“First time using Erin! Her communication, pictures and attention to details made the trip so much easier!! Already have her booked for next time we’re gone!! Thank you!!”

“This was our first experience with using Rover.com and it couldn't have gone better! We met Carrie the day before and were very comfortable leaving our fur babies in her care and giving her the key to our home. We received updates and photos of our pups while in her care. We were able to enjoy our time away without having any worries. We would recommend her to others and will definitely be calling on her again in the future. Thanks Carrie!!”

“Madelynn is very trustworthy and was great with our pets. She sent thorough updates and pictures, so we knew our pets were being well cared for. I definitely recommend her services!”

About: My name is Corrie and I love animals, I have 2 cats, 2 dogs and 2 kids. They mean so much to me. I have a passion for caring for animals of all kinds. I love going for walks with my dogs. I have a big yard that's 2.5 acres and we roam around the whole thing. Some of it's long grass so I will check for ticks. I cut or file my own dogs nails as well and can offer that if needed depending how well the dog or cat does. I work full time but work from home some days of the week, Wednesdays and Fridays. We are available in evenings and weekends. Especially in the winter. We have a large yard. Most of the time we let the dogs out on a 50 foot leash for quick potty breaks. Rocky is allowed to roam a little. Otherwise we walk the dogs around the yard or neighborhood. Have a large crate when needed.
“They did an amazing job with our cat and German Shepherd! Communicated well and sent plenty of pictures. It’s obvious that they bonded with both animals and spent time giving them love while they were here. Very clear that they love animals and that it’s not just a job for them. We plan to continue using their services in the future!”

I’m hoping to gain a clientele of drop in dog walking clients during the day on the weekdays. My work can be very flexible, so I can drop in to care for you dog during the work day. I will care for your pet by providing drop in services for dogs where we could go for a walk or play in clients yard if Applicable. About: Hello, Pet Parents. My name is Cory, and I'm going to tell you a bit about myself! I've always been involved with animals in my life and have had many pets! I've had 3 dogs, mice, hamsters, and even a frog! Not only have I had pets, but I've had past experiences with pets and pet owners, and here are some as follows! ————————————————————— Experience: Worked for an adoption center where I took care of dogs and cats. Dog walking Pet sitting Many animal based classes Currently working at a board and train facility Training/Fostering a soon to be police dog that will be stationed at a middle school and helping with tracking cases ————————————————————— If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! I'm currently working part time so I'll have plenty of time to take care of your fuzzy little friends whenever needed! I'll always talk to you about openings in my schedule that fit with yours! I have a couple pets, a Sheprador which is a German Shepherd and Labrador mix named George, and a hamster named Baba. I feed my dog George twice a day making sure to let him outside right after, I regularly brush him because he just doesn't stop shedding, I wash him every other month so he doesn't get stinky, give him all of his medication for his allergies, and just giving him constant attention such as walks! Baba gets fed once a day with a healthy balance of veggies, fruits, seeds, and original food. I clean his cage every 1 to 2 weeks depending how it looks and/or if it stinks, and finally I regularly take him out of his cage to pet him and let him run around in his ball! George and Baba get along haha! Plus a new member being Chunk a little lab puppy!

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover, and caring for dogs has been a big part of my life for years! I’m a proud husky dad to Obi, and I’ve also spent years helping care for my family’s French Bulldogs and Great Danes. So I’ve experienced just about everything, from energetic huskies who always want another walk, to stubborn little Frenchies with big personalities, to Great Danes who think they’re lap dogs! Having experience with such different breeds has taught me that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes, and I also welcome opportunities to care for cats. What sets me apart is that I don’t look at pet sitting as simply feeding an animal and letting them outside. I genuinely enjoy spending time with them, playing, going for walks, and making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I also understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own, and I’m always happy to send pictures and updates so you know they’re doing great while you’re away! I work in the mortgage industry, which gives me some flexibility with my daily schedule. Being a dog dad myself, taking care of animals is already part of my everyday routine! I’m used to making time for walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. I enjoy staying active, so having another four-legged friend along for a walk is always a bonus. I’m available for weekday and weekend care depending on my schedule, and I’m happy to work with owners to make sure their pets’ routines are maintained as closely as possible. Whether it’s an overnight stay, a weekend getaway, or a quick check-in, I want to make things as easy as possible for both you and your pet! Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. As a dog owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person you’re leaving your pet with. I live in a townhome with my husky, Obi, who is a big part of my life. Before welcoming another dog into my home, I like to arrange a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is comfortable and gets along. I understand that every pet has different needs, whether that’s extra exercise, a quiet place to relax, a specific feeding schedule, or just some extra attention. I’m careful about following each owner’s instructions, keeping dogs secure during walks and outdoor time, and making sure pets are supervised and comfortable. When caring for pets in their own homes, I respect their space and do my best to keep their normal routine consistent. I’m also happy to provide regular photos and updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pets are being well cared for!
About: For over 5 years, I've been the go-to pet caretaker for many in my community. From energetic puppies to wise senior dogs, I've had the joy of caring for them all. My experience spans walking, feeding, bathing, and even some basic training. Every pet is unique, and I pride myself on recognizing and attending to each one's individual needs. Whether your fur baby needs patience, energy, or a gentle touch, I'm here to provide it. Balancing a remote job gives me the flexibility and opportunity to dedicate substantial time to pet care. I’m fervent about ensuring our furry companions get ample play and attention. I am open for boarding on weekends, and my weekdays post 11am are entirely devoted to caring for pets. Rest assured, your pets will enjoy ample time of fun and care with me! Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets. In my home, I've created a pet-friendly environment, free from hazards and with plenty of play space. All pets have access to clean, comfortable resting spots and fresh water at all times. If I'm taking care of pets in your home, I'm respectful of your space and follow all guidelines provided. My goal is to ensure that whether I'm in your home or you entrust your pet in mine, they are safe, happy, and well cared for.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
sitters on Rover set their own , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
