1. Asha C.
“Asha is great at tending to pups and always made me feel aware and connected to what they were doing or how my pup was feeling. While traveling, Asha asked for all the details about my pups needs, wants, and comfort and respected those bounds throughout her stay. Bonus benefit is she made friends with Asha’s pup Carl! Appreciate all the pictures, updates, and glad she had a great stay!”
2. Lily B.
“Lily is amazing!!! I was a little nervous to have someone care for my senior dog at first. But Lily was so so sweet and even sent me updates/ pictures. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a pet sitter. She was so friendly!”
3. Alexa M.
“I had a great experience with Alexa! Quick replies and clear communication throughout the whole process. She also sent pics during the stay which were appreciated. My dog seemed very comfortable with her and came back tired from lots of play. Highly recommend for a seamless Rover experience.”
4. Susan O.
“Susan was great! I felt very comfortable leaving my dogs with her and she sent many updates. They came back happy and tired! Thank you Susan!”
5. Manuela Diaz H.
“Manuela was amazing!! She was so understanding of the anxiety someone will feel leaving their pup with a new person and took whatever steps to make me feel more comfortable. We met both virtually and in-person (to introduce Moose and her dog, Morgan) before I dropped him off for the weekend. She sent me lots of pictures and videos throughout the weekend of him playing and cuddling with Morgan. She also was very flexible and helpful when I needed to rearrange my plans due to a travel issue. I'd give 6 stars if I could :)”
6. Rose V.
“Rose was all I could have hoped for and more! She made my first Rover booking experience very enjoyable. Will definitely book with her again in the future. Thanks for taking such great care of my babies!”
7. Noelle & Angel H.
“Noelle and Angel are the best! ❤️ Our pup Rue can be nervous around people and I wasn't sure how she would handle her first time away from home, but she quickly warmed up to them and became best buds! They also have a large backyard that is perfect for zoomies and sniffing around. Noelle and Angel treated Rue with such love and I got lots of pics and videos of Rue living her best life. They are also very responsible and communicative. I'll definitely book them for any future dog sitting needs!”
8. Catherine E.
“Catherine and Nelson are so fantastic with our dog! They spend tons of time planting with him, and they are very sweet with him. I couldn’t recommend more!”
9. Lisa B.
“Lisa was amazing! Our dogs struggle with some separation anxiety and don’t fall in the "easy" category and she took them on with such a loving approach. She was patient with them and very communicative with us as owners. We are so very grateful to have met Lisa!! 5+++++ stars.”

12. Sarah L.
“Sarah is amazing and was such a great sitter for our pup while we went on vacation. My Toto loved getting to go on walks and get extra attention while we were away! Will definitely reach out to Sarah next time we need someone to watch Toto!”
13. Rafa A.
“We had an incredible experience booking with Rafa! Our sweet girl is 12-years old and we were new to the Austin area; finding the right person to care for her while we were gone was stressful to say the least. Rafa was extremely responsive and encouraged a meet + greet at his apartment so we felt comfortable with him. He was very understanding of Sasha's limitations given her age and tailored the weekend to her preferences - laying outside on the balcony and short walks outside several times a day. He sent multiple photos everyday to let us know how she was doing and was very flexible on pickup when our plane was delayed home. I really want to gatekeep Rafa so we'll always have him, but everyone should know how great he is!”
14. Melissa M.
“Melissa is amazing! Leaving your pup behind when going on vacation is never easy but our dog LOVES being with Melissa and Mika. She’s communicative and reliable. We will always be using Melissa when we need to go out of town.”
15. Jean-Paul & Andrea H.
“We got so many updates and were happy and comfortable leaving our pup with Andrea and Jean-Paul. We will be leaving on our honeymoon soon and Scout will again be with them. This will be the longest we have been away from our pup but we know we can vacation with some peace.”
16. Regan & James R.
“Regan and James did a wonderful job taking care of my boy while I was away! He can be anxious in new spaces and they were very patient and sent me many pictures. Thank you both so much!”

Why do dog owners love Austin?
The capital of Texas, the 11th most populous city in the United States, and the home of keeping things weird, Austin is a unique and vibrant city that attracts people from all over the country. Home to the Texas State Capitol, the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum, the University of Texas at Austin, and the Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium, it's got plenty of great landmarks to enjoy. And with tons of great parks, amazing Tex-Mex and Texas barbecue restaurants - plus over 1,000 operating food trucks - and an eclectic live music scene, Austin is a destination city not just to visit but to live in, especially for dog owners and pet parents. This city of 931,830 people regularly shows up on lists of the most dog-friendly cities in America and features great dog boarding options like Rover available throughout the city.
Why choose Rover dog boarding in Austin?
In-home dog boarding in Austin is a great option for most dog owners. With Rover, instead of going to an unknown large facility, your dog stays in the comfort of your dog sitter's home. Your dog gets to spend one-on-one time with a loving sitter who'll treat them like part of their family.
What are some great parks in Austin for dog walks?
Austin is absolutely full of great dog parks. With at least 16 parks to visit with your pup, there are acres and acres of green space and off-leash areas to explore and enjoy. Parks like the 13-acre Red Bud Isle feature a wide expanse of open area where your dog can play with other dogs and swim off leash. The park at Mills Pond, accessible from the north end of Wells Port Drive or off Bratton Lane, offers a chance to take your dog for a lovely stroll and watch the locals do some fishing in the early morning or evening. Also, be sure to check out Auditorium Shores (between the former Palmer Auditorium and the shores of Lady Bird Lake), and not just for the doggy showers after your pup takes a dip. The park is also a place for outdoor concerts, and you can even find a memorial statue of Stevie Ray Vaughan.
What Austin neighborhoods are good for dogs and pet parents?
There's so much to enjoy in Austin, including a quirky collection of neighborhoods, each with their own appeal. Take Central Austin neighborhood Hyde Park, which dates back to 1891 and is considered Austin's first suburb. You're more likely to find cute bakeries - including the Eater.com-approved Quack's 43rd St Bakery, home to massive cookies and incredible cakes - and nice neighbors than noisy bars or loud nightlife there. Same for Barton Hills, which might just be the best place in Austin to raise a dog. Bordering Lady Bird Lake, the neighborhood features Zilker Metropolitan Park and tons of lush green spaces to spend time out in nature with your pup. Barton Creek runs through the whole neighborhood, lending a feeling of always being out in nature. You can check out an authentic corner of Austin in Clarksville. West of downtown Austin, right near the always entertaining 6th Street and bordering the Johnson Creek Greenbelt, it's home to Treaty Oak, a state landmark as well as the first Whole Foods Market, originally opened in 1979 as the Clarksville Natural Grocery.
