About: My love for animals started when I was just 4 or 5 years old! I was given the very important job of letting our neighbor's dog out while they were on vacation (with a little help from my mom, of course! 😉). We had two cats of our own growing up, but I think that little responsibility is what really sparked my love for caring for all animals. Throughout high school, I volunteered whenever I could at a local animal shelter and dreamed of one day opening my own dog training and boarding facility. Life took me in a different direction, and I spent over 10 years pursuing a degree and career outside of animal care. But my love for animals never faded, and I've finally decided to follow that childhood dream! For the past four years, I've been volunteering and fostering dogs through Ruff Start Rescue. Fostering has been such a rewarding experience! I've had the opportunity to welcome dogs into my home, get to know their individual personalities, and provide them with a safe, loving environment while they wait for their forever families. It's taught me so much about patience, understanding, and how every dog has their own unique needs. More recently, I've also started working part-time as a dog handler at Best Furriends Boarding, where I've spent the past two months doing something I absolutely love! Getting to care for dogs, learn their personalities, and help make their time away from home a positive experience has only reassured me that working with animals is where my heart belongs. At home, I'm a proud pet parent to three wonderful rescue fur babies—two dogs and a cat! They're my family, and I know firsthand how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, happy, and loved when you're away. Whether your pet is outgoing and playful or needs a little extra patience and reassurance, my goal is to make them feel comfortable, cared for, and loved just like they would at home. Some pups are naturally easygoing, while others may need a little extra structure, guidance, or patience, and that's perfectly okay! My goal is always to follow your routines, instructions, and preferences so your fur babies feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I'm also happy to share suggestions or guidance if you're ever interested. And if all you need is someone to let your pups outside, give them some attention, and spoil them rotten, I'd absolutely love that too! For Boarding & Doggy Daycare: We have two wonderful resident dogs with very different personalities! Our senior pup enjoys a calmer environment and appreciates her personal space, while our 3-year-old Shepherd mix is a big, playful sweetheart who loves making furry friends! To keep everyone comfortable and happy, we're currently best suited for laid-back, gentle dogs who respect other dogs' boundaries. We also have the ability to separate the dogs when needed, giving everyone a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness will always be my priority. I want your fur babies to feel like part of the family while they're in my care!

About: Hi! I'm Kelsey, a homeschooling mom to two boys, and caring for dogs has been a huge part of my life for years. Before caring for dogs full-time from home, I spent many years as an assistant manager at a large dog daycare and boarding facility. That experience taught me so much about dog behavior, different temperaments, and what dogs need to feel comfortable in a busy environment. But it also helped me discover a dream of my own. I wanted to create something different: a place that truly feels like a home away from home, where dogs are cared for as individuals rather than expected to fit into one particular environment or routine. I'm now building that dream into reality, one step at a time. Pet care is my full-time job, and this is something I'm genuinely passionate about. I put my whole heart into making sure every dog in my care feels safe, loved, and comfortable. My hope is that when you leave your dog with me, you can feel good knowing they're spending their time with someone who truly cares about them. Pet care is my full-time job, and I'm home throughout the day while homeschooling my boys. I'm able to provide attention and supervision throughout the day, with time for outdoor breaks, meals, activity, and rest. I aim to keep a consistent routine while remaining flexible to accommodate each dog's individual schedule and needs. I want dogs staying with me to feel comfortable being themselves. I have 2.5 acres to explore, including a large fenced in area for running, playing, sniffing, and enjoying the outdoors. For dogs who prefer a slower pace, there's no pressure to keep up with the more playful pups. I take compatibility seriously and consider each dog's comfort when deciding how they spend their time around other animals. Some dogs love having playmates, while others are happier with their own space and more human companionship. Both are perfectly okay here. I'm also working on a dedicated dog room and play space in my garage that I plan to make climate controlled, with individual kennels for feeding and rest. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where dogs can enjoy their time, have their own space when they need it, and settle in at their own pace.

About: As animal enthusiasts, your pets happiness and health is our passion! Your pet will receive personalized care and attention just as it does when home with you (no kenneling here). Walks, belly rubs, playing/chasing after balls, brushing, relaxing, all come with no extra charge! We understand how stressful a kennel environment can be on your pet, especially smaller and older dogs. Most often your dog will be the only dog that stays with us when visiting. I take special care in making sure the dogs are compatible. Even though we don't have a fenced in yard, your dog will be personally walked by me many times throughout the day. I know when your dog has gone to the bathroom and not left unsupervised outside for hours (or with other dogs). Why your Pet will love it here: -it's a calm/relaxed home environment, they will feel safe (no stress of other dogs) -they will get LOTS of attention all throughout the day (I'm home all day) and feel loved -same routine as home (feeding, walks, potty breaks) so they know what to expect We are animal lovers so we enjoy pet care, we have 3 cats. We enjoy having dogs visit and stay with us, it gives us the opportunity to help families who need care for their beloved pet and a chance for us to pamper a dog for a few days and enjoy them! We do not have any dogs so it’s most likely your dog will be the only one staying with us, we like calm, low key environments so your dog can be relaxed and feel safe.

About: Hello! I'm Kaity and I have 20+ years of professional dog training experience. I used to work inside the Federal Prisons in Minnesota teaching inmates how to raise and train service dogs for a local non-profit. I have was also the General Manager at a local pet food store where I educated pet parents daily about nutrition, care and everything in-between. Dogs are my true passion in life. I majored in Animal Science in college and went through a dog training school in North Carolina so I know all about how to handle your pets and make sure they are comfortable in my care. I own a border collie and a golden retriever who keep me on my toes. Dog training is something I no longer do full time as a career so I love being able to offer it to those that need it. I love working with puppies and teaching good habits and behaviors. I have taught dog training classes for over 10 years and enjoy one on one sessions so much more than a big class format so we can focus on exactly what your pup needs. I offer in person training sessions, virtual sessions, outings, as well as drop in training sessions where I work with your dog even if you aren't at home. I take all the extra precautions like double-checking fences, keeping food put away, not leaving socks on the floor, and so much more. The trainer in me makes for a very careful dog sitter!

About: We are animal lovers through and through. We came from families that always had dogs, and we currently have a small hobby farm. We’ve raised dogs from puppies through senior dogs. We’ve had rescue dogs and dogs from breeders, both in small quarters and with plenty of room to roam. We both work from home full-time. Pets are allowed on all furniture (nothing is off limits). There’s a fully fenced backyard with room to run. We can transport dogs if necessary. We value unstructured outdoor playtime over walks, due to the nature of living in the country. We have one puggle at home who loves making (and racing) new friends. If you’d prefer our little ones stay separate, we’re happy to accommodate. We have dog fences that can be used as necessary, too. We have toddlers, so please make us aware if your dog has ever had any interactions with children.
