I work at a veterinary hospital, which has given me valuable experience caring for animals and understanding their individual needs. I know that pets are family, and I believe every animal deserves to feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing outside, getting plenty of cuddles, or simply having someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to meet them where they are! I understand that every pet has their own unique personality and routine, and I’ll do my best to make sure they receive the attention, patience, and care they deserve. I know how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pets, and I would love the opportunity to give you peace of mind while treating your furry family members like my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work full time but there is no shortage for of love for your pets! I will work around my work schedule to take care of your fur babies. My hours vary so I am able to make different times work out! I know that leaving your pet can be hard, which is why I want you to feel confident that they’re in good hands. About: I’ve been around animals all my life. I have three goldendoodles, Sullie who’s 10, Allie who’s 5, and Marlie who’s 2. I have helped potty train them all and have taught them basic tricks. I have also cared for friends/families pets when in need. I love all animals and enjoy making them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet needs walks, playtime, medications, or extra cuddles, I’m happy to help. I’m currently a full-time nursing student and have a summer nurse internship working 12 hour shifts, but I have multiple days off throughout the week that allow me to spend quality time caring for pets. My schedule varies, so I keep my availability updated. When I’m caring for your pet, they’ll get lots of attention, love, and dependable care! I always try to stick to each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and stress free. In your home, I will provide feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box cleanup, potty breaks, and lots of attention and affection. I also make sure the home is left clean and secure. I’ll also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they know their pet is doing well!

About: I have raised several dogs from the time they were puppies. I have done obedience training with all of them. I truly enjoy the loyal companionship of a dog. I am currently on SSDI, so I am retired. I do have a karaoke DJ business, but that usually only takes me away one or two nights a month. I currently have a French bulldog who is fixed and he is very friendly with other dogs. I also have two cats, but I have the ability to separate them from the rest of the house.

I’m often known as the ‘animal whisperer’ because my friends and family’s animals always seem to love me. Jeremiah has always been an animal lover and had his last dog for 15 years. He’s is home full time and has tons of energy and loves playing with dogs, going to the dog park, and making sure they get plenty of exercise and attention. We love cats just as much and are happy to help with drop in visits, feeding, litter boxes, playtime or whatever is needed. We would love to care for your pet! We are available for drop in visits, walks and dog sitting. We will make sure your dog gets plenty of love, affection. excercise and relaxation as needed. We are available for dog/house sitting at your home as needed. We are available for drop in visits with cats as well. About: I have owned a pet all my life, I had a dog like many young kids and at around 17 I started taking care of her full time. (She was a small dog) After she passed I adopted a cat and took care of him. More recently I pet sit for my friends and neighbors dealing with dogs as young and as big as a 1 year old Great Dane. I also have taken care of 18 year old cats that needed medication twice a day. I make sure to ask what your expectations are and do my best to exceed those and take great care of your pets. I understand that pets are more than just animals they are your family and it is an important responsibility to take care of them while you are away. I am currently a freelance artist and substitute teacher which makes me available to meet nearly everyone’s schedule as I am able to make my own. If you need a strict schedule with specific times for your animals comfort I am more than able to accommodate that. It is important to me when taking care of an animal that they are staying in a safe and clean home, I am more than capable and willing to clean up any and all messes that arise while you are away.

About: My dogs have always been very high needs growing up, so I have a lot of experience working with different diets, medications, and needs. I'm an athlete, so I can take them out for long periods of time to get exercise as needed, which can be really helpful for hyperactive dogs who have to be cooped up during the day. I'm also entirely capable of caring for senior dogs, I can take things at their pace and make sure they're comfortable and happy. I am currently a full time college student, but I have a lot of open time either between classes or after them. I commute to the Twin Cities from the suburbs, so I can easily travel wherever I am needed to be able to check in on or take care of your furry friends. Being in the cities with my own car I can take dogs out for walks around the lakes or down some of the trails nearby so they (and I) can get some proper exercise before my classes. When caring for pets, I always make sure they are getting plenty of time to move around, especially if I'm just dropping in to check on them, but regardless of the need. I like to keep a checklist of what I need to get done, as well as just having a bit of time to play with or pet them. I can take pets out for walks on foot or with my roller skates, which lets me go longer distances with them. I make sure to clean up any messes I might make, putting everything back as I found it and keeping things nice and tidy for when you get home again. I'm confident staying in new places, and can make sure everything stays safe in your home or space during my time there.

About: Have a family of 3 dogs and 2 cats and my family and I love our messy and hyper fur kids, no matter the situation we do research to avoid getting our fur kids sick and keep them feeling loved and relaxed :) I graduated from college this past summer and am working part time jobs so I have time to take care of friendly pets of any kinds and more than happy to house sit as well for any vacations! We have a fenced yard and we have a crate to put them in when they are doing naughty behaviors like digging through the trash or grabbing things (like food on the table) when they aren’t supposed to. I take them on walks and give them toys to play with as they love tug of war and enrichment toys to keep them busy while we are otherwise we cuddle and watch tv on the couch in my free time.

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and caring for dogs has been a big part of my life for years! I’m a proud husky dad to Obi, and I’ve also spent years helping care for my family’s French Bulldogs and Great Danes. So I’ve experienced just about everything, from energetic huskies who always want another walk, to stubborn little Frenchies with big personalities, to Great Danes who think they’re lap dogs! Having experience with such different breeds has taught me that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and I also welcome opportunities to care for cats. What sets me apart is that I don’t look at pet sitting as simply feeding an animal and letting them outside. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, playing, going for walks, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I also understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own, and I’m always happy to send pictures and updates so you know they’re doing great while you’re away! I work in the mortgage industry, which gives me some flexibility with my daily schedule. Being a dog dad myself, taking care of animals is already part of my everyday routine! I’m used to making time for walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy staying active, so having another four-legged friend along for a walk is always a bonus. I’m available for weekday and weekend care depending on my schedule, and I’m happy to work with owners to make sure their pets’ routines are maintained as closely as possible. Whether it’s an overnight stay, a weekend getaway, or a quick check-in, I want to make things as easy as possible for both you and your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person you’re leaving your pet with. I live in a townhome with my husky, Obi, who is a big part of my life. Before welcoming another dog into my home, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is comfortable and gets along. I understand that every pet has different needs, whether that’s extra exercise, a quiet place to relax, a specific feeding schedule, or just some extra attention. I’m careful about following each owner’s instructions, keeping dogs secure during walks and outdoor time, and making sure pets are supervised and comfortable. When caring for pets in their own homes, I respect their space and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent. I’m also happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are being well cared for!

About: There’s something about a dog’s loyalty, personality, and the way they become such an important part of our lives that I’ve always cherished. My love for dogs began at a very young age; at just six years old, I had a Poodle of my own and was already learning the responsibility and joy of caring for a dog. Throughout my life, I’ve proudly had dogs of my own and cared for friends’ and family members’ dogs while they were away. We recently lost our beloved German Shepherd/Husky to old age, and although his loss was difficult, it reminded me how much joy dogs bring into our lives. I would love the opportunity to share that extra love and attention with another amazing dog while their family is away. I’m a lifelong dog lover with more than two decades of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, ranging from 2 to 165 pounds. I genuinely enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality, quirks, routines, and preferences and tailoring my care to help them feel safe, comfortable, and at home. I care for every dog as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, affection, and walks when weather permits and with the owner’s approval. My 60-by-55-foot fully fenced yard provides plenty of space to play, explore, and enjoy multiple potty breaks throughout the day. I also work from home with a flexible schedule, allowing me to be present and attentive to my furry guests. Whether your pup loves cuddles or prefers personal space, I’m happy to follow their lead and respect their individual needs. With experience caring for dogs who are anxious, fearful, reactive, or more challenging to handle, I’ve developed strong observational skills and can recognize signs of stress, discomfort, illness, or injury. I’m also comfortable administering medications, following specific care instructions and routines, and providing basic first aid when needed. Most importantly, I love spoiling my furry guests because, in my opinion, they’re on vacation too! 🐾 You’re welcome to bring their regular food, treats, favorite toys, bed, blanket, or other comfort items to help make their stay familiar and special. I’m dependable in all weather conditions and always prioritize the safety, health, and comfort of every guest. If my calendar shows that I’m unavailable, please feel free to reach out anyway. I’m flexible whenever possible and happy to see if we can find a time that works. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming your furry family member into our home! ****** ******** ***** I’m proud to share that I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with Can Do Canines and regularly participate in dog-related events. These experiences have been incredibly rewarding, and I’m grateful to be able to contribute to the care, training, and support of these remarkable dogs as they prepare to change lives. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to be readily available and provide pets with plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I also have a fully fenced-in yard, which is ideal for multiple potty breaks, outdoor playtime, and exercise throughout the day. Caring for a pet comes down to consistently meeting their physical, emotional, and health needs. The exact details vary depending on the animal, of course! -I have a 60-by-55-foot fully fenced yard and pet gates in the house (if needed); -I love to go for walks with pets; -I love to cuddle and play with pets if that’s what they are into; -I feed them a balanced diet per owners’ instructions. Fresh water is always available. -I’d love to comb them if tools are provided from owners; -I provide lots of daily update pictures and/or videos; -And would be open to any reasonable requests owners might have.

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.

Before booking, confirm:

  • the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
  • the care instructions the sitter should follow;
  • which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
  • how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.

Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Spencer Brook. On Rover:

  • 88% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.

sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
