“Shakoya exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I can tell Jasper had such a great time with her. She took extra good care of him while I was away and I hope to use her services again.”

“Diamond was AWESOME! She was communicative and very reliable! She showed up on time and she made sure we had knowledge of when she entered and left our home. I was apprehensive about giving a stranger access to our home but she quickly put all of my fears at ease, she was delightful. We will definitely be using her in the future as our experience was very positive.”

About: Hi everyone! My name is McKenna. I have been a registered nurse in the Charlotte area for 5 years. I have had dogs all my life, walked dogs through Wag all during college, and now have a golden retriever of my own. Dogs have definitely always been a huge part of my life! Being a dog mom, I understand how scary it can be to trust someone else with your pup. My own experience with Rover and the amount of love Sully received from his sitter put me at ease. I strive to do the same for other pet parents!! I only work 3 days a week, so drop in visits or walks are the perfect way to spend my days off. :) I’m a registered nurse working 3 days a week, so I have plenty of time to spend on my days off caring for your pups. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel at ease when they’re away (been there!), and my goal is always to make sure your dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. As a nurse, I’m naturally very dependable, detail-oriented, and used to being trusted with important responsibilities. I bring that same level of care and attention when looking after someone’s pet. I know dogs feel most comfortable when their routine stays the same, so I always follow the owner’s instructions closely for walks, feeding, and playtime. I keep things calm and positive so the dog feels safe with me. I give dogs time to warm up to me, especially if they’re shy at first, and I use play, treats (if allowed), and walks to help them relax. Since I have a young golden retriever of my own, I understand how important it is to know your dog is being cared for with patience and kindness.
“Tarynne was wonderful! She was so communicative and sensitive to our special circumstances. Her daily “Report Cards’ were informative and much appreciated. Our girl, Piper, will be thrilled to see Tarynne next time!”

“Gonzalo was absolutely amazing caring for our animals! He went above and beyond with keeping us updated, and giving extra to our little dog that’s more shy and timid. We would recommend him to anyone looking for animal care and we’ll definitely be using him in the future!”

“Beckye was amazing! She really listened to my concerns and is amazing with my dog. He is super high energy and pain. She was calm and assertive which is what he needs.”

I am just now finishing my second semester of college and will be available full-time during the first week of May! I’m open to anything from just a walk, to a week’s worth of care. I offer walking, feeding, filling water bowls, playing, brushing, bathing, anything you may need. Even watering your plants if needed! Just ask for special requests in advance.

And I would love to care for yours! I currently work early mornings from 4:30am to around 11am, Monday through Friday but besides that I have open availability the rest of those days. I have an open place for your animals to walk with me as well as a friendly furry friend named Phoebe to keep yours company. If them staying with me is not what you want when it is just me one on one with your babies I pay extensive attention to their needs to make sure they are happy and healthy when you are not there.
“I never have to worry about my dogs while I am on vacation when Jeff walks them. Violet and Ressin look forward to their walks with Jeff. Jeff is reliable and great with dogs.”

“Arrell had been SO amazing with our girl, Penny Lane! And she’s a handful too. We really appreciate how easy he is to work with and communicates great! Thanks so much!”

“Was so excited to have Alyssa help us again with Sunny. She’s just the best and leaves the best notes on her time with our pup. Dependable and highly attentive with our reactive dog.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. I used to have a sweet girl named Susie who filled my heart with love and taught me so much about patience, responsibility, and compassion. After she passed away three years ago, I’ve continued caring for pets belonging to neighbors, friends, and family whenever they go out of town. Whether it’s walking, feeding, bathing, or giving extra cuddles, I treat every pet like they’re my own. I’m dependable, attentive, and make sure pets feel comfortable, loved, and safe while their owners are away. From energetic puppies to calm senior dogs, I’m experienced in adapting to each pet’s unique personality and needs. I do have a puppy named cocoa as of December 2025. She is the light of our lives!! We love her so much. I work from home three days a week and go into the office twice, so I have a very flexible schedule! On my work-from-home days, I’m available all day to give your pup plenty of love, walks, and attention. Even on my office days, I can still accommodate morning, evening, and overnight visits as needed. Your pet will always be in a safe, supervised environment where they can feel right at home. I’m attentive, caring, and but most importantly will love your fur babies like they’re my own. I can also easily crate your dog if needed or follow any specific routines you prefer.
“Tori has been a life saver for our family and fur baby. She is timely and makes sure our fur baby gets a good walk on all her visits. She always remembers to give Bella a treat when the walk is done and makes sure she locks up our apartment. We are grateful for her.”

They will receive oodles of attention and playtime. We love being outdoors so we take our dogs out often throughout the day. Your dog can make it themselves at home! They will have areas where they can free range in our home. We will spend lots of time outdoors too.
About: My family has had dogs since I was a young child. I have been a pup parent over a span of 20 years. Providing a loving environment for your pup will be our pleasure. I work remotely 3 days per week, so I am available for boarding on weekends and a minimum of 3 weekdays. I am available for dog walking most evenings. I have a fenced yard, so your fur baby will have plenty of room to run and play. We also take walks around the neighborhood for a change of scenery. My child and I would love to entertain your furry family members.

Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, cuddles, or specialized care, I am committed to providing dependable and compassionate service As a recent high school graduate with a flexible schedule, I have plenty of time to dedicate to caring for pets. Gonzalo was absolutely amazing caring for our animals! He went above and beyond with keeping us updated, and giving extra to our little dog that’s more shy and timid. We would recommend him to anyone looking for animal care and we’ll definitely be using him in the future!

Micah is the absolute BEST!! She took super good care of our puppy dog. She went over and above what I would consider excellent care by doing everything we asked and more. While we were away our sink started to leak. Micah took care to protect our kitchen until we got home to repair it. Like I said, over and above. Do not hesitate to let Micah take care of your pets, you won’t regret it

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
