“Net did a fantastic job with our dog’s first Rover experience and we were happy to get the photos, update and report cards - assurance our dog was being treated great while we were away. We will be booking with Net again!”

“This was just our first meet and greet, but she did great! My dog is a rescue and has a lot of fears and anxiety. Linda was very patient, and I saw her using some of the same techniques a dog trainer told me about. We're looking forward to seeing her again!”

About: I have 2 dogs at home back in Austin, one since late 2012, the other since early 2016. I've always gotten along well with dogs. I've found that most of them are very perceptive to who dog people are and they basically always recognize that in me. My dogs back in Austin helped me get through the day. Other than going to school at Hudson Valley Community College, there hopefully shouldn't be any scheduling conflicts. I try to make sure my dogs get enough attention, and usually we can count on each other for emotional support when they wouldn't prefer to spend time with the other members of my family.
“Thanks so much for watching my pepperoni while I was supporting a long work week 🥹 I think she really enjoyed the company! You were very punctual and kept me informed on anything you noticed as well as following all of my instructions. Will definitely be booking again in the future!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover, I know just how special the bond between a person and their dog can be. About a year ago, I unexpectedly lost my own boy to a sudden heart condition. It broke my heart, and for a while, I couldn’t imagine opening my home to another dog of my own. I do, however, miss having dogs in my life—their personalities, their companionship, and all the joy they bring. That’s what led me to Rover! I’d love the opportunity to give your pup some extra love, attention, exercise, and companionship while you’re away. Your dog will be treated like family, with plenty of patience, affection, and care. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pup with someone else, and I’d be honored to be that person for you. 🐾❤️ I’m a bartender with a schedule that gives me plenty of flexibility during the weekdays. My days off are often spent getting outside for walks, runs, and enjoying some fresh air, so having a pup to join me would be the perfect addition to my routine! Because I work at a seasonal location, my availability will become even more flexible as the season winds down. I’m looking forward to using that extra time to spend with dogs, whether that means a long walk, some playtime, or simply giving your pup some company and attention while you’re away. I’m active, dependable, and genuinely love being around dogs, so I’d be happy to make your pup part of my everyday routine! 🐾 I have a large two story home with plenty of space for roaming and playing, as well as a fenced in back yard. We do not have any pets at the moment so it’s very easy to accommodate yours.

“First let me say... Petey and I absolutely loved Hannah from the very start... We had a very nice introductory walk before I left on vacation. Everyday she actively communicated... and every day she went above and beyond. Hannah took great care of Petey and I greatly appreciate that she did!! Even my neighbor reached out to me and told me what a great job Hannah did walking Petey. They said that they were able to see that her and Petey got along well. The fact they expressed that to me was probably a bigger compliment then I could give in this review. So yes... we loved Hannah!! We look forward to touching base with her and we look forward to asking her to look after Petey again the next time it is time to leave town. Thank you Hannah... we truly appreciate you!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wynantskill
Jenna was absolutely amazing! She walked my dog while I was away for the weekend, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared so much about my pup. I got regular updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was gone. My dog came back happy, well exercised, and clearly loved spending time with her. I will definitely be booking Jenna again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker!

Mary was absolutely wonderful! She took our last minute booking and went above and beyond walking our dog for over a mile each time and then spending time with him at drop off so he was calm and happy throughout the day. I definitely recommend booking with her if you want to be sure your pups are loved!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
