would love to play and take care of your pets. Walking whenever needed and lots of cuddles if they allow it. Available all week I have no pets in the home so your pet will be getting all my love and attention. I have a large fenced in backyard and enjoy long walks so outside time will not be missed.

So as long as the pet owners communicate their needs well in advance, I don't believe there will be a scheduling problem. I work 7 days a week, so my schedule is pretty the same year-round. I also have a car for driving long distances if needed. 1. Keep them safe and clean. 2. Meet basic requirements, including on-time feeding and put-into activities. 3. Enhance with playing and interacting with pets to build trust and relationships 4. Extra attention to ensure pets are happy and calm.

About: I have 2 dogs of my own! I was able to care for and train the 9 puppies they had. I have also taken care of senior dogs, cats of all ages, and kids My routine revolves around pet care without question. When I wake up I make sure to take my dogs for a walk, given their medication, and food. The pets come before anything else I make sure there is clear communication between the client and I. Many pets have their own schedule and I will follow that. I believe with communication, there is nothing that could go wrong.
