“Sophia was very kind and welcoming of our pup. We received pics and updates throughout her doggy daycare experience. I felt that our dog was well cared for and loved during her stay.”

About: I’ve taken care of my own dogs since I was 12 years old, I’ve trained, fed, and exercised my family pets, and dog sat for extended family for years. I currently stay at home mom. I’m able to let my pets out whenever they need me to, being a stay at home mom lets me interact with my pets anytime so they are never alone. I live on 34 acres but currently do not have a fenced in yard. My dog has a e-collar which keeps him close to home. I can also provide a long lead if a pet is known to wonder.
“Rebekah was amazing watching our pup and we loved all the pictures she took. Her pup was so sweet and played so well with ours. Rebekah was so easy to communicate and coordinate with!”

About: I have raised several dogs from the time they were puppies. I have done obedience training with all of them. I truly enjoy the loyal companionship of a dog. I am currently on SSDI, so I am retired. I do have a karaoke DJ business, but that usually only takes me away one or two nights a month. I currently have a French bulldog who is fixed and he is very friendly with other dogs. I also have two cats, but I have the ability to separate them from the rest of the house.

“Melissa did an amazing job of caring for our 16 week old puppy Enzo. Her communication was great and made us so comfortable that Enzo was in good hands. Will be booking with here the next time we need care!”

“Terry and Samantha took great care of my puppy. They had her for 6 hours and were attentive to all the needs that a small puppy has. I felt very comfortable leaving Bettie with them and will definitely use them again.”

“I was gifted a female Husky and knew that she needed a pack. I started searching Rover and we found Linnea about 6 months ago. She is attentive to my girl Kimbers needs, great with multiple dogs and she has been flexible with my schedule. Both Kimber and myself are very lucky to be part of Linneas pack!”
“Dropped Teddy off for a couple hours of daycare with Lisa. She was so kind to him, took him for a nice walk and gave him lots of pets. He seemed to have loved his stay. Would definitely recommend Lisa to others seeking quality pet care!”
“Anna is fabulous! We have a new puppy and she has watched him all week for us while we are at work! She makes sure he gets playtime with her dogs and naps in too! She sends lots of updates and pictures throughout the day, which we love! She has done great with helping his potty training and keeping us informed with his rover card each day!”

“Kayti was very kind, responsive, and flexible. She sent tons of pictures of my puppy throughout the day and provided frequent updates, which I really appreciated. I always get nervous leaving my 8-month-old puppy with someone new, but Kayti was wonderful and made me feel completely at ease. I could tell my puppy was well cared for and had a great time. Highly recommend!”

“David is great! He is very knowledgeable about dog training and will help to correct any issues your pup might have while also making sure they have a great time. Camper had a blast and has been sleeping ever since he came home. Definitely will book again in the future (:”

“Thomas took great care of our pup. He was very communicative and easy to coordinate with. Our schedule was unpredictable, so we appreciated how flexible he was when we adjusted times. Simone clearly had a fun day, cause she conked out when we got home. Would definitely recommend!”

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MN ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
