Doggy Day Care in Woodwind Station

About: I work from home and would love to host and care for your fur babies while you are at work or away on vacation. I have loved animals of all types my entire life. My husband and I formerly rescued and fostered multiple rat terriers and placed them in loving homes through an organization called New Rattitude. I currently have a volunteer position with the same organization as a microchip coordinator. While I was in high school and college I worked for two animal clinics in the Metro Atlanta area and volunteered with local animal shelters. My family pets over the past 22 years were 2 Rat Terriers and 2 Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mixes that all lived to be seniors. I have experience in caring for dogs of all ages. Since I am at home so much, your dogs will be not be lonely, they will be doted on and treated like royalty. I have a large fenced in yard for sniffing, exercise and exploration. I only take one client at a time. I do not have any pets of my own currently, Yours will have my undivided attention and care. I will update you with photos and status reports on a daily basis. Since I work from home, I will keep your dog on any required schedule such as medications, supplements, specific feeding times, and potty breaks. Playtimes and naptimes will be intermittent throughout the day. I have comfy doggie beds throughout the house and under my office desk. My home is clean and safe. I have a secure, fenced in yard with many areas to explore and space to run around. All gates are padlocked. I also stay outside with the dogs that are in my care. I leave a full bowl of water out 24 -7. I allow dogs to sleep in my bed if that is what they are accustomed to, I can also crate them if that is preferred. Your dog(s) will be safe and happy as guests in my home. I have a Red Cross Certification in Pet First Aid in the rare occasion there would be a need. I am also sensitive to dogs with thunder and firework fears, we have a comfy furnished basement space that mutes the bad sounds and we hang out there until everything calms down.

About: In addition to common dog owner knowledge I am also equipped with exceptional K-9 to human communication skills that will help me make nervous, unsettled, shy, or anxious pets adjust to their temporary lodging. I acquired these skills during 10 years of K-9 protection handling and training education and practice along with 15 years of bodywork with a concentration in myofascial release. I can take pets on short notice for as long as necessary. Your dog(s) will not interact with other dogs while in my care, unless previously discussed. The interior of my 2500 sf home has the space and configuration to allow up to 4 dogs to be separated into their own "living" spaces. Having two of may own, I will only take two dogs as a time. I will provide exceptional care and 24/7 attention. Why I love dog sitting My entire life, personal and professional, has been with dogs afoot. I enjoy discovering their individual personalities. Meet my pets I have two Pomeranians. About my yard Fenced, however I prefer to hand walk client's pets. I am a jogger so if your pet is used to jogging each day for exercise we can make that happen. My experience administering medication I am happy to administer any necessary medications and supplements. I have been doing so for as long as I can remember, IV, IM, topical, and oral. I build my schedule around clients needs. Mine eat at 8 AM and 6 pm and get outside for fresh air and a bio bark every 4-5 hours. In a client's home, I leave absolutely no trace I have ben there. Extreme attention to detail, respect for your environment, and I follow instructions with precision. In my home, I follow the schedule I am given and keep a low and slow approach, giving them space, time, and calm/quiet emotional support to adjust. In both environments you will receive videos, pics, and updates multiple times per day.

About: Animals are my children! I have been raising dogs all my life; I'm a current dogmom to a 5 yrs. old French bulldog. He is a neutered, friendly, beta personality that loves having a playmate to run around the property with! I'm currently caring for my 5 year old French Bulldog, Carmelo. He is the 4th Frenchie I have had the pleasure of raising. I grew up with dogs such as Boston Terriers and Golden Retrievers. I always treat my animals as if they are just another member of the family. I am attentive to their needs, being mindful in giving them plenty of potty breaks and exercise. I also like to give them positive emotional attention so they feel loved and cared for in my home. It's also important for them to feel very safe and that they are provided with proper food/water. Either my partner or myself is always at home to assist with the animal care. I also have a living room cam in case we need to run out for a short time to ensure we always have eyes on our animals. I have a fenced yard in the backyard and have a large front yard where pets will always have the opportunity to go outside to potty, play, sniff the flowers in season, chase some squirrels, but all while being supervised. Whenever the weather permits we keep our doors open so they can roam free; we always have eyes on the dogs. If it's cold outside or hot we will make sure we keep the indoors at a comfortable temp using AC/heat. Your dog will always be comfortable, be supervised, and have access to water! I have been around dogs all of my life and I am very aware of what their body language tells me so they are in good hand as I am very attentive to their needs.
