About: I have been caring for dogs of all sizes and ages for the past 20 years. I have always used a very simple approach to dog sitting. A tired dog that is engaged is easy to take care of. My property has lots of things that will keep your dog curious and entertained. I have squirrels that run around in the trees and moles that leave chutes in the ground. Outside my fence you will often see rabbits, deer and the occasional opossum. Your dog will love the new smells and occasional sightings of these animals. For physical activity I have plenty of long stretches for play and ball chasing as well as some basic agility obstacles your dog may find interesting. My semi wooded lot has lots of sticks to chew on. Your pet will be included in walks around the neighborhood and my local park. Having recently retired from corporate America I am looking for things to keep me busy and make use of my love of pets and experience caring for them. I also recently lost my dog to cancer and while I am not quite ready to adopt a new dog I miss having one around. I do not have a 9-5 so except for the occasional errand I will be around for your pet full time. I take the responsibility of caring for your dog very seriously. We are well adept with different training and dietary needs, and love dog walks. Our large fenced in backyard (half an acre) and two catios give our pets plenty of space to explore. We also have invisble fence for the front yard. We are skilled at grooming and nail trimming and dog teeth brushing, as well as giving medication. We love to spoil our pets; so we have a multitude of pet sofas, dog beds, cat trees, and a comfy outdoor dog house. And we love to cuddle all pets, so bed snuggles are encouraged. However, we have crate trained and support that as well! We also work well with cat backpacks and harness trained cats! Since we are a couple and I am a stay at home mom with a large car, your pets will be doted on and given any adventures you’re comfortable with. We even have doggy seatbelts! I'm a stay at home mom and my husband works from home part time, so we have ample time to take care of your fur babies. We have a fenced-in yard and 3 friendly dogs for your dogs to play with, as well as a screened-in deck (that is really a catio) and an upstairs screened-in catio for any feline guests. We also have an invisible fence for the front yard, to make sure everyone is safes We have ample space and time for supervised fun. In a client’s home, we like to stick to the routine to which an animal is most accustomed to in order to minimize disruptions and stress. That being said, we are more than willing to give ample enrichment via new park walks, frisbee throwing or training exercises. We are also skilled at grooming dogs and cats, including nail clippings, if that is an interest. We love to give cuddles and share our bed and couch, but we have crate trained before and will do whatever is best for your pet. Special dietary issues are no concern, as we already deal with daily in our home.

I am also able to administer medications if needed. I am currently working at a carriage barn 5 days a week. However, my hours are very flexible there so I can fit your pet into my week with no problems. I am also available weekends! I prefer not to board at my home, just to help keep the peace within my own animals and to not cause unneeded stress on your fur baby. I can do up to 3 visits a day, preferably nothing exceeding an hour unless necessary. I will watch over pet like it is my own. That being said, I will abide by any rules you may set for your animals.
