“Mara was wonderful with our Goldendoodle. She was very kind and energetic and matched our dogs enthusiasm for play. We could tell right away her love and care for our pet was just like her own.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I used to have a sweet girl named Susie who filled my heart with love and taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and compassion. After she passed away three years ago, I’ve continued caring for pets belonging to neighbors, friends, and family whenever they go out of town. Whether it’s walking, feeding, bathing, or giving extra cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and make sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and safe while their owners are away. From energetic puppies to calm senior dogs, I’m experienced in adapting to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I do have a puppy named cocoa as of December 2025. She is the light of our lives!! We love her so much. I work from home three days a week and go into the office twice, so I have a very flexible schedule! On my work-from-home days, I’m available all day to give your pup plenty of love, walks, and attention. Even on my office days, I can still accommodate morning, evening, and overnight visits as needed. Your pet will always be in a safe, supervised environment where they can feel right at home. I’m attentive, caring, and but most importantly will love your fur babies like they’re my own. I can also easily crate your dog if needed or follow any specific routines you prefer.

About: I have extensive dog sitting experience and a genuine love for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’m comfortable caring for energetic puppies, laid-back seniors, anxious dogs who need extra patience, and everything in between. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away, and I always strive to create a calm, caring environment for them. I’m experienced with walks, feeding routines, playtime, crate routines, administering basic medications if needed, and giving dogs the attention and affection they deserve. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique needs and personality, whether that means lots of exercise and play or quiet companionship and reassurance. My goal is always to make both pets and owners feel completely at ease. I work full-time, but I carefully plan pet care around my schedule to ensure every pet receives attentive, dependable care and plenty of love. I’m very organized with my routine and make time for walks, feeding schedules, playtime, check-ins, and quality attention before and after work, as well as throughout evenings and weekends. Because I genuinely enjoy caring for animals, pet sitting is something I intentionally make space for in my life — not something rushed or treated as an afterthought. I’m committed to making pets feel comfortable, cared for, and secure while keeping owners updated and reassured along the way. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine and create a calm, comfortable environment while their owners are away. I understand that pets feel safest in familiar surroundings, so I focus on keeping their schedule consistent with feeding, walks, playtime, medications if needed, and plenty of affection and attention. I’m respectful, responsible, and attentive while staying in someone’s home, and I treat both pets and the home with great care. I also provide regular updates, photos, and communication so owners can feel reassured knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.
About: I’ve owned and taken care of animals since I was a child. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, rodents, fish, reptiles, and amphibians. Started dog sitting/walking/training for my neighbors at age 10. Involved in volunteer and rescue work throughout the years as well. I’ll treat your furry and/or scaly babies just like my own! Willing to walk, groom (bathing/brushing/nails), play, do stop in visits, pet sit in your home, clean cages/tanks, and do light housekeeping. I also have experience with basic dog training. I can teach your pooch basic commands, such as sit, stay, lie down, and shake. I have experience with house training as well. I have a very open and flexible schedule. I am located in Rock Hill, and willing to travel within reason I currently work full time, but I am hoping that by using Rover I can change my schedule. I am hoping to pick up enough clients so that I can have a more flexible schedule. I am very courteous of other’s spaces and belongings. I will treat your home and pets just like my own, and I will always treat a client’s home with respect.
“Kristen made me feel super at easy for Sauce's first sitter experience! She was on time, comfortable with Sauce, followed his typical routine, and knowledgable. She sent photos and videos, let me know what the two of them were up to, and gave updates on potty breaks and when she was leaving. Definitely reaching back out to her for future pup sitting! Thank you :)”

I adjust my care to what each pet needs—whether that’s energy, structure, or calm companionship. I also have 8 years of experience as a personal assistant, so I’m reliable, organized, and detail-oriented when it comes to following instructions and communicating clearly. My schedule is flexible, which allows me to plan my day around walks, drop-in visits, and house sitting needs without rushing or squeezing pets in. I’m already used to being home and present throughout the day, so I can easily give pets consistent attention, regular breaks, and companionship. On a weekly basis, I’m able to reliably accommodate recurring care as well as one-time bookings, and I make sure each visit is fully built into my schedule so pets always get my focused time and care. In a client’s home, I care for pets by following their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their owner is away. I take time to understand each pet’s needs, personality, and schedule ahead of time, and I make sure feedings, walks, playtime, and any medications are done exactly as instructed. I also focus on creating a calm, reassuring presence so pets feel relaxed rather than stressed by the change in routine. My visits are never rushed—I stay present, give them real attention, and make sure they’re getting both care and companionship. I also keep owners updated with clear, thoughtful messages so they always know how their pet is doing.

“Christopher was a great sitter for our 4 month old lab, Hootie! He sent pictures and updates for us while we were away. When we watched our pet cam to check on our pup after he had left, Hootie was fast asleep- which never happens as he has some separation anxiety. We could tell that he had a great time and that Christopher took the time to have play time along with a structured visit! Thanks again!”

“Karleen agreed to watch our fluffies last minute and was so amazingly helpful! She was great with the pups, stuck to the routine and sent regular check-ins. I will be asking her to help in the future!”

“Chloe was absolutely amazing! She came to my house to watch my dog for the week and was so attentive, loving, and respectful of our home. She loved on our boy making him feel right at home. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tirzah walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tirzah maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tirzah choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tirzah. On Rover:
- 93% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
