Matt let them roam just like at home, cleaned up a puppy mess, and gave me awesome updates! I was also new to the Rover process and thought I had booked him last month but hadn’t, and he was flexible and understanding.”

About: A vacation for your pup ❤️ All pets in my care become part of my family! 10 minutes from Rochester- Flexible with most last minute requests! ——————————————— I have been caring for dogs for over 10 years, beginning at a young age, and it has truly become a passion of mine. I have experience administering medications, accommodating specialized diets, and providing attentive care for all dogs and those with unique needs. —————— I share my home with two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love welcoming new furry friends. My home features a fully fenced backyard that connects directly to the house, providing a safe and convenient space for supervised play and outdoor time. —————— In addition, I have access to a spacious 6-acre fenced area at my family’s farm, located about 15 minutes away, where dogs can safely run, explore, and enjoy extra exercise. —————— I understand that every dog has a different personality and comfort level. For pups who prefer a quieter environment or more personal space, I’m happy to provide separate playtime and potty breaks. Dogs are welcome to sleep in bed with me and my dogs if they enjoy the company, but I also provide cozy, designated spaces throughout my home for dogs who prefer their own quiet resting area. —————— If your dog is crate-trained or prefers a crate for sleeping or downtime, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. —————— My goal is always to create a safe, comfortable, and loving environment so that your pet feels right at home while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet your furry friend and welcome them into the family! I have two other dogs at home that love to have furry friends join them! Play time is essential and we love to spend time outside! -Schedule- I work mostly overnight shifts, which often works very well for dogs staying in my home. Nighttime is typically when most dogs naturally settle in and sleep, so the house remains calm and quiet overnight. When I return home in the morning, I spend time with the dogs before getting some rest myself. My daytime rest is usually broken up throughout the day, which allows for plenty of opportunities for: • Outdoor time • Play and exercise • Check-ins with each dog • Snuggles and relaxing time together Dogs are cared for throughout their stay, and I always make sure they have time to burn energy, relax, and feel comfortable in the home. I have backyard is fully fenced that is connected to my house. My pets are allowed to sleep in my bed and they are allowed on all furniture. That is the same for your pets! If you prefer to not have them be on furniture I will try my very best to keep that from happening. -Crates & Personal Space- If your dog is crate trained, bringing their crate can be very helpful. Many dogs feel more comfortable having a familiar safe space available while adjusting to a new environment. Crates may be used for: • Rest time • Overnight sleeping (depending on the dog) • Short quiet breaks if needed This helps ensure that all dogs staying in the home remain comfortable and safe.

About: I’ve grown up with all kinds of dogs and cat my whole life. I currently have 1 cat and 2 small dogs in my house who get along and also have their own space when needed! I do work during the day but I’m usually available before/after and on weekends. My mom does live with me and she works from home so she is able to help out during the day with bathroom times. I’m willing to host animals overnight if they seem like a good fit! My dogs have always used an invisible fence but any visiting dogs will be on a leash unless told otherwise. Dogs typically get 5+ bathroom breaks a day and are encouraged to go outside for a good 10 minutes each time. Pets are allowed on the furniture and bed, because they’re considered family. Cats are typically left in the (finished/liveable) basement separate from the dogs, unless the cat wants to venture upstairs then be my guest.

About: Plenty of attention and affection to give you four-legged family member. Quiet, gravel road walks and giant yard to play in. Or comfortable space for R&R. Either way, or both, your pet will be right at home! An adult is home during most hours of the day. Evenings, older kids will be home as well. Outside time in all weather is important to our family. Your pet would be the only animal in the home. We have an indoor/outdoor cat that will surely prefer outdoor during dog boarding:) Able to accommodate different feeding schedules. Your pet will have outdoor time multiple times per day. No fenced in areas.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.

96% of sitters in Hammond can provide daily exercise during dog boarding stays. Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, this may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.

During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hammond home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Hammond.

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Hammond. On Rover:

  • 93% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

You and your Hammond sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Adding another pup to the pack? Most sitters and walkers offer a reduced rate for additional dogs. You’ll find these exact rates listed under the "Services" tab on any sitter's profile. Since every dog is unique, final pricing may vary depending on the level of care required.
