“Lily was an amazing house sitter and took such great care of our dog Marley! She sent daily updates with photos and we knew Marley was well exercised with daily walks and given lots of love. We came home to a clean house and a very happy dog. I highly recommend Lily and will definitely hire her again. Thank you Lily!!”

“Donatella is AMAZING! It was my first time using Rover and I chose her because of the great reviews from her clients and thought I'd take a chance on her. Turns out, it was a great decision. I have a senior dog that has severe separation anxiety and cannot be left alone. Donatella was so kind and patient with my baby. She even sent me updates several times throughout the day. I highly recommend her for all services in her expertise.”

“I had a house/dog sitter lined up but the had a family emergency and bailed on 6 days before I was leaving town. After searching, begging, and panicking, I got a response for Shea who was on board with the work and timeframe! He was very communicative, sending me messages regularly and responding quickly. He kept in the loop about my pets (dog and hamsters). And, one of the most important factors for me, he was kind and enjoyed being with the animals. He has experience with dogs so knows how to work with them and my dog behaved well and listened to him. When we got back my dog was a little confused - this was the first time we had ever left her with another person so we knew that she would be and Shea hung out a few minutes and we talked about some of the many many things he does while we acclimated a bit. My dog has an abuse history but with Shea she wasn't jumpy at all, she was comfortable and felt safe - that alone was a huge sign to me - just seeing how she reacted after a week with him and she was happy, comfortable, and calm. Oh and he pointed out an owie she got while we were gone so we could get it taken care of. Thanks Shea! I highly recommend him to others looking for someone!”

“We would work with Jenilee again. She did a meet & greet and asked good questions before we went out of town. She sent photos of the pets each day and was flexible with our return time on her last daysince we were driving. She kept us updated and cleaned up after one of the dogs got into the garbage. She also responded to text messages and questions before and during her stay.”

“Chloe was friendly, punctual, and happy to keep an eye on our energetic boy while we went out to dinner with my parents. Would absolutely have her house sit again for us in the future!”

About: Hi, I’m Melissa – A Lifelong Animal Lover with a Personal Touch Growing up with animals taught me early on how to understand and care for pets with love, patience, and respect. Over the years, I’ve rescued, trained, and nurtured countless fur babies. Since I no longer have pets of my own, every dog I care for holds a special place in my heart. I treat your pets like family—because that’s what they deserve. We specialize in providing one-on-one attention by only hosting one dog at a time (or siblings from the same home), so your pet gets a calm, loving environment where they feel safe and happy. We believe in positive reinforcement, mental stimulation, and physical activity—especially with the beach nearby for fun walks and playtime. I also bake healthy homemade treats and often add a little pet spa love for extra pampering. Your pet may even learn a new trick or two! You can get a feel for who we are by checking out our journey on TikTok at #lolasdoggycare. We’re here to love and care for your fur baby just like you would—maybe even a little extra. I have a small business from home, so the flexibility is there. I make pet products as well as homemade products so I set my own hours. I treat all the fur babies as if they were my own child or pet. I follow their schedule and give them my undivided attention and do lots of playing! We go get our walks or smelly’s. 🐶
“We were so lucky to have found Emily. Our pup, Junie, takes a long time to warm up to new people and it takes a while to earn her trust. Emily was endlessly patient in the drop-ins we had her do before having her stay with Junie for a week. In addition to being a kind and calm person, she knows a lot about being around a reactive dog and earning their trust. We felt totally at ease with Junie in Emily’s care and we loved how Emily put together a shared album to see how Junie was doing throughout the week.”

About: Greetings, pet parents! I’ve been compassionately caring for animals for over 30 years. I have a degree in biology and studied zoology and botany which led me to being an animal keeper at the San Diego Zoo for several years. I have experience with all breeds, ages, and sizes - including cats, birds, reptiles, and horses. I’m responsible, mature, and take care of other peoples pets as if they were my own. I love giving them lots of love and attention! I have many wonderful past reviews from a different site. I can gladly send screenshots upon request. I work remotely during the week 7am-3:30pm so I can conveniently provide care throughout the day. I enjoy walking, hiking and just being outside in nature- so having a friend to join me would be wonderful. A huge part of pet sitting in someone’s home is Trust. I maintain a clean home and ensure privacy and security. This means locking all doors, double checking gates are closed, keeping pets on leash at all times (unless specifically instructed not to), and following directions. I’m a mature, professional woman and I do not use substances, alcohol, nor coffee. I am typically very quiet and love to just enjoy the peaceful moments in life. I am sensitive, caring, and compassionate which means I will be treating your pet with the utmost love and kindness- as you can clearly see in my photos.
“I was so nervous about leaving my dog with a stranger for 3 days, but Claudia went above and beyond to make me feel at ease. She was kind enough to meet my dog beforehand to make sure it was a good fit—and my dog loved her instantly. She even rolled over for belly rubs, which she never does for anyone new! While I was away, Claudia sent me tons of photos and videos, which made me feel so connected. I had left very specific door-training instructions (my dog must sit before the door is opened, and the hallway must be cleared before the release command). Claudia followed these perfectly, which was really important to me for safety and consistency. When I came home, my house was spotless—honestly cleaner than when I left. Even my Brita was filled to the top! And the sweetest surprise of all: it was my dog’s birthday while I was away, and Claudia threw her a mini birthday party. She sent me photos of my dog in rainbow birthday hats, a princess sash, with balloons and a new toy. It meant the world to me to see someone else celebrate my dog with so much love. She also shared the cutest little updates, like how my dog would wake up around 2 or 3 a.m., give her a kiss, then go back to bed. It’s the small details like that that showed me she truly cared and kept our routine. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My dog adored her, and I’ve already recommended Claudia to my coworkers. I’ll definitely be hiring her again—not just for overnight stays but for occasional walks too, so they can keep their sweet bond going.”

“I was lucky to find Alexis and Adam to take care of my Malinois. I’d never used Rover before but I needed someone to care for her, walk her and stay with her while I was out of town. They sent me a lot of updates and pictures and I knew she was happy. I’ll definitely use them in the future :)”

“Jennifer stayed with our two pets, cat and dog for four full days in our home. She did a great job and kept us posted/current on how our pets were doing. She is a great communicator and really enjoys caring for animals. We will be booking with Jennifer again. She was great!!”

“My animals were in great hands with Terra. She gave them lots of attention and love, and kept me updated with photos while I was away. It was a real comfort to me to know they were being well cared for.”
