“I highly recommend Anish and Aaheli for anyone seeking a reliable and caring pet sitter. From the time of booking and throughout the stay, Anish was prompt with his responses, provided timely updates and photos, keeping me fully informed and at ease while I was away. My pet instantly felt comfortable and welcomed in their. It was clear from the time we spoke, dropped of Brady and picked him up; they go above and beyond to create a safe, loving environment. I truly appreciated the attention to detail, open communication, and thoughtful approach to pet care. I will definitely trust Anish and Aaheli with my pet again!”

“Kathleen was absolutely exceptional. From our initial meeting to the pick of my pups she was communicative, attentive and treated my pups like gold! I’m so grateful so have found her and highly recommend her for your future services!”

“I had a great experience with Ivelisse! She took excellent care of my dog and made me feel at ease while I was away. She was very responsive to communication and always quick to reply to any questions or check-ins. I especially appreciated the regular updates, including texts and pictures.”

“This is our 2nd stay with Christine. She has always communicated well with us on Chewie's stay. We love that she tries to watch only 1 dog at a time to keep her focus on the care of 1. We are already booked with Christine in Sept.”

About: I’m an experienced pet lover offering a safe, active home environment for your furry friend while you’re away. I know how important daily exercise and routine are, and I make sure every pet in my care gets plenty of activity and attention. My home is comfortable and pet-friendly, and I treat every guest like my own with patience and genuine affection. I’m attentive to individual needs, whether that’s feeding schedules, medication, or just knowing when a pet needs quiet time. I’ll send regular updates and photos so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I work full-time during the school year, but my schedule allows me to come home for potty breaks and check-ins throughout the day, so pets are never left alone for long stretches. Come summer, I’m off entirely and able to offer full-time attention, exercise, and companionship I have a fully fenced-in yard, giving pets safe space to run and play off-leash. I’m also happy to accommodate crate-trained pets, whether that’s for naptime, overnight, or just maintaining their normal routine while staying with me.
“We traveled from out of state and needed someone to watch our pup while we were at Sesame Place and having our dog stay with Meghan was so helpful! Very flexible with pickup and drop off and sent lots of pictures of our dog enjoying his time there.”

“I can't say enough good things about Rachel! Leaving my fur baby, Lucy, was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Rachel made it so much easier. She sent daily updates and pictures, so I could see Lucy’s sweet face and know she was in good hands. Rachel was incredibly attentive and caring, and it's clear she loves animals just as much as I do. When I picked Lucy up, she was beaming with joy and looked like she'd been well taken care of. I was so impressed with how Rachel had followed her routine and given her all the snuggles and love she needed. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Rachel, for making my trip so much less stressful and for being an amazing caregiver to my little girl!”

“Jenny was wonderful with my dog Coco. This is the second time she’s taken care of him, and every time I pick him up, he’s happy and relaxed. She always sends me pictures, which gives me so much peace of mind while I’m away. It really feels like Coco is at home with her, and that means everything to me. I truly appreciate the care and attention she gives him.”

About: Hi! I’m Jessica, I've been a pet owner for over 15 years and have cared for both dogs and cats throughout that time. I have also had the pleasure of caring for our neighbors' pets, and we currently share our home with two friendly, well-loved cats. What sets my home apart is the personalized, one-on-one care I provide. I am the sole caregiver responsible for every aspect of your dog's stay, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, administering medication (if needed), and providing individualized attention. I only host one family's dog(s) at a time, so your pup will receive my full attention in a comfortable environment. This is a family household where my husband and I live with our four children (ages 8, 5, and 2-year-old twins). The children are always supervised around visiting pets, and I remain the only person responsible for your dog's care. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet behind, and my goal is to give you peace of mind knowing they're being treated with the same love and care we'd want for our own pets. I can't wait to meet you and your pup! I work from home two days each week and structure my schedule to provide regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, and plenty of individual attention throughout the day. On the other three days, your dog will be let out in the morning and walked if time allows. I get back to the house around 5pm and will resume caring for your dog like they are my own. Your dog's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I only host one family's dog(s) at a time to provide a low-stress environment. Dogs are welcome on the furniture if that's what they're used to at home, and I'll do everything I can to help them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a family household, young children will be present, but I am the sole caregiver responsible for all pet care and supervision throughout your dog's stay.
“David did a wonderful job watching my pup! He sent pictures of her everyday along with updates. She seemed very happy when we saw her afterwards. I’d trust him with her again!”

“Always hate leaving our cat behind even for a few days, he can be a handful, but he adjusted! Stacie kept him alive haha - our main concern was that he'd drink water to avoid urinary blockage /crystals that's so common in male cats and can also be caused by stress. He seems to be back to his normal self now, and all is well! We'd definitely use Stacie again, so thankful she was willing to let him stay with her.”

“Meena & her husband took very good care of our 8 month old pup. She was updating us with messages and pictures throughout the day and went out of her way to care for him. We were at peace of mind seeing the pictures & updates throughout his stay. Highly recommend her!”

“Our Winston was very happy with his stay! Monica sent us pictures throughout the week and he was so happy. He loves being with Monica’s friendly dogs and had a blast playing all week.”

“Micheal is a great sitter. Before the first time boarding, he did a thorough walk through with me on my usual routine with my pet and my expectations, and he also provided the detailed information on the environment he provides for the boarding. His schedule is really flexible, is easy to reach and quick to respond. He took great care of my dog and my dog was really happy and relaxed while boarding. He updated me everyday on the status of the dog and also send great pictures. Thanks Micheal for providing a comfortable environment for my dog.”

They kept her happy, active, and healthy. Thank you, Max!”

“This was our first time using Rover. We always had a family member watch our dog so we were nervous trusting someone else. Traci and Jeff went out of their way to make our dog feel like part of their family. Pictures were sent twice a day with a brief update. I would not hesitate to use them again. They are good people.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
