About: Over 50 Years of Devoted Pet Care With more than five decades of hands-on experience, I have spent my life surrounded by animals—and wouldn’t have it any other way. From dogs and cats to horses, rabbits, and even rescues, caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s who I am. I have never lived a day without a pet by my side, and animals naturally trust me in a way that feels almost magical. Whether I am gently nursing a senior dog, chasing down a runaway pup with a worried neighbor, or caring for someone’s beloved cat like it’s my own, I bring patience, love, and a deep understanding of animal needs to everything I do. Pet sitting with me isn’t just reliable—it’s personal, heartfelt care from someone who truly connects with animals. If your pets could talk, they’d tell you they can’t wait for me to come back. I am retired and happily available full-time—weekdays, weekends, holidays and even last-minute needs (unless I’m spending time with my grandkids). Whether it’s daily check-in’s, overnight stays, or extended care, I’m here when your pet needs me. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I treat every animal as if they were my own—earning their trust with patience, kindness, and plenty of love. I always follow your specific instructions and routines, whether that means meal times, medications, walks, snuggles, or just quiet companionship. I know how important consistency is, and I strive to keep your pets relaxed and cared for in the comfort of their own home. What I Offer:     •    Drop-in visits (feeding, playtime, potty breaks)     •    Dog walking     •    Overnight stays     •    Medication administration     •    Lots of love and attention I also keep you updated with messages and photos, so you always know your pet is safe and happy. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your animals in someone else’s care—I don’t take that lightly.

About: I had pets ever since I was a little girl. My dream job would be to work with animals. I currently have two cats at home who I rescued after being abandoned by their mother. They are sweet and loving but can be a little shy or skittish around new people and things — so they may hide at first, but they warm up quickly! They are fully socialized and pose no threat to visiting dogs or other pets. I am a dog lover and I'm looking forward to watching and caring for your pets. Even though I'm new on Rover I hope I can earn your trust on caring for your pets. I'm hoping this experience will help me create my own successful dog boarding business in the future. Right now I work full-time at Mac.bid. Fill free to message me if you have any questions or concerns about anything. I look forward in working with all of you. Thanks. I work full time Monday through Friday , so I am only available to care for your pup on weekends — Friday evening through Sunday. During this time I am fully dedicated and able to give your dog my complete attention, love, and care all weekend long! While I do have a fenced yard, I also use a ground stake and leash for added security during outdoor time — especially for dogs I am not yet familiar with. This ensures your pup can enjoy the fresh air safely while I get to know their personality and behavior. All outdoor time is fully supervised regardless!

About: I am a lifelong pet lover whoI started pet sitting for friends & family - cats and dogs - five years ago and I discovered that I really enjoyed it. I've offered services such as drop ins, daily feedings (multiple times if necessary), cleaning litter boxes, and so on. I am great at playing ball with dogs who love chasing balls; I also play with kitties who like playing with toys. If your pet is shy I sit quietly in the floor and let them come to me. I understand that it could take a visit or two for them to warm up to a stranger. I have a flexible schedule and am available seven days a week from morning hours, beginning at 6am through late evening with services stopping at 10pm. I always begin with a meet-and-greet so I can get to know your fur baby (or babies!)—their routines, preferences, quirks, and any special needs. This lets me tailor their care so it feels familiar, comforting, and stress-free. When I’m caring for your pets in your home, they get to stay in the comfort and safety of their own surroundings, which helps keep their routine steady and their anxiety low. I provide attentive, loving care that includes feeding, fresh water, potty breaks/litter care, medication (if needed), exercise, playtime, and plenty of affection. I follow your instructions exactly as you lay them out so everything feels just right for them. No matter the service, your pets are treated like family—with love, patience, connection, and attention to every detail.

About: I have been caring for dogs of all sizes and ages for the past 20 years. I have always used a very simple approach to dog sitting. A tired dog that is engaged is easy to take care of. My property has lots of things that will keep your dog curious and entertained. I have squirrels that run around in the trees and moles that leave chutes in the ground. Outside my fence you will often see rabbits, deer and the occasional opossum. Your dog will love the new smells and occasional sightings of these animals. For physical activity I have plenty of long stretches for play and ball chasing as well as some basic agility obstacles your dog may find interesting. My semi wooded lot has lots of sticks to chew on. Your pet will be included in walks around the neighborhood and my local park. Having recently retired from corporate America I am looking for things to keep me busy and make use of my love of pets and experience caring for them. I also recently lost my dog to cancer and while I am not quite ready to adopt a new dog I miss having one around. I do not have a 9-5 so except for the occasional errand I will be around for your pet full time. I take the responsibility of caring for your dog very seriously. I attach a tracking tag to the collar of every dog in my care as well as an extra layer of security. Feel free to ask me any other questions you may have and rest assured you will not regret booking me for any of your pet needs. I am retired so with the exception of an errand I will be available to your pet full time. Pets are allowed on my furniture and bed. Please advise if this is a behavioral you are trying to discourage! Your pet will enjoy plenty of time outside and walks around my neighborhood and local park. I have a fenced in wooded acre. Your pet will be given free range of my home, but I will crate or contain them when I am away for their protection. I currently have no pets so your dog will receive my full attention.

About: Hi! My name is Morgan, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats of all ages and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, basic care, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I’m dependable, attentive, and committed to following your pet’s routine so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands. Pet care is naturally set into my daily and weekly routine. I schedule my day around feeding times, walks, play time, and check-ins to ensure every pet gets consistent care. Mornings and evenings are dedicated to exercise, enrichment, and cuddles, while afternoons include potty breaks, supervision, and rest time. My schedule is flexible and intentionally designed so I can give every animal the attention, and time they deserve. When pets stay in my home, I create a safe, supervised, and comforting environment set to their needs. I maintain clean spaces, provide cozy rest areas, and offer play time. I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, and preferred activities, so their stay feels familiar and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my goal is to keep their routine uninterrupted. I handle feeding, walks, bathroom breaks, medication, playtime, and any specific instructions exactly as provided. I also respect the home environment by keeping everything tidy and secure. Whether in my home or yours, I focus on communication, safety, and reliable, compassionate care that helps pets feel calm, comfortable, and understood.

About: I’ve always grown up with dogs of various breeds even pit bulls. I love them all! I used to have a cat as well so I can take care of them too! I love animals and would love to help you and your pet! I dog sat when I was younger for the neighbors and always had pets of my own. My fiancé who has also grown up with dogs and lived with my cat will also help out so they have the best care. On the weekends I’m completely available and on the weekdays I’m available in the early mornings, with a drop in during my lunch at work, in the evenings, and late at night. I try to stay active so walks and play time will be a daily thing! If they’re staying with us my pup hero loves other dogs and to play often so they’ll always be entertained. I take a daily walk even when not pet sitting so they can tag along. I love animals so whether they stay at my home or I come to yours we will have play time and a walk daily :) it’ll be a vacation for them too! If pet sitting a cat I used to have one of my own so I know how they need to be stimulated and get their zoomies out so show me their favorite toy and We’ll get them some exercise. No matter the case I will do my best to keep your pet happy and cared for while you’re away. We have a plethora of toys here and Hero doesn’t mind sharing ever.

About: I have looked after multiple of my neighbors pets, as well as house sat for various different people! I love animals and have 2 dogs of my own. I am also a pretty athletic person and love to walk/run! I am currently a student at the University of South Carolina and am looking to make some extra income. I am mostly open during the day for any animal needs and am open to overnight sitting. I am a very early riser and would have to leave early in the morning, but could always come back during the day to check on house/pets. I could easily keep smaller dogs or cats with crates. My own two dogs don’t live with me right now so that wouldn’t interfere with any pets.

About: Reliable, loving pet sitting and drop-in visits for animals big and small (no snakes or spiders, please!). As a lifelong animal lover, I have extensive experience caring for both small and large dogs—including owning Great Danes for many years—as well as cats and horses. I’ve also volunteered with a rescue organization, giving me a strong understanding of different temperaments and special care needs. During the summer, I offer flexible availability and can visit at almost any time, including overnight stays when needed. As a teacher, my school-year schedule allows for early morning and after-school visits. I provide dependable, attentive care and am happy to share excellent references! A typical day of pet sitting for me is centered around making your fur babies feel happy, comfortable, and loved. During the summer, with my open schedule, I’m able to spend plenty of quality time with each pet—whether that means morning walks, playtime in the yard, feeding routines, or simply sitting and giving them the attention they deserve. I make sure to follow your pet’s normal schedule as closely as possible to keep things familiar and stress-free. Throughout the day, I include plenty of interaction—play sessions, cuddles, and check-ins—while also keeping an eye on their overall well-being. For pets who enjoy it, I love spending extra time outdoors or engaging them with toys and enrichment activities. I’m also happy to send updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in great hands. My goal each day is simple: to treat your pets like family and make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I will care for your pet in the comfort of your home by following their routine, providing love, attention, playtime, and ensuring they feel safe, relaxed, and well cared for while you’re away.Of course, I am always eager to provide pictures and updates while you are away.

Pretty much whatever care you need, I can deliver (unless it’s a snake because I am terrified of snakes). I do this full time, so my availability is pretty open! About: Husband & wife team that has dogs, cats & chickens on over a half acre. We love animals & can't wait to love on your fur baby! We have 5 cats, including two bonded pairs, and 2 with special needs. We have training experience for dogs as well. We have a special needs dog, and have been proud pet parents of two senior dogs for 5 years. We have experience from puppies to hospice care. We are well adept with different training and dietary needs, and love dog walks. Our large fenced in backyard (half an acre) and two catios give our pets plenty of space to explore. We also have invisble fence for the front yard. We are skilled at grooming and nail trimming and dog teeth brushing, as well as giving medication. We love to spoil our pets; so we have a multitude of pet sofas, dog beds, cat trees, and a comfy outdoor dog house. And we love to cuddle all pets, so bed snuggles are encouraged. However, we have crate trained and support that as well! We also work well with cat backpacks and harness trained cats! Since we are a couple and I am a stay at home mom with a large car, your pets will be doted on and given any adventures you’re comfortable with. We even have doggy seatbelts! I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works from home part time, so we have ample time to take care of your fur babies. We have a fenced-in yard and 3 friendly dogs for your dogs to play with, as well as a screened-in deck (that is really a catio) and an upstairs screened-in catio for any feline guests. We also have an invisible fence for the front yard, to make sure everyone is safes We have ample space and time for supervised fun. In a client’s home, we like to stick to the routine to which an animal is most accustomed to in order to minimize disruptions and stress. That being said, we are more than willing to give ample enrichment via new park walks, frisbee throwing or training exercises. We are also skilled at grooming dogs and cats, including nail clippings, if that is an interest. We love to give cuddles and share our bed and couch, but we have crate trained before and will do whatever is best for your pet. Special dietary issues are no concern, as we already deal with daily in our home.

About: I have 10 years of pet care experience. I am well versed with dogs, cats, horses and other farm animals. I can handle large dogs and still cuddle with the little dogs. I get to care for my friends fur babies and I am grateful for every moment. I have experience with seniors and puppies (or kittens!) and can handle pretty much any situation. I am also able to administer medications if needed. I am currently working at a carriage barn 5 days a week. However, my hours are very flexible there so I can fit your pet into my week with no problems. I am also available weekends! I prefer not to board at my home, just to help keep the peace within my own animals and to not cause unneeded stress on your fur baby. I can do up to 3 visits a day, preferably nothing exceeding an hour unless necessary. I will watch over pet like it is my own. That being said, I will abide by any rules you may set for your animals. I will walk them, play with them, and love on them.

  • 94% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
