About: Hi, I’m Justina — a dedicated animal caregiver with extensive experience in walking, training, and caring for dogs of all kinds. I’ve worked hands-on with dogs of every temperament, including reactive dogs who need extra patience and structure. I volunteered as an apprentice with the Humane Society, where I focused on dog training and behavior, giving me a strong foundation in canine communication and handling. I currently own two amazing dogs, including a senior dog with extensive arthritis, so I understand the unique care and compassion older pets need. I’ve fostered dogs of all breeds and ages, from high-energy puppies to seniors needing mobility support. I’ve also nursed parvo puppies, gaining valuable experience with medical aftercare and fragile animals. I feel 100% confident caring for pets of all ages, whether it’s a tiny kitten or a graying, slow-moving senior dog. With a deep understanding of dog behavior, a calm approach, and a heart for animals of every stage of life, I’m here to give your pets the care, patience, and attention they deserve. Whether they need structured exercise, medical support, or just a little love while you're away, I’ve got them covered. My schedule is very flexible, especially during the summer months when I do not work. I’m an early riser, so I’m available for morning walks, drop-ins, and training sessions—as well as midday and evening care. Whether you need a consistent weekly routine or last-minute help, I’m here to make things easier for you and your pet. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing loving, patient care tailored to their unique needs and personality. I’m always respectful of the owner’s home, belongings, and established boundaries to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for everyone. My goal is to help the pet feel safe and relaxed by following their regular routines as closely as possible and creating a calm, positive environment while I’m there.

About: I have had many pets through the years, in childhood and as an adult. I recently became a foster for Ruff Start, and have helped stray cats feel comfortable in-home to prepare for adoption. I'm available evenings and weekends during the school year. In the summer months, my schedule greatly opens up and I am available during the day as well. I have a fenced in yard if I host pets here, as well as a bathroom that can keep animals separated. If I come into homes, I can clean litter boxes, feed, take for walks, and give oral medications. I trim my cat's nails and an willing to try on client's cats if they'd like.

“Can’t recommend Andrea enough! She’s great with our dogs (who can be a lot), and sends adorable updates. A true dog lover! Knowing she is coming has given us so much peace of mind!”

About: I have had dogs for 24 years, cats for 16. My husband and I have fostered to adoption nearly 60 cats and dogs. After struggling to find quality affordable boarding care for our pets we have decided to open our home to others in the same situation. We have cared for puppies and kittens from 6 weeks up and have fully fenced yard. Our house has kids and pets but we are able to separate as needed. One adult works from home 3 days a week so it would be rare for your animal to be alone. Please just reach out and ask us questions to see if we are good fit for your pet to feel comfortable while you are gone. Josh currently works from home Monday and Friday. Jen and Josh are both home on weekends so there is plenty of time for play time or walks in our schedules. We also have a 10 and 13 year old available to help with extra playtime or attention needs. We do have experience with giving oral medication and eye ointments but not injections. We have a fully fenced yard and a 3 house levels to keep pets safe as needed. We have 2 very friendly dogs to keep your pet company but if they prefer to be alone there is enough space to keep them separate. We also have 2 cats that are very friendly to other animals but they can also be kept separate if needed. Our home has 3 kids (2 older and 1 baby) that have been taught to give animals respect and space. If you are comfortable with them interacting with your pet they can help or we can make sure there is only adults interacting with your pet.

About: No matter the breed or age of the dogs I have cared for, one thing remains the same - the love and affection they always share. I have over 24 years of experience caring for family dogs, and I really enjoy providing excellent care for other families' furry loved ones. I work remotely full-time from my home and am also able to work full-time from your home with Wifi. I am available to care for your pup(s) any day of the week. I have a large yard and will personally walk your dog in the yard as often as needed with a leash. I am available to take your dog for longer walks at least twice a day. I have a large indoor crate and dog beds if needed. I also have an outdoor kennel that is covered and shaded and has a dog house if your pup prefers to spend some time outside in good weather.

About: As a farm kid and animal lover, pet care is second nature. I showed livestock in high school and continue to train and handle dogs in AKC. I have thus established extensive experience with a wide range of intensive needs and emergency situations. I prioritize personalized, attentive, and loving care for my animals and I promise to uphold this standard for others. I look forward to working with you throughout my stay to provide updates and ensure the best care possible. I am a Grinnell College student with a vehicle on campus. I am willing to check in on pets between classes as needed, in the evening, overnights, and on weekends. I know that a change in caretaker is a huge stress on an animal by itself. I will do everything I can to minimize any other stresses on the animals by maintaining their routines and environments. I also value consistent communication throughout the stay because owners are the foremost experts on their animals. From experience, I know how far an update and a picture from home can go to make a vacation more enjoyable.

About: My family has had multiple pets throughout the years, taking in and watched other people's dogs. I love playing around and hanging out with all dogs, as long as their friendly. I'm a college student with a flexible and open schedule this summer, making me available to provide reliable care for your pets whenever you need it most. Whether it's a daily walk or occasional check-ins, your pets' comfort and routine will always be my priority. I'll always follow your instructions carefully, making sure your pet feels safe and comfortable, whether we're playing in the yard or relaxing indoors. I also like to check in with pictures and quick messages, so you know they're doing great!
