“Jennifer took wonderful care of my dog while I was away, and I really appreciated how attentive and communicative she was throughout the stay. She sent daily updates, checked in about any concerns, and was very thoughtful when my dog didn’t want to eat the first day — which is normal for her in new environments. I also appreciated the time she took to have us come over beforehand so we could meet her and her dogs and make sure it was a good fit. She was responsive, caring, and clearly experienced with dogs. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her and would absolutely recommend her to others.”

“Thank you so much for taking care of grizzly. I loved all the updates and pictures while we were away. He looked like he was totally comfortable and happy in your home.”

“Jasmine was such an excellent sitter! It was clear she really cared for my puppy and treated her as if she were her own puppy. She was very attentive and replied quickly to any questions or concerns I had. Highly recommended!”

“Brooke did an excellent job taking care of my dog, Bruno. He’s a large German Shepherd and can be pretty anxious in new situations, but she handled him with patience and care. She clearly knows what she’s doing and took extra time to make sure he was comfortable. She also kept me updated throughout the day, which I really appreciated. Everything went smoothly, and I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with him again.”

“There aren’t words to describe how happy we were with Elizabeth and the care she provided our Beau… she treated him as if he was hers and I couldn’t have asked for more… The amount of pictures and updates she provided was absolutely fantastic and so so so greatly appreciated! I didn’t worry about him in the slightest while we were away, just missed him! Thank you so much Elizabeth ❤️”

“Linda was great! She was happy to watch our dog on relatively short notice. She communicated well with us while we were away, and sent many wonderful pictures and videos. Our pup came home happy and exhausted, proof of a great time away!”

“Emma was great with communication and I felt comfortable leaving Avena in her care. Clearly Avena had a great day because she’s been napping on and off since I picked her up 😂 thank you, Emma, for taking care of my girl ☺️”

“Miranda and her husband took great care of our buddy overnight while we took a trip. They provided updates and pictures throughout the day. I 100% would recommend Miranda and look forward to having our dog stay with her again”

“Ashley was so accommodating by taking Piper with only 24 hr notice. Awesome communication and met us at the door as we walked up to her house at drop off. Piper was spoiled during the day with walks and lots of love. We were updated with pictures and videos during the day. Highly recommend Ashley and we will be contacting her when our next appointment is scheduled at Mayo Clinic.”

“Jade took great care of Luna and Casper Kitty while they boarded with her. Both cats were comfortable and well looked after the entire time. She communicated with me daily and sent photos, which was so reassuring. I felt very confident leaving them in her care and would happily book Jade again!”

“We are beyond happy with Stevie’s stay. It felt like we were leaving her with family, not just boarding her at a strangers house. She was spoiled and loved on and it showed through the pictures that we got while away!”

“Dondee is wonderful! She’s so friendly and welcoming and wants the best for you and your pet. She was sending me pictures and videos throughout my girls stay and I loved it. Definitely will be using her services again :)”

“The dogs were well taken care of. Multiple updates with pictures, and they were happy and tired when I picked them up! Trevor and Alexa were super accommodating with pickup and drop off.”

About: I have always been an avid animal-lover. From childhood into adulthood, I have owned and cared for a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, birds & fish. My family & I currently share our home with two dogs, a bearded dragon, a Russian tortoise, & a ball python. I have several years of professional work experience in animal care (zoo, kennel care, walking, basic grooming) and wildlife / parks & recreation—both of which are relevant. I enjoy the outdoors and keeping all of our furry (& scaly) friends happy. I will board dogs, small mammals, reptiles & birds in my home! Upon request, I can do drop-in visits for cats or exotic animals within a 15 mile radius. I am currently a stay-at-home mom & so my schedule allows me to be at home majority of the time. If I need to leave the house, it’s never for more than a couple of hours. I have a large four-story home, which provides amble space for pets to play or to be separated if need be. I utilize crates for dogs who need or prefer it. Our yard is unfenced, so I use slip leads and tie-out cables for potty time.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Zumbro Ridge Estates
Very thankful to have stumbled across Kyle’s Rover page. He and his family are all incredibly sweet and adore animals. I think their young boys, especially, did an excellent job tackling Rio’s border collie energy. Rio was also able to play with Kyles’ family dog and another boarding dog during his stay. Kyle was a reliable communicator and flexible with me when my travel plans changed. I appreciated that he sent me daily updates and pictures while I was away. Hope to book with him again!

Our dog had such a great stay with Jennifer! She was great about sending photos and updates and was so accommodating and understanding when we had to make some time changes to our booking. We could tell that our dog had a blast with her and we will definitely be booking with her again!

Ashley was so accommodating by taking Piper with only 24 hr notice. Awesome communication and met us at the door as we walked up to her house at drop off. Piper was spoiled during the day with walks and lots of love. We were updated with pictures and videos during the day. Denielle was great to work with when coordinating Kona's stay. She was very responsive and organized. After meeting her and seeing the large fenced in backyard I knew Kona was in good hands. Highly recommend Denielle for boarding. Kona had fun playing with her two dogs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Zumbro Ridge Estates home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Zumbro Ridge Estates.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Zumbro Ridge Estates sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
